Not a 41 year old Burris. What do you think Marcel Desjardins will want for us to get him? It'll be 1 or 2 impact starters at least, some neg list players & for sure our first round draft pick. Perhaps multiple years. No thanks. Too much to give up for a guy that age. That would be insane.

Sorry, don't prescribe to band aid effects & bringing in Burris would be just that. I wouldn't be satisfied with just one year of winning. No chance. Finding prospects is not easy. If it was we'd have found maybe 10 or 11 Matt Dunigan's since 1990.

Short term is all he'll give you as he's 41. He may only give us a year. Is it worth tying up huge money for a single season? As far as long term recruitment goes look at the Bomber record of qb recruitment. It's brutal & a total failure.

When the Stamps lost in the 2011 playoffs it was strongly suggested in an interview that Drew Tate could be the starter in 2012. He said to reporters that he would never agree to play behind Tate. His comments raised a lot of eyebrows as they were totally selfish. Stamps traded him a couple of months later to Hamilton. Hank is a great guy when he's starting but gets downright pouty when he's not. I saw him play here in Calgary for 6 seasons. Lots of stories in the media or social media good & bad.

Bringing him back was a mistake. He should have been fired at the end of last year.

Nicholls may not be the answer long term but starting him next game wouldn't be the end of the world for Willy. If I was O'Shea, I'd do it. What's he got to lose? MOS is clueless. Guys like Buono, Hufnagel & Jones would bench him. And ready to go forward with a different starter from there. MOS is trying to shield & protect his guy from everyone criticizing him which he should but he has to have the rest of the team & the best interests of the organization at hand then do what's best. Keeping on playing Willy just seems counter productive to everything & the wrong thing to do.

I agree on the knee injury & the affects it has had. I'm talking that he may be afraid to get injured again & he's playing scared. I believe that may be is happening. Physically his knee & leg may be healed but mentally he may not be over it.

Kpt Crunch says every receiver makes a play for the ball & make big catches for their qb. Agreed but it goes both ways. Qbs have to be inspirational leaders as well. As in putting the team on their shoulders for a win. Does anyone think Willy inspires any kind of confidence? In the huddle do you think players think he'll put out the win? Nope. So nothing happens. I really think a couple of more losses & he'll be done as a starter with his teammates.

I think MOS will have until the second half of the season to turn this ship around. I agree with you that firing him now would make no sense & would be the wrong thing to do. However, if the losing continues into September then the real countdown is on regarding his firing.

Absolutely serious. Players do play better with better players around them. How hard a concept is that to grasp? As far as circus catches go, how come our guys don't do that? Bad scouting, inferior talent, lack of drive? Some? All of the above? Yes.

I don't think you'll see us trade for a qb until it's certain we're going to have the number one or two pick in the draft next year. It'll take that & another impact starter off our roster to get a qb off another team's roster. Unless we sign someone in free agency. I'll be shocked if another team will trade with us for a qb this early in the season.

He has guys that can go up & get the ball. We don't. Hate to say this but we need big, tall speedy receivers. Our receiving core can't get it done.

I can answer that for you KBF. All the former players here that are now in Edmonton play in a better system with better players around them. The result is they're playing better than they did here. It's better.
