  1. wonder if we have been rather quiet in moves, and bringing anyone in because we plan to re-structure ZC this yr...and give him a big chunk of 2025 moneythis yr, and that guarantee of 250k for 2025 is the hit we take for that yr...That would go a loooong way in making things nice and spicey for 2025 Grey Cup run
  2. it's good....cause if he was to have...or dd have surgery it would have been done already...and he would be on crutches still pre-surgery.... Neuf I think will help a lot down the stretch....and if he is in at one of the guard spots we are better....and if he is the extra guy..again..we are better...and dont have to burn an import or DA spot
  3. Right?? I know it will never happen...but If I was running the show and driving the boat these would be the things I would be attempting...and if for anything disrupting the dynamics of a divison rival Standing pat...sitting on yur hands and resting on laurels and past success....leads to failure....the PR should be a revolving door to an extent continually being tweaked and gettig better guys in town...ones who actually can push for a spot...not what we have used it as...
  4. Grant was not anywhere near healthy...and shame on us for not addressing that....has become a trend And yup....worn out indeed...and playing with guys who shouldn't have been dressed...and taking off the vet DB for a high risk...not as high reward DB....And played with essentially 2 de's...as Bennettt was useless....and Hansen just didnt have it that yr...and i think hardly even got a rep....Too much Thomas...not enough Lawson.....yeah dead horse beating I know...but that should have culminated in a 4th straight cup win...we can slice and dice it any way we want...but in the end...our coaching killed us in both those Grey Cups...be it with poor schemes....poor roster configurations and playing guys who were hurt and useless...cause they were 1)favorite vets 2) bias of coach 3) poor roster/PR make up Inexcusable especially 2 yrs in a row with same blunders....and if it was in the NFL there would have been a house cleaning of some sorts, regardless of "yeah but 4 straight cup appearances" I have seen some "learning" this yr tho...some...not enough tho...and I have a shitty feeling that some of the same ol same ol is gonna haunt us come playoffs again...hope I wrong
  5. I dont see him as adept yet....at in-game adjusting to a DC who is countering their scheme...he seems lost and just throwing darts at the wall to see if something will work....now will he get better at that?...or is he just not capable?....time will tell
  6. doesnt hurt to try and force their hands....lol....
  7. some times it is yeah....wont be in a dome tho Outmuscled too is also a reflection of what you rostered...especially in one game where 4 guys shouldnt have even been on the field
  8. well...he is on the PR right now...if someone came knocking...it's his choice to leave, and force Stamps hands to roster him......pretty sure if he got that call from Walter's he would take it...and make Dickie make a decision...Him on roster for Johnson. and slot Lucky there.....and and have him work in tandem with BO...and even out as a TE in some packages as he is a good receiver too...I'd take that all damn day
  9. when we have won in playoffs....and the cups...it was ground game....wearing teams out and defense and special teams...and it coincided with a good roster...last 2 losses...run game was decent but they keyed on it.....and we didnt have the QB production to pull us out of it....defense got wore down from poor rostering and lack of dline depth, and the ST didnt take a game over Our 2024 start to season reflected all that as well...and....as you saw we were 0-4 and 1-5 at one point....it's more than just coincidence....it's directly related Even in 2021 we had some these issues, but we had the horses to over come it....now some those horses need to be put out to pasture to stud...or be sent to glue factory
  10. We do lots of baffling stuff...especially last 2 yrs...and into this yr
  11. That's a guy I wish we would scoop up as a nice accessory piece
  12. Round 2??
  13. Less games tho...as was only 16 game seasons
  14. And way better at reciever and RB as well
  15. Last 2 Grey Cups say otherwise Yup..we need him and he's our best option...that being said...until proven otherwise and seeing a different trend happen...I have not a lot a faith and we gonna need 3 phase football and zero...I mean zero coaching brain cramps
  16. piss poor attitude and character issues as well would blend right in.....Oullette too is a bust....benefitted from a superior oline in T.O....and is always hurt too....not good value for that 165k ...barely over 4 yards a carry aint cutting it for your high paid bell cow
  17. character and attitude issues are my understanding...I also think a coach like Dyce wasn't best fit for a guy like that....basically walked on him like Dickie got abused out west
  18. character/attitude issues....Morrow tho is garbage...
  19. he had some minor injury or something they were assessing I believe
  20. yeah...I think he wasnt 100 percent...and was also taking on too much....so looked like he was a weak link...as he was having to favor Lofton's side...and Kolo's....and was a basic pick your poison scenario...and we just didnt have enough fingers to stick in the dyke to stop the leaks I think tho with Yosh was his size slowly got bigger and bigger...and then the injuries and lack of mobility and quickness got amplified agree tho...I think we should use Schmeck as that 7th ol for jumbo and emergency on defence guy if Neuf isnt back....I also think we should stop being nice guys and go PR poaching and snag a upside National lineman off someones roster and insert them as the 7th....
  21. dont be so sure of that
  22. Grant had 10 as a coach I believe
  23. Looking at last yr Neuf was arguably our best O-line guy all yr not named Bryant....so doubt he fell off the map in play like some think in 1 yr....O-line guys generally don't...especially well coached smart ones unless they have no athletic ability to begin with. So was he really hampered with something and we held him in until we figured Randolph/Wallace were up to snuff? Moving forward if he heals up, is our best lineup for late season ground and pound a unit of Bryant..Dobson...Kolo...Neuf and Coleman.....?? I think we be better served with Bryant....Neuf...Kolo....Randolph and Lofton with Dobson and Eli as the extra's I use this combo as Lofton and Randolph worked really well in tandem and Neuf is vet enough to switch sides with ease, and him and Bryant in tandem I sure would be more than fine...I keep Kolo in there as I know Osh won't make that move even tho I believe Eli is the better of the 2.....and he actually did fine last game working at guard when thats not his natural position
  24. Not to take away from the accomplishments...but tenure over time gets u wins...you have to earn tenure for sure...but every instance is different. Osh is up there in wins...can't deny...Grant also over the 10 yrs also had 2 less games per yr too..so 20 games and likely based on his team's records probably 10 more wins minimum Grant was before my time...but Murphy...Riley...Ritchie I think were better "coaches" and had minimal bad traits that have probably cost Osh at least 10 wins over his career...and 2 cups Murphy was sure maybe more a hard ass...but also smart and would make decisions based on play...talent and in teams best interest...not his bias...Riley too...and tho he came across as affable and super nice...was also a players coach too ...but had no issues making the right moves when required Coach Ritchie was the ultimate coach...players would not only run thru a wall for but take a bullet for...and was like a father to many....to a fault...but he also didn't have support of management here having his back like VERY luckily Oshea got...or he would have had many more wins Lot of times it's timing...and timing definitely helped with Osh...don't get me wrong I appluad what he had done and is remarkable and he is the best of this era for sure (2010ish to now) But in my lifetime...and experience with all mentioned I rank them Cal..Ritchie..Riley even tho he was brief...but for a reason as he went elsewhere and was successful and reveared where he went..then Osh...when all said and done I sure he will be talked of as one of if not the best...but being a players coach...creating a great culture...and a family atmosphere wasn't a Oshea invention...if anyone can be credited with that here first it be Ritchie...and his wife...that's from first hand experience too
