  1. So while I am also curious what is going on with Brady O, been thinking about Andrew Harris. Is it possible that no other team gives him a big $ offer and he returns to Winnipeg on a reduced deal? Calgary has Carey, Edmonton has Wilder, Hamilton Jackson, Montreal has Stanback, Ottawa has Powell. Will any of BC, Toronto or Saskatchewan make a big offer?
  2. Simoni Lawrence @Simoni_Lawrence Why nobody wanna play in sask ? I don't like Simoni but this was a funny tweet as was the response from Rider fans.
  3. Can't see Winnipeg, BC, Calgary offering Duke 300k. Doesn't seem likely that Hamilton did. So Ottawa? (Maybe nut unlikely). Toronto (maybe), Edmonton? Seems like this was bs.
  4. Picking the guy who once said that former residential school survivors need a stronger work ethic and not more compensation isn't the way to show Canadians you're not a bunch of want to be Republicans.
  5. I believe that player is Blake Jackson. Great question about Lawler. When does Lawler have to accept BC's offer?
  6. So even if one throws in CoFaj's $24,000 discount, that's an extra what 200k + on the WR position? How does this make you better? OL is pretty similar, National talent is meh, linebackers still meh, still going Full Cody Fajardo and you never go Full Cody Fajardo. Acklin is a nice add by Ottawa.
  7. That's an overpay for Duke. So same personal on offense with no real changes to the OL. Seen this movie, doesn't end well for the Riders.
  8. I suspect it might be a bit of an attempt to change the culture with the departures of Gainey and Purifoy.
  9. Rourke really needs to push for a better deal and OL.
  10. I think the next Liberal leader is Freeland and that is who fights the next election as their leader. I think Pollievre is the next Conservative leader. Not sure I see him winning an election.
  11. That will be a shame if Stove goes west.
  12. Nice add for Ottawa. They need some wr.
  13. Lewis lost my respect when she started posting anti vaccine nonsense on twitter. Also don't like her support of the Convoy.
  14. Wow, interesting move by Calgary. I see them as the club who is right there with us.
  15. I can see JA+BO being a dynamic duo and leading us to another cup but at the same time it hurts to think we are moving on from Harris. Let's just say this guy has a mixed of emotions right now.
  16. I have voted Conservative generally but feel left behind/like I can't support the current party. Generally the Conservatives will poll 30% nationally. That seems like the base. The issue is for them to win an election, they need 40%. Currently I don't see how they get that extra 10%. The support of Conversion Therapy, the refusal to acknowledge that climate change is real (see last party conference where the membership rejected a motion stating that the party acknowledged it was real), the support of the convoy all seem to be large barriers to them gaining wider support. Right now, I don't see a path to them winning big in Ontario which they need to do.
  17. Maybe Harris has decided to go out on top. Back to Back Grey Cups. Ending the drought. Bringing the club back to its rightful place of glory. Of course, I have no insider knowledge.
  18. I wonder if Harris is retiring or if he is planning one more year (JA did apparently sign a two year deal) and the plan is a platoon of Harris+Augustine+Oliveria with more rest of Harris, especially early?
  19. I thought Augustine was the most likely to go. Glad to have him back. Walters is killing it. I mean I was content to wait until Friday afternoon for a running back signing.
  20. Where do you see them picking up seats? Right now, they'd need 60 for a majority. There is no room for growth in the West, so we have Ontario and Quebec. The party almost never does well in Quebec, the only exceptions being Mulroney in 84 and 88 but he courted what is essentially the Bloc and Dief in 58 but that was Duplessis helping him. Do you see them picking up a huge number of additional seats in Ontario? I agree with JCon, this feels like the early 90s for them.
  21. Harper managed to win 3 elections and had a majority in 2011 with a slightly higher percentage of the vote than JT got for his majority in 2015. Given how crazy many members of that party seem to be, the fact that he was able to hold that party together and hold power for 10 years might just show he's a genius.
  22. Which one is Noeller and which one is 17to85?
  23. Given there membership process, I predict you see somebody who pushes the party even more right and makes them unelectable.
  24. I for one am just happy that we have built a culture that players are proud of, that makes them want to stay here and for others to come join us. We have come a long way from 2013.
