For Alberta's sake, hopefully Smith alienates enough voters that you get an NDP majority government.

I want to be the first to say that I can't believe that (insert player's name) fell to #8. We got a steal right there. -

Noel Thorpe is a jerk? Next you'll tell me water is wet. -
Albertan voters continue to struggle with going full MAGA. Similar to the citizens living in red states, they will vote against their interests because F Trudeau and the NDP = evil commies.

Excited for tomorrow to see who we land. -
That group is linked to Action4Canada which spouts a lot of nonsense on their website.

There's been rumblings for what 4-5 years about our locker room being toxic and having major issues. Doesn't this reaction just confirm that? -

I like the first pick he has for us, Lake Korte Moore, the rest is pretty poor imo. Rather have Ringland or another DB, a linebacker or wr in round 2 for example. Too many Saskatchewan products too (They always seem to go home) -
There is a video circulating on twitter of her today talking about Alberta partnering with Florida and DeSantis or other red states.

Its going to be heavy on the racist dog whistles for the PCs. Ewasko got called out for calling Wab an actor and that he's no Adam Beach. Confronted about it in the house and double down.

Way to miss the point but at this point I expect that from you. I went to school with Jeff and he wasn't a likeable person then and imo has gotten worse. However good of you to lie and say things that nobody ever posted. He gets in because he is in one of the most conservative parts of the city and yes he represents those voters. Doesn't mean he represents the views of the entire city. Oh and Gillingham got 27% of the vote, one of the lowest for an elected mayor ever. He also doesn't represent the will or wishes of most of Winnipeg. If you want to vote for a guy who thinks its a waste of time to listen to people presenting to council because in his mind he knows better (a fairly anti democratic position), advocated calling the police to roust homeless people from bus shelters and stated online that he would be sending the police to a community group that runs a food bank in his ward because they also supported safe injection sites then go ahead. Its your right in a democracy. If I lived in his ward, I would not vote for him for the aforementioned reasons. Additional reasons would be his complaining about the decay of Harbour View and it not getting enough funding despite him having been the councilor for that area for 16 years, several of which when he was on EPC (Clear he didn't do anything on the file) and his support of extending Chief Peguis and widening Kenaston.

I went to school with Browaty. He wasn't a person then that you wanted to have a beer with and he has gotten worse since.
-
Theo has a clear lack of formal education and serious mental health issues. Dangerous combo especially since people listen to him.
-
Great video on Twitter of Browaty telling a group addressing council that he thinks groups that come in to offer feedback don't represent the average citizen, that its a waste of time and how councilors are represent 45,000 people or so and he gets his feedback from Joe Sixpack who drives his SUV to Tim Hortons on the way to hockey while door knocking every four years. @Brandon still want to claim how great he is?

Surplus for oil companies to clean up the messes they are legally obligated to clean. $ for billionaire hockey owners to build an area. Why use public money to help people by spending on healthcare, affordable housing or education? Conservatism ladies and gentlemen.

We've talked a lot about Smith's plans in Alberta but here in Manitoba Heather's Cons seem to be pushing privatization of healthcare as well. See letter from the Neurologist in Tuesday's WFP and the comments from the two sleep apnea specialists. Healthcare is screwed if these assholes get elected again.
-
Browaty does a good job of addressing the requests of people in his ward. He is also very conservative and reflects the views of many in his ward which is also very conservative. Its the same area provincially that elected Bonnie Mitchelson from 1986-2016 and that Cathy Cox has held since 2015. Also the same area Joy Smith held federally from 04-15 and the Dancho has held since 2019. He is not a good politician.

@GCn20 How do you feel about the CPC moving towards the far right, emulating much of the MAGA playbook seen in the USA and embracing conspiracy theories?

The value in many of our contracts is amazing and huge for us. The Riders however look at what Lanier, Evan Johnson, Blake and Godbar are making. -
So if Alberta introduces user fees for healthcare, does the federal government withold transfer payments?
