  1. I don't think Bighill was throwing anyone under the bus. I think he was responding to the "OMFG teh Als coaches are big headed geniuses!" and defending his own coaches by saying basically "there was a break down, it happens, but we didn't lose to a team playing 4D chess".
  2. I've decided it's time to move on from Hall. I feel he has proven his defences aren't built to close out close games when it matters. Grey Cup 2023. 2022. To a lesser extent 2021. Ottawa. Labour Day. Even the last game against BC where a missed Kramdi tackle somehow allowed us to get to OT. When the chips are down and the other team needs a field goal, they often seem to get into range easily, and often further. Maybe it's just me. Or maybe we just need more playmakers. But there is a pattern here.
  3. Media hype aside, Holm was great this year. Unless of course Biggie was suggesting Holm screwed up on that one TD, in which case **** Holm. 😀
  4. 5 of 12 is only one away from a coin flip, which, to be honest, the Grey Cup kind of is. You have two teams that got there after either being the best all year or getting hot at the right time. You have injuries, hype, emotions, weather, usually a neutral site/crowd, and the any given Sunday aspect. I honestly think 50% is about as good as you can hope for. I think the only thing that might tilt it one way or the other is if one team plays at home.
  5. Everyone who is without a contract for next season, take one step forward. Not so fast Demski!
  6. I am going to let my lawn sign freeze into the ground so it get slowly buried all winter.
  7. After the benefit of two days hindsight, giving up a 30 yard pass on 3rd and 5 against Cody Fajardo to lose the Grey Cup is about the single dumbest thing I can think of. I can't believe the team put themselves in that situation and I hope they wear the cone of shame all winter for it.
  8. That segment before the game where they literally focused on every player on each team and spewed what amounted to "here is this guy...he is looking to have a great game today...here is another guy who also does things that are good sometimes...". It was cringe.
  9. If only we had capable backups the coaches were willing to play instead! We literally tried to "Weekend At Biggie's" our way through a Grey Cup.
  10. Taken from another site. Are these accurate? Collaros playoffs as a Bomber - 9 starts 6 tds 8 ints 1854 yards(206 yards per game) 144/209 (68.89%, 8.87 ypa)
  11. I don't know about lemmings off a cliff. More like a bunch of lemons in a car heading slowly towards a cliff for 6 months, all of us screaming at the driver to adjust course, but the driver smugly going straight off the cliff anyways because he knows best. The driver is Osh. We are the lemmings. This analogy sucks.
  12. A good season is like good sex...it's kind of a waste of time if you don't finish.
  13. Didn't Calvillo go to 8 Grey Cups in 10 years, and only win 3 of them?
  14. 1. It was a fumble. 2. Their horrid punter shanked it out of bounds and we weren't much worse off. The real problem was doing nothing with it.
  15. This is why I hate sports media. On CJOB this afternoon, Jim Toth: "You put Bighill out there, even at 70/80/90% because he is your best option. Does Gauthier break up that touchdown pass? No chance". * 30 seconds later * "Gauthier had a great game. This is like a Harris - Olivera situation; move on from Bighill because Gauthier is ready" I don't even know where to start with any of that.
  16. Our offense could have driven the ball when we had it at midfield with 3 minutes left. They couldn't, but Fajardo and the Als did. Both sides are to blame.
  17. I still haven't watched highlights of last year. Worst part is we know how fickle this sport can be. The last two years of missed opportunity could look even worse if another 29 years (I guess 27 now) pass.
  18. I really think our reputation as an old boys club is going to hurt us in recruiting and free agency. It starts with all the promosing guys we parachute onto the PR, only for them never to get even a sniff. And it ends with a guy like Ambles who will surely spread the word that the Bombers would rather play "their" guy on one leg than give him a chance to help the team win. FIFO - First In, or **** Off
