  1. any player is at risk to being put out in one hit...but a player coming back from knee surgery..shoulder surgery...whatever surgery...you know where they are at structurally, progression wise..strength...basically the whole gamut and nowaday's coming back from a structural repair a lot of times you come back stronger and better with less chance to re-injure that again...tho it can happen but if it did, it would have happened anyway without prior injury...90 percent of the time Concussion..head/brain injury so many unknowns...and it's a compounding injury, which never..ever heals...just subsides until the next trauma..and takes longer and longer to subside again to function right..and it can occur from hits, and pounding that doesn't involve the head..which a lot of people don't realize..and sometimes from a really seemingly insignificant impact..or even just a fall to the ground.. As much upside there could be to Collaros...there is way too much downside and unknowns there it's not worth the risk..you can repar and rehab an injury and come back just as good..and even better, and you know pretty finite timelines for it....with the noodle...nope...Thanks for the work Zack and getting us that Cup, but enjoy Southern Ontario
  2. was gonna say as well...Quoting Penison who isn't connected in anyway to anyone who would give him any nugget of value is funny He's just stating something that most think is obvious so he wants to seem like the story breaker and insider How can anything be "all but done" in Dec when a player is still under contract to another team until February, and he wasn't released early. Nobody can talk to him within the rules yet, what a turd
  3. which is good...now we know what we have available moving forward and can plan accordingly
  4. Maston re-ups...solid re-sign
  5. good deeds come back to you though...we technically didn't have to let him go, so good chance if he becomes a Mulumba down there with a season..or two...then PR to PR very likely he will re-sign with us...and be an even better player
  6. figured something was up earlier this week when he said big news was coming..good luck to him and kudos to Winnipeg for doing this..I am sure if he doesn't get work, or a legit chance to get off a PR he will be back...re-structured at more $$
  7. Yeah lacks a bit of professionalism not at least in media saying Macadoo will not be back prior to this signing...possibly they told him at season's end he was not in plans, but who knows Maas can be a good co-ordinator...if all is going well, and has parts that fit his style...not sure Fajardo is a best fit for him so will see...and if things go off the rails there could be some nice hissy fits...and Dickenson didn't seem to have a lot of control of the sideline douchery and pre-game taunting tactics crap they like to do at mic field and stuff...so could make for some good sideline entertainment. Macadoo and Maas though can't change the fact that o-line is old and bad...and have 3 receivers and a tailback on the wrong side of 30, and really the jury is still out on career back-up Fajardo..
  8. Basically saying things that even the most casual of a fan could have assumed or stated
  9. So...Rider's openly state they are interviewing someone for an O.C position...when they still have their O.C under contract??..quite the professionally ran front office there, and sure to not cause any riffs within your staff...like wtf? So if Mass declines, or they (Riders) decide he not the right fit...they just tell Macadoo..."hey man we wanted you all along..."...greasy organization I hope Mass goes elsewhere and Macadoo up and quits on eve of TC...
  10. maybe...who knows...but I bet if he didn't get demoted...he would have been still here
  11. Oshea said that his role had been changed...and he didn't like it....and guess never came back....basically...quit on his team
  12. got knicked..but wasn't getting his starting role back and was told he's be a role player/back-up...prob similar situation as to Fenner..Fenner accepted it and was a ideal teamate..Gaitor didn't like it..so basically quit....in a nutshell
  13. yeah his name is Connor Griffith...plays for the Bombers lol
  14. it was Matt
  15. oh...sorry to hear that...:)
  16. Wonder if the Bombers..more specifically the players have set a precedence for future teams celebrations when winning the Cup now?..Personally I hope so, and glad that possibly we set the new standard
  17. I actually think it is a way to allow for that other Global guy to be on game day roster, while not increasing roster size...so basically a cost management thing to not have to pay that extra game day salary by only dressing 2 QB's Now is the rule you are only allowed to have 2?..or is it just need 2...can a team roster 3 if thats how they choose to use their roster?..and if not, being a new year can they re-designate Streveler as a receiver, but run exclusive wild cat sets with any one of him..the actual QB..Harris...whomever taking the snaps?...now thats the question I wanna know.
  18. all teams will carry 3...if not 4 QB's again next year...one way or another...you cant go with 2 and then due to injury float a guy in with no clue of your system..familiarity with the other players..etc..etc...many of you people think that thee are gonna be 2 guys..and thats that....that ain't how it's gonna be
  19. because he is allowed to play as a true dual threat QB..we havn't allowed that here
  20. yes he was, he actually extended plays with his feet and left the pocket to make throws..so to say that he just chuck's it away...or turtles under for the sack isn't entirely true. Totally true..and part reason why I say he is being somewhat neutered here and restrained and Lapo is too stuck in his philosophy of what he wants and over using certain things to the point of being counter productive. With the tools he has/had Lucky/Grant/Harris and even Augustine, and not evolving and creating things to suit and augment Streveler is a major fail..and was almost our un-doing this year when Matt went down Lapo leaving would be the best thing for Streveler's game, and for him to progress and be that dominant QB who would be a game changer and upper echelon guy...Lapo continuing on here status quo will severely hamper Strev, and most likely ruin him, or force him to go elsewhere and then flourish and make us look pretty dumb in the process for keeping reigns on him
  21. You don't want to add to many clauses into an incentive part of a contract...you'de much rather have a incentive you can track as a hig amount vs a low amount to forcast possible SMS scenariois and where you could be at later in the year....too many unknowns in one where you have Yards gained..td's etc..etc... If he has deal where he gets 5k a start say...you can account for a possible 90k against the bottom line and around trade deadline day, and if it is realized..or not...at least you know the minimum amount of SMS you "may" have to work with at that point
  22. I would say based on all things considered, and this being his second deal..a 200k base should and would be fair and a max for him, but built in play time incentives certainly...like a figure for starts, if he has taken away the starting gig at some point in the season
  23. YEAH...but was all we could get to come here in those dark days...things have changed now though, so days of having to succumb to also rans..never were's and hanger-on's is over...thank christ
  24. coming from someone who had a severe shoulder injury, 2 knee reconstructions , 2 known concussions , broken hand (x2) broken arm and played high level ball...at times with a cast...post surgeries..i can say without a doubt you don't really know what you are talking about...did you have a professional sports physician repair you?...sports therapist experts rehab you?...were you training and living llike a high level athlete??
  25. YEAH...gotta agree there....nobody in the media and as a fan even knows what it was...and could have been something relatively minor...but season ending none the less with prognosis for full recovery..the fact over the last 3-4 weeks of the year he showed no signs of discomfort as well as it not pinned down or in some kind of immobilization device would lead one to believe it wasn't extensive surgery
