  1. Lucky Reilly missed that one. Another full blitz and Loffler scrambling in cover 1.
  2. It's basically a consolidation of stadium debt. The Province is covering the debt now so they don't eventually default on the debt with the lenders (banks) but the Bombers still have to pay the Province. The terms of that agreement are being negotiated. Presumably the Bombers will pay less against the debt and will put money into a capital fund to maintain the stadium, somewhat absolving the City and Province of that liability.
  3. It's not a roster issue. If there was someone who could reliably catch punts and return kickoffs they'd be on the roster. They've had a hell of a time finding that person. Most of the guys they've brought in have had trouble turning the ball over. Fogg is still good on punts. Again he's been injured. There has been a big shift in the league this year away from setting up returns, more towards running formations to block kicks and prevent fakes. The Bombers are definitely a part of that. If it's 3rd and less than 5 most teams leave their defense on the field.
  4. How many TD's did the Als score? How many big plays did they have? The Bombers should have scored a TD by that D scheme you say is stupid and had a big INT by Sayles. The scheme isn't the problem. The problem are bad reads and some guys who are horrible fits for their positions, like Loffler. And these problems aren't even big problems. The biggest problem our defense has had on the whole for this season is having to play behind an offense that can go quarters without putting 2-3 first downs together on the same drive, let alone scoring points.
  5. Big story has to be Harris and Demski going forward. No chance we beat anyone left on our schedule without Harris, and probably about the same with Demski.
  6. It's because he misses a ton of tackles and makes bad reads. If we could play him at WIL I'd consider that, but he's way overpaid. Keep in mind he rarely played the middle in BC. Haven't been impressed.
  7. I'd rather let BC paying him $200,000. He hasn't been much of a difference maker.
  8. They have a good bunch of Canadians. The Americans are brutal aside from a handful.
  9. Too much faith in Lapo and Nichols, both of whom have been masked by Harris being ridiculously good. Now we are getting the full stink.
  10. Wolitarsky playing the boundary WR more now...mostly once Lapo gets desperate after Adams has a couple drops. Maybe just play him there all the time?
  11. Nichols had a ton of time there...started scrambling a full two seconds before any Alouette was free into the pocket. And when he scrambles he doesn't look downfield so the play is over.
  12. Nichols like a less athletic Alex Brink. Statue in the pocket, can't keep his eyes downfield when he scrambles.
