Calgary should sign him to replace Nik Lewis.
Yeah. We don't need him....
One would have to assume that he would have no interest in coming here. Winnipeg isn't a place for people with options sadly enough.

If Edmonton no longer has use for Shaw, I'd like to see a trade made, kid has some serious leg, accuracy is his issue, maybe a call to the "kicking whisperer" would be needed.
Something tells me that this isn't the last stop for McKnight. I'm all for bringing in players for competition, but bringing in players just for the sake of saying your bringing them in isn't a good thing IMO, maybe McKnight ends up being "the guy', but I just don't see it.
Shaw is worse than Palardy, I don't understand releasing players and signing inferior replacements.

He was a really productive player for the Jags in 2009, but injures have sapped his abilities considerably since then. I don't see him having much success here.

Sandra is nothing more than a stop gap option. His best years are clearly behind him, at this rate I'm just hoping we sign Burke Dales for some amusement.

Hefney should totally still be on the Bombers. In fact he should be starting this Sunday- Weston Dressler
Same Weston Dressler that has killed the Hefney the last few years?
Fixed it for you.

SIgning Boatman at the time the Bombers did was a fine move, they had injuries, they needed bodies, keeping him in the lineup though... my god why?
Steve Morely was a starter here for over four years, if thats any indication the Boatman era has just begun...

Why are people complaining, do we not forget when Berry refused to replace Westwood and/or having scrubs coming in and out and us ending up with Serna as our best option??
That'll probably be our situation this time next year, unless you have faith in Sandra.

I don't know how this topic turned into a Hefney topic, but I love what Hall does on the football and if nothing else it at least shows that he cares.
A lot more than I can say for the majority of this team.

So...QB Boltus, K Brody McKnight, WR Aaron Kelly, and Mike Sims-Walker....is every one feeling a little more optimistic now ?
Not really, aside from Kelly they're all garbage.
-
I'll say Dudley Guice, cause really why not?
-
How can you possibly justify keeping him when we're 1-10 or 1-11?

I don't care if a GM is on the sidelines during a game. All you need to know about Mack interfering with Burke and the coaching staff's responsibilities is that the minute he was fired Sandro Deangelis was on his way to Winnipeg and Max Hall was the starting QB. Clearly Mack was doing more than procuring players and managing from the front office. The coach (and coaching staff) should decide who is on the game roster.
You act like these are positive things.

When the Bombers play their last regular season game, the second after the game is over, I expect the Bombers (Miller) to have fired Burke before he addresses the media for his post game scrum. The stench of this team is too much. The only thing saving Burke's ass right now is that there is no one available to take his place as they are all working for other teams right now. Burke can take Casey with him.
I don't know if Burke keeps his job if we can't even manage to beat the Esks after the Banjo Bowl.

People want to cut Denmark, well sorry to tell you but he's been our most consistent receiver this year, as sad as that may be.
Consistently mediocre for two years now.
-
I haven't watched todays game yet, but Jovon Johnson seems to have played abit better lately.
Buck, Suber, Stewart, Denmark and Boatman would be my release candidates, while I would like to have someone splitting reps with Cauchy Muamba(I don't want him benched, suffering through with Cauchy is worth getting Henoc back IMO).

When considering a vet that might be available, I have a short list....all are really stop gap, not long term solutions.
Free Agents:
Porter
Jyles
McPherson
Jackson (Jarious)
Brink
Available by trade (speculative)
Elliot
Joseph
Glenn
My guess would be Jyles.
No way in hell Glenn is going to get traded by Calgary... not a chance. Me thinks Tate would be more likely purely because they don't want his injury issues.
I wouldn't give up much more than Buck and Steve Morely for Tate.

I'm not sure any of them will win those games to be honest, but the Bisons have the best team out of the bunch so I'll go with them.
-
Apparently he's getting some reps at Safety. Wonder where we would slot in an extra Canadian if that were to be the case.
Could start 3 Canadians at receiver when Watson comes back
Swiston at tackle instead of the human turnstyle Boatman?
That forces Morely back into the lineup. I like the 3 Canadian receivers idea, which is one I've been personally suggesting for awhile now.
As for this, I'm not sure I'm supportive of anyone who isn't good enough to play for the Ticats and as far as I can remember this guy was getting burned up and down the field against us last year.

Wrong choice. And by the time the team realises it, the season will be truly lost.
But I hope Hall has a hell of a game.
Judging by your posts and opinions you feel more like someone who hangs out at that other site .
Anyways, thankfully we didn't go full circle back to Buck although I wouldn't be surprised if hes back in the lineup for LD.

I still contend that keeping Buck over Elliot was a huge mistake.

I'd start Kohlert over Denmark or Pierce.
