with our current packages and blocking, Barry Sanders in his prime wouldn't get over 500 yards rushing this year.
Doesn't mean he shouldn't break 1 or 2 tackles once in awhile, guarantee you Sheets would more consistently be putting up better numbers in our offense.
-
no we don't. you are fooling if you think one of the backup qbs would look much better
It doesn't matter if they do or not, we know the current guy sucks and is about as bad as you can possibly get in terms of bang for your buck. Time to moooooooove onnn.

Chad Simpson is a dominant RB
Not even close to a dominant running back.

Is Denmark even still on this team anymore ?
I don't even notice him.
He only has 1 yard less than Matthews, and has more yards than TE. That is not bad considering he's a small target and our highly inaccurate QB with a questional mental aptitude can't hit the broad side of a barn, let a lone a small target like Denmark. Need a QB who can throw accurate, on time and lead his receiver, but all that would be asking a little much, we first need a QB that can find his open receivers on the field before he hits the turf.

Common sense would tell you we're NOT just looking at ONE game.
Mr. Perfect otoh isn't looking at the big picture.
-
I see a QB who seems to patch together one quarter of good play a game and then disappear for the balance.
Maybe a quarter of a quarter.

Burke is just looking for any and every excuse that exists that doesn't involve blaming Buck, he doesn't want to admit how badly he screwed up this off season.
-
Joey is a pocket passer. Invalid argument.
So Buck's not a pocket pass and he's not a scrambler? What does that make him other than useless and an ex QB that should hit the road but instead is getting employed by an idiot for a coach?
-
You're comparing one game versus a number of games in Joey's case. That in itself is the answer to why Buck has been treated different that Joey. Turnovers in the red zone are every bit as bad, as shown in the game against Calgary last year at home.
Big time facepalm to you.
-
Disagree Mike. Buck has NEVER turned the ball over as much as Joey did. It's one thing to struggle, its another to game in and game out (except for games against Hamilton and Montreal) to be a complete turnover machine. Buck is a problem right now, but he has a successful track record as a starter, and there is obviously a reason Burke is sticking with him.
and Joey has NEVER failed to move as pathetically as BUCK.

Tim Burke is not an idiot, this isn't Jim Daley were dealing with.
No, I'm afraid he definitely is an idiot .
-
shhh.
I'll tell it like it is.
-
Doesn't matter, we'll be lucky to even get a 1000 yard receiver this year.
-
If Buck is the goat then criticism should start to go further up the food chain to the people responsible for declaring him the starter, jettisoning experienced backups with a raw rookie.
Buck has been that problem for a looong time now, open your eyes.
Bob responds "I'll have to check out the game film and let you know about that"
Bob has turned into a real idiot the last few years.

god I hope so. It's to the point where I'm actively cheering for a Pierce injury because he is the worst possible option for this team right now.
I've been at that point for a couple years now.
-
Not necessarily.
Exactly, ISO's logic here is ********.
Heck Pierce wouldn't make their roster, period, they cut him not only because his injuries, but also because he sucks as a QB. STILL SO MAD WE BROUGHT HIM IN!!!$@@$#@!#!!@
-
I'm sure the receivers were just frustrated with the Brutal QBing, they probably gave up after the 1st quarter. It gets to the point when there are so many bad throws that as a receiver, you just start expecting the next throw to be bad as well. So when you start expecting everythrow to be piss poor, then catching catchable balls, becomes very difficult.
-
I'm not sure how accurately we can judge how much Buck has slowed down over the last year, if we can at all. This season is early, and last season he didn't have the opportunities to run like he did in 2011. The decline in his play is far more based on his poor decision making.and second guessing.
-
Clearly he has no idea.
-
It's not even debatable really, at this point in his career Buck Pierce is a lousy QB, Glenn is a pretty darn good QB. Oh and stop touting Pierces record like it means something, it's the most BS thing going right now.

I'll say it like it is, the above statement is purely brain dead logic.
