  1. removing Thomas...Briggs...Benson....Darby...Kolo....more than covers any bumps...especially with 6 game money being diverted to 2023 bonus for 2024 I could see Brown re-upping for one yr...with a pile being given this yr, and his base next not being that cumbersome, and having a per start or performance clause included
  2. they played 14 already no?...so how u get 3 games left?
  3. 2 games left...hardly a big winfall but better than a kick in knackers
  4. Some people here put too much weight into age on olineman...as long as they aren't just fat turds with zero mobility (Dan Clarks) then mid 30's isn't an issue unless they constantly in the tub. Eli wasn't signed for 3 yrs to be a back-up...The gig is his next yr and likely we dont bring Kolo back. Gray is the perfect 6th lineman as he can play all the spots, so I can see Dobson getting the legit opportunity to un-seat him. And a guy signed now doesn't guarantee a spot come June either...well shouldn't and hiopefully Oshea has learned that lesson...Maybe Neuf becomes the extra guy as he is versatile as well...I just hope this spring there is legit competition in camp and no gifts and loyalty plays this yr
  5. Yup...never liked the Rourke hype train from day one..also he has a pretty high opinion of himself which isnt translating down south And our Ford...he either got real poor career advice...or he truly thinks his turds don't stink...there are thousands of guys just like him...and better...waiting for a workout ...born..bred...trained in the U.S who's phone will ring long before his...nothing about his measurables and minimal game film from college and 1 yr up here screams gotta sign this gem...total waste of a yr...he was never getting a PR spot I hope he does as don't need the boot licking incessantly up here Strev yup...he will be up here next yr...he's done down there
  6. Nothing wrong with a shot chasing a dream...u get one shot...lingering around clinging to.it when it's obvious it not gonna happen...as your career and earning potential erodes away tho is another matter...some guys just can't accept it just ain't gonna happen...is it blind stubborness....poor career advice from agents and those in your orbit...or a combo?
  7. **** quit nitpicking...roughly give or take...from what I heard bc was gonna pay him 750k per...so he made 55 percent of what he could have...if throwing away 350k+/- to chase a dream where he behind the 8 ball is wise then so be it...but it ain't...he will never get a legit shot...with the injuries this yr and poor play the fact he never got scooped tells one all they need to know...time to give it up and make nice coin in canada
  8. And could have made more than that up here...so...if it's the same prospect next yr...which it likely will the smart move is to sign a big deal up here...and perform....plain and simple... Always said if it was about dollars and cents ...and sense...any fringe guy who doesn't make an active roster out of camp...with no threat of being dropped will make more money signing a deal in Canada and being a big fish in small pond Desjarlais 2 yrs ago....Ford this yr ..and Rourke are prime example...Rourke made some money...half of what he could have..the other 2 made diddly and pissed away the yr...tho Desjarlais smartened up near the end...Ford didnt...and he won't get squat for offers this spring
  9. Exactly...if not for his unfortunate cfl gig...he'd be not playing anywhere...screw him...he showed nothing anyway when he faced real defences in Canada anyway...
  10. Why would u go there for anything in general?
  11. thats just a good representation of the plight that is T.O....Embarrasing
  12. yeah watch the narrative change and he is a key cog in restoring culture there hahaha But really for what reason would he want to go there to start up coaching....really what could he even offer at this juncture as well....and id numbnutz saying that cause Mace is there and AH will follow?..a coach he prob had minimal interactions with?...But hey I have no issues...one more unqualified and minimal experience coach on that staff the better to keep that turd train chug chugging along haha
  13. MTL played great when needed....we didnt.....and we got out coached....and we also hamstrung ourselves with poor roster moves.....thats why we lost...plain and simple...we will be back, and hopefully now after 2 yrs of failure, and a few common themes that contributed to the losses....our coaching staff has learned and figured out a few of the flaws...if not...I expect the same kind of disappointments even after another good yr
  14. Logan would kill it behind our line and in our scheme....plus he would bring that explosive speed out of the back field and also be your back up returner in game.....I'd sign him for 100k and let BO walk for 185 ....Schoen is a priority sign anyway you slice it...Him and Lawler together...all yr would be lethal, and who cares who else u roster with them and Demski/Woli.....has to be done Much as BO is a great story, local kid....yadda tadda....we can survive just fine with an import there...and would really help our SMS and roster configuration
  15. yup...thinking and wanting that.....is fine but coming out and stating that, and it being your intention....not such a smart tactic/move
  16. Yup...James Butler behind our line would have put up gaudy numbers with the same touches...Carey and Standback as well....Brady is good.....dont get me wrong but he's a work horse back who with lots of touches...produces...and produces well But unlike some backs...he's not a threat to rip off a 40..50...60 yarder for a score...but he will get you that score in 4..5 combined touches....and is an ideal back to grind a team don late in a game....but a guy like Standback...Carey...Deirtich Mills would do the same thing too put in the same circumstance
  17. yup....pretty much this....and more a home run hitter too.....we will be jut fine if we need to move on
  18. and who's gonna be employing a bargain basement contract this yr?..I don't see one anywhere
  19. he'd have over 2000 all purpose easily, and would be very interesting to see how he could be used
  20. In all honesty....I would prefer we move on from the Canadian back.....easiest spot to fill, and have viable back up...can be rostered on the cheap even into a second contract compared to a National. And if it saves us 100k+ in the process that can be directed elsewhere...its a no brainer.....Kudos to him on getting paid, but if his intent is to "re-set" the RB market he can do it on some one else's dime
  21. if he wants north of 185k....see ya....dont need to wreck our SMS when we can easily replace his production with an import back....his Canadian ratio spot there isn't a requirement or we fall apart....use part of his slary on an entry level RB...and funnel the rest to Schoen
  22. He's the 2 o'clock shuffle reward for sure...settling for scraps
  23. seems like a bit of a loose cannon on sideline too...loses his **** too much
  24. Oh that will be a given for sure
