  1. I don't think too many people will/should tell MOS how to coach. There is far more things to consider when choosing a lineup than who the best player is at X position. That is only part of the equation, and unless you've coached you will never understand that. MOS either went with his gut, or trusted some guys too much, or even went with some vets that were borderline and hoped they could play through the pain based on what he knew about them. He may also have gotten some bad info from his trainers regarding these players. None of us know the reasons for these guys playing, we can speculate, but that's all it amounts to really. At the end of the day, MOS has to not only balance his roster, he has to balance his culture and locker room and sometimes that means making choices that seem odd to those that don't have all the info.
  2. Tre Thomas, Ayers, Garbutt, and Rivers especially impressed me yesterday. Small sample size but they balled when the lights were on.
  3. You guys both have very polarizing takes imo. I would not want any other coach and am fully aware he has faults. So does every coach. The good outweighs the bad with MOS. What he is able to do as a coach overall is still very good work. It is annoying to see his stubborness on roster management play out year after year though. This is a problem he has had since day one, and isn't likely to change, but I hope it does.
  4. MOS is as responsible for our Grey Cup losses as any of the players. None performed to expectations in the last 2 Grey Cups. Coaches and players made mistakes that prevented the wins. The group, as a collective, let us down. Yes, Kuale revealed that early on.
  5. Lot of guys on this forum with very good takes on our 3rd down game. I have learned a lot and have been given a lot to think about from many posters not on your list right now. Some really good knowledge on this forum as a collective, but thank you for the compliment. I think more than anything your list is a pretty good collection of the posters that are the most opinionated....lmao...jk guys. Bacon gets my vote every time. In my experience, it is a little of both. However, a play call is a play call. Guys don't stop running unless they are given the option to do so within the play call.
  6. It was a very disappointing performance for sure. I am hoping it was just nerves got him and that he will get a 2nd chance in the next game and perform better....but I can totally understand if the Bombers just cut him loose now.
  7. I thought his throwing was good too.
  8. For sure. Their 1st stringers managed a FG against backups, and their 1st string D couldn't handle Strev and the 2nd and 3rd stringers I agree. We had almost zero vet presence today and still competed well
  9. They should be really concerned that their 1st string O and 1st string D laid giant eggs against our all rookie lineups. This may have been a win for the Riders but they should not be feeling good about it. Their first stringers were not good.
  10. Lauther might be cut too..lmao
  11. New punter might be cut before the game is over
  12. Wilson not doing much eithet
  13. Bombers love his skill set. Might be a PR guy
  14. Less red tape tho as Booch takes PayPal too.
  15. Or they are not liking what they see behind Dukes Magri was a rising star in the CFL. Sure the Argos have had past success, Magri was an integral part of their current success. He is the second scout they lost this year too.
  16. Vince Magri, AGM and top talent bird dog for the Argos, is gone to a scouting job with the Bill's. Massive hit to the Argos front office. One of the league's top scouts. The blows just keep coming. Karma? Stiggers, Oakman among others and the really good past 3-4 CFL drafts that were the fruits of his recruiting.
  17. I really hope we play the best players we possibly can under the ratio rules. Whether that is 7 NATS or 10. Couldn't care less how many we start if they are our best option. If they are not that's when we need to start counting how many we are using.
  18. I'm thinking just precautionary
  19. Also, Ford is not a raw rookie. He was in our system for a year before leaving. He should be way ahead of the rookie curve.
  20. I agree. If Biggie is healthy that game we are not even talking about his Grey Cup performance. It was a bad move to play him in hindsight.
  21. Bighill still has a lot to offer our team, it just needs to be in a different more managed way now.
  22. That could be said about any number of positions. Fact of the matter is that it is impossible for any team to roll out 24 A+ players in the starting lineup.
  23. It is immature. Good thing no one was remotely suggesting that they not use them because they are butt ugly. A person can say they are butt ugly and not be implying players not use them on that basis.
  24. I get that many here don't feel Biggie is as good as he used to be, and that is completely true. However, he is not nearly as bad as people here are suggesting. Is it time that we look for an alternative? Probably, because he will likely continue to decline. However, suggesting he couldn't make another team's PR or isn't a top10 MLB in this league is nonsense. The guy is now just an average MLB. He is neither an asset nor a liability. He has gone from MOP to average. Average isn't terrible though.
  25. For sure. I got no issues with any player who makes the conscious decision to protect themselves against brain injuries. I just wish they could make them look a little better.
