  1. I agree...I think I see some realization of "the way" the last 2 yrs basically stole 2 cups away from us Also the kind/level of talent brought in this yr seems to be legit to actuallyfill a spot...steal a spot...or be heir apparent for a spot
  2. hopefully this trait of rewards to play....for various reasons other than actual skill or roster impact....has gone by the wayside this yr
  3. we used him all over...even off the edge as a end rusher at times...or showed as such...then dropped off
  4. yeah I knew there was a number tied to it....just had too many for different rasons floating in my noodle..Thanks @DTonOB
  5. Parker is our best pure tackler as a DB....i'D even go as far as to say on team....also closes extremely quickly on the play....he's be a good option, tho is a bit small in my opinion as well... Agreed...Cole would be a lethal safety....
  6. from not seeing any of the new guys in person...yet...Cole is our best option I believe for SAM...and was last yr as well....I got chatised on here last yr about comments on Kramdi but he should not have started....would start no where else in league and his spot was a direct Osh gift whether some of you wanna believe it or not....Cole is our best sideline to sideline tracker...can run with backs and slots....hits a ton and actual can tackle...he should be our SAM This yr...we only need to start 1 canadian on defence, and the factwe dont take advantage of any loopholes in the rules (nationalized) and last yr rostered a total dud all yr to also help in a real efective rotation with a qualified/skilled DI there is no reason to start 2 on defense.....If there are 2 canadians that are just head and shoulders above and better than any import player at a spot sure....but I see nobody on the roster who fits that narrative on dfemse....so why go that route If we choose to...then I Yhink it should be Ford over Kramdi at that spot as he offrs a boatload more....and still has upside..Kramdi is what he is
  7. yeah...each team has 200k or something like that to utilize outside the cap
  8. It affected his stats/performance...and thats all that mattered...Our gain when all said and done If you look atbhis tackle stats...yeahthey were less...but also in less games....but that stat also isnt a true indication of anyting and at times...Like Awe for intance is tackles after significant yards or first downs made... He looked defectiveas he wasnt healthy, and then as with NFL polotics...never got fair look as an undrafted guy...He will turn heads here...wish I was in the City to check out camp
  9. Generally where there is smoke...there is fire....Kelly being an known arsonist basically as well.....it all adds up in my opinion to lean in the former trainers way....also if independant investigators , whom talked to anyone who witnessed what went on, and it has been on record already there were several incidents that others witnessed...and they went back with their findings to the CFL which prompted them to suspend....me thinks its all legit. Also the fact that for yrs now the CFL has been pretty lacksidasical, and overly lenient with other punishments, and they came out with the biggest non-violent suspension...ever.....obviously what Kelly did warranted it...The dude is a stain and I doubt he will ever change, so hopefully this is the last we see of him....and on his way out revoke his MOP and give it to the rightful player as well
  10. Moses I like...was a top 15 in us recruit out of high-school and could be a legit guy on our roster. He had basically 1 real injury and came back and had a slight cartelidge issue he played thru...prob should have got it fixed and sat 6 weeks but soldiered on. He's 4 yrs removed now from injury...and I been told by some people who have trained with him he is 100 percent looks real good..and has the urge to get back to football...could be a real score for us and man o man I hope we go Cole at SAM and have him as the DI Cole played last year and rotates reps at will and Mac and plays teams as he cuts his teeth.
  11. hopefully nothing.....and they support the leagues decision...any sqwuaking would be a horrible look in my opinion
  12. Just makes that MOP award even more grimey and head shaking...But seen this coming 1000 miles away...and Kudos to the CFL for actually doing the right thing...esecially when it involved the Argo's premiere guy...he won't be missed league wide in the least while he is reflecting...Can't wait to see if he goes off on social media now..............
  13. we essentially replaced the best back up QB with a new...better best back up....abd the prospect behind him seems solid at first glance....Camp will be the true indicator...upgrade tho from 2023 I don't think Yosh is a majhor loss per say....As long as we can find a compatent replacement who can play we should be fine...Lofton should be that guy worst case, as we develop the heir apparent longterm guy...and with Eli back...Dobson hopefully with more polish to him, and the huge upside of Wallace and still having Kolo, I see no worries there really either...maybe some gelling at first....but with Bryant and Neuf next to whomever wins the spot they have on field coaching right there....and with some guys in the pipleline again...and the possible flyer on Manu....we upgraded I believe to a meaner group...younger...with upside Replacing Jackson with the actual Canadian RB/FB who actually has a real good skill set...huge upgrade on multiple levels...especially for roster...upgrade there Like the dline talent coming in....Was never sold or a fan of Walker, so I think we will be better with whoever is shotgun with lawson....and some intruiging guys competing for the end spots....Jackson's loss hurts, but bang for buck there and not knowig how many games we would get...with a guy on other side of 30...I like the route we take....camp will be the big battle and indicator there....we have some talent....and now with Jackson gone we can actually deploy it...so in my opinion the defensive rotation will be better all around, especially with Ford in the mix and the ability to if we want at times to go all Import on the line, and have some unique schemes with who we put out there. Db's not concerned with whatsoever...we have a proven track record of plug and play there...... LB's is the one spot a little curious, dare I say concerned.....No issues with Wilson....and at SAM we have options....I'd like to see Cole take that over and Ford win a Corner spot....we also have a couple interesting guys coming in who may blow doors off and take that role...Not sold...nor liking Kramdi there...adequate atbest doesnt cut it for me, and he will not develop into a true difference maker, so why extend that experiment...we dont have to, so why? and if we want that Canadian then Ford offers way more...more upside, and a way better athlete...so at moment to me Linebacker is the big question mark to be filled Receiever...nothing to be said there...we know what the main 4 bring....we have some intruiging options to replace Bailey and we replenished our Canadian backups....the new kid with more upside than Bolo I believe and I was one of the bigger BOLO tire pumpers here...plus he is an experienced teams guy...BOLO wasnt...we made him learn that spot RB's...Nothing needs to be said there, and now with Ilke we have 3 solid Canadians and a actual guy to do the full back role who actually can do more than just get in the way....and don't sleep on Smith....If he takes Mcrae's role, as well as win that returnr spot...Huge upgrade....and he could make real noise with some offensive reps...true game breaking skill set there Camp will be interesting and a true camp this yr with guys competing and jobs to be taken....
