  1. Actually according to the CFL we're right as I posted on the last page which illustrates direct quotes from the CFL rulebook - But that doesn't mean that replay will get the call right because of the joke that is CFL officiating. It's not the first time a play has been ruled incorrectly by replay, and sadly it won't be the last.
  2. Burgess, you're wrong. Accept it and move on.
  3. we see it different. The defender did not turn his head at all. It was pi no question. Screening, illegal contact take your pick. But that didn't lose us the game. agreed except you could say it did lose it for us.... he got there way early and blocked kelly's vision From CFL.CA - How the league defines pass interference.... "It is pass interference by either team when a player physically restricts or impedes an opponent in a manner that is visually evident and materially affects the opponent’s opportunity to play the ball." Also..."It shall be ruled pass interference if a player "goes through" an opponent during an attempt to play the ball" In other words, the officials botched the call.
  4. Not that we need another reason to love the guy...Here is what he said when asked after the game about his ankle. "It would take a stretcher for me not to come back in. I love competing against that team more than anything in the world." Story link: http://www.winnipegsun.com/2014/08/31/adrenalin-helps-willy-walk-off-ankle-injury
  5. Ejiro Kuale ‏@EJKUALE 1m Hey I'm the vet on Defense so I'll take all the rap my Defense played great!!!!!
  6. Just keep handing off to Volny... what could go wrong...? Why would that be your call on third and less than one?
  7. We had been pushing the Riders back the entire second half in the LOS - To not have faith in them to continue to do that in that situation is baffling.
  8. No, but I do know that Burleson 33 year old wide receiver who is well respected within the NFL for how he conducts himself, which is obviously the opposite of the latter. The downside is that can't stay healthy, and can't play the slot (which is why he got cut in Cleveland) versus a 36 year old receiver who has essentially been blackballed from the NFL because of his antics on and off the field, nevermind the fact it's clear that he has no business playing football anymore. Johnson is up here for two reasons - He gets the attention he craves, and Wettenhall gets to sell a few extra tickets. Burleson is one of those veterans that because he is well respected, and can run good routes and has good hands, that could easily be a veteran pick up for a team in the NFL that gets into injury trouble. Even if that wasn't the case, he'd have zero reason to entertain the idea of playing here based on where he is in his career - But hey if you want to imply otherwise, I'm not going to stop you from being wrong.
  9. He's 33 years old. No way he's coming to Canada.could of replaced 33 with 35 and people said the same thing about Chad Johnson. Much different agendas.
  10. He's 33 years old. No way he's coming to Canada.
  11. Only a handful of Seattle's cuts have been announced so far. Nothing on Matthews.
  12. Phillip Hunt has been released. Muamba, Mulumba, and Bilduki have survived cut down day. Nothing on Matthews as of now.
  13. Joey Coleman ‏@JoeyColeman 12m $25K damage to 3rd floor mechanical rm at Tim Horton's Field due to fire/smoke. Room contains HVAC. #Ticats #YHMfire
  14. I would love to know how you come to that conclusion after two preseason games with minimal number one reps. Unreal.
  15. I'm most intrigued by Muamba. He had an outstanding game in week one and got a lot of playing time because of injury trouble for the Colts. Aside from that however he really didn't do a whole lot in the next three games. Mulumba on the other hand is competing with a fourth round pick, and two undrafted rookies for his spot. The fourth round pick is unlikely to be cut, and one of those undrafted rookies has 5 sacks in 3 games played, and the other had a sack tonight and also went to school at Alabama. There were a couple of injuries however at the position, so that wil; be the X-Factor in Mulumba's future I believe.
  16. Week 4 of the NFL preseason is seen as the time for bubble players to leave one final lasting impact on their teams. With that, here are how players did that may be of interest to the Blue and Gold: Henoc Muamba - 1 tackle Philip Hunt - 1 tackle Christo Bilduki - 2.5 tackles Andy Mulumba - 1 tackle - Had a roughing the passer penalty which wiped out a Green Bay interception.
  17. So was Goltz. Division 3, versus division 1, 2nd round NFL draft pick. Hell, even on TSN last year they were saying there were reports from Bomber camp that Goltz was STILL reading defences at a division 3 level. Apples and oranges.
  18. If you were paying attention Nate, you would know Goossen got hurt last game.
  19. ‏@ccharney86 1m @ShawnChurchill Did he hit it on a helmet on a follow through when throwing? Shawn Churchill ‏@ShawnChurchill 1m @ccharney86 that is correct
  20. Shawn Churchill ‏@ShawnChurchill 2m Drew willy just left practice with injured throwing hand. He is in a lot of pain. Being tended to by trainers Bob Irving ‏@BobIrvingCJOB 2m Drew willy hurts his passing hand at the end of practice. Writhing in pain.
  21. That's one tough customer you don't want to screw around with. He'll show you what's up pretty quick, especially when it comes to banned substances.
  22. In fairness that's not exactly what Lawless said. He expressed his opinion that we wouldn't be in on the sweepstakes if you want to call them that.
  23. gary lawless ‏@garylawless 3m for those asking, no, i don't think #bombers are in the Dressler hunt
  24. Tait is on a roll on Twitter with them. Check them out.
  25. Ed Tait ‏@WFPEdTait 2m Best of Ritchie: On the health status of Moe Elewonibi (long one) (1): "I think Moe's 100 per cent now. Let's put it this way:... Ed Tait ‏@WFPEdTait 2m Ritchie (2): Moe's 100 per cent of the 100 per cent that he could be of 100 per cent. You understand what I'm saying? Let's put it this way. Ritchie (3): ... "The 100 per cent he is now isn't the same 100 per cent when he came out of college. So, a 100 per cent is better than... Ed Tait ‏@WFPEdTait 1m Ritchie (4): than the 100 per cent he was last year, right? You get the picture now?"
