So you don't agree that it's a case of a bad offseason? I think it is. Yes we could use a couple bodies differently but I don't see it making a huge difference. The times this team struggles is when the offense doesn't sustain drives. Collaros is paid as the best qb in league, we have what is supposed to be an Allstars OL with 2 extra bodies on the roster who are there so we don't lose them and we got receivers out the ass. Those guys shouldn't need the D to carry them.

Roster issues to me are minor. Yes having a better DL rotation would improve some things, but how much? Debatable. I don't see the D as the main reason for any loss really. Given the stat power, salary and depth on offense there's a lot less forgiveness when they don't perform. Honestly I think it was a rather poor effort from the scouts this last offseason. I wanted to see some new faces on the DL and linebacker especially but watching the preseason games no one stood out. I recall discussing that post game with friends and saying the only one who came close to standing out was Haba, and he was the only guy they kept. We got some old dudes and not a lot of depth in some places. To me that's on the recruitment as much as the coaches.

Cfl, small budgets, tons of places aren't being scouted.

Some people have built the roster "issues" into a much bigger deal than it actually is. And also think that by not completely dismissing certain players they are actually fanbois of said players. It's bizarre to me how this has been built up into this weird huge thing...

Never seen a guy able to go from not moving to going full speed like that guy. And as said above, one tough dude too. He broke tackles, he fought and scraped for yards, and a solid receiving back too. As much as I am supremely disappointed by his 07 grey cup performance, Charles Roberts was an all time type player who I don't think gets talked about enough as such.

Just imagine what he could have done if he have a damn about taking care of himself. Guy was just such a naturally gifted player.

Honestly he pushed him when he was in bounds and it's not like vaj gave himself up. To me that was close but ok. Plenty of dirtier hits in that game.

Well it's Halls MO. Start off giving a mile to receivers and they get easy catches and everyone thinks the Bombers D is awful but by the end of the game their overall body of work is good. Seriously my biggest concern with this team right now is Collaros.

I never felt this game was as out of hand as it was at the start and knew that the Bombers would pull it out if they stopped with the stupid turnovers. 7 gifted to the lions on a lame PI, missed 3 on a shitty snap on the field goal... then a bunch of dumb dumb turnovers by collaros cost them even more points. Hall made nice adjustments and the D was good in the 2nd half. Offense had no trouble moving the ball. Honestly i have no idea why BC thinks they're going to win without even trying to run the ball.