  14. they can power in way more effectively especially with a strong tilt...and are not just sent way outside...Like u saw a lot with Betts
  15. I think more than anything it's just work...and good coaching....and from experince I know how foot speed and general lateral movement improves from just shedding 15 to 20 pounds
  16. Dabreu...powerfully built....like that in a dline guy....could be a nice dark horse
  17. I'd be more concerned with that if he was a tackle and or projected to be one....Coaching and reps at pro level will be all he needs to be a mauling interior guy....you cant teach size and brute force, and the ability to wash guys out...which is what he brings....We will coach him up to get lower...how to create a strong base...and be a body mover...no concerns there...And if he has any hand skills, and seeing as he has above average arm length for an interior guys...he will be just fine....and he has prob one the best all time in Bryant with his hand technique to watch and learn from....If You ever focus on Bryant and watch how with even the most isnignificant looking thigs he does with his hands to disrupt a pass rusher you will truly be amazed...and what little effort it takes for him to do it....Dude's a master and part of why he has been able to play an elite level in his mid/late 30's...his bread and butter isnt necessarily speed and brute force
  18. i'd scoop Menard as Bennets replacement in a heartbeat...and with him and Lawson there are your 2 Canadian dline guys ...see ya Thomas..Schmeckle and Kornelson who I dont see amounting to anything really either
  19. I see no need for either other than PR emergency....same can be said with Thomas really...if he takes an active roster spot on game day roster...thats a huge swing and miss...he should be for insurance in case Lawson gets hurt, and Samson isnt cutting it in a limited role rotation...which is what Thomas should be at most....why slow down a rookies development if you dont have to....rostering a rapidly declining player soley on tenure/loya;ty at expense of a younger player, if they are at par is plain dumb
  20. he plays mean....exactly what makes an oline dominant...I actually shocked we got him where we did...I think some other teams scouting departments were asleep at the wheel...Even right out of college he would be the perfect replacement for Eli in the jumbo package..blasting bodies out of the way as he develops...If Dobson can come in and show he can be a legit left gaurd....an interior of Neuuf...Eli and Dobson ..would give us a nasty streak mean interior...and with Wallace coming in for Jumbo packages in Eli's old spot....would be a pile pushing juggernaut
  21. and he was on verge of leavibg too going into his second deal....but he gave it one more shot here...and paid off....too bad with BOLO we didnt allow him any opp whatsoever....ThoI think the new kid has more upside and use here....no knock on BOLO but he isn't the physical guy the new fella is I cant see any ay...or reason Schmekle and Kornelson (sp)??...can make the active roster...Kornelson possinly PR'd....but Schmeckle I see zero future here...and should have been clipped last yr..
  22. if he can punt the ball...and be consistant with it....I hope that spells the end for the global punter and we will roster a diff global that offers depth and ST usage....
  23. Just win here....or be contending yearly....that and the culture here is a strong pull to retain guys.....if they are used that is....we need to utilize our young talent and actually give them snaps...we have lagged a lot in that capacity over recent yrs...
  24. I like that signing...Talked to a few peeps familiar with him and rave about his work ethic and ST work...will fit in here realy well with the FIFO thing The bonus is as a guy coming in to fill the Miller role...as fullback he actually has the skill set and athleticism to be a threat out there and fully expect him to get some usage in that role....guys will need to be aware of him sliding out of the backfield on short yardage plays....he not respected, he could gobble up serious yards on pitches and swing passes...and 2 back sets in goal line area with him and BO together is gonna be a big plus too...Hoping too that Samson can push Thomas to the PR or the pasture...for the amount of reps Jake should get, ne better served with the young Bull....which can put him that much more further ahead in development for 2025...and depending on the defensive ratuio and where we choose to use the 1 starter we need...we may not even need to use a National DT save for just rotation and keeping guys fresh....which I hope is the way we are headed especially with Ford back....and if we actually use the Nationlized Yank option
