  1. These pro teams building their own production units to me is a huge hedge against broadcast and cable television basically not existing by the time the current media deals expire. Would not be surprised by the end of the decade if teams/leagues are producing their own broadcasts and streaming them/farming them out to streaming services.
  2. Regardless of record I see Sask being a tough opponent for our team. Their pass rush is great, they have two great backs. If they gameplan for us well it'll be a tough game. If we're going with the formula of our offense scoring 2 TD's but turning the ball over as many times or more it's going to get harder and harder to win games. Offense needs to be a lot better.
  3. Calgary is basically out of the race for a home playoff game unless someone implodes. The math for them doesn't work unless they can go 7-3 or better with 2 of those 7 wins against BC.
  4. I think he’s exactly where Nichols was in 18-19…next injury is basically a career-ender.
  5. He’s nowhere near good enough as a passer IMO. He’ll have to throw the ball 50-55 times to get 300 yards with how inaccurate he is. Not a bad backup.
  6. Think the panel needs to talk more about BLM and how useless he is. Calgary now losing how we did with Nichols. Blow leads from D and ST big plays when the O just can’t score another FG or TD or hardly even get a first down.
  7. That return touchdown before half was the TSN turning point. Literally every Edmonton player on the field was between the right hash and the sideline. If that was by design it’s extremely stupid and otherwise was just such undisciplined play.
  8. BLM just can’t make the plays needed to win.
  9. Yeah and if you’re so obviously not trying to gain yards and score just take knees to bleed clock, or put Prukop out just to roll forward.
  10. Calgary down two Canadian receivers.
  11. Nah we want Calgary to win precisely because we already have the tiebreaker.
  12. Great play call for BC against that blitz. Take advantage of inexperienced MLB and Judge.
  13. Almost exactly same look from Calgary that Bombers gave Rourke on the Jeffcoat TD.
  14. BLM is pretty useless at this point unless he’s throwing a guy that’s wide open.
  15. Quite likely they are setting something else up.
  16. Teach our guys can’t launch or land from/on anyone on either team on a kick play.
  17. I think the ball was tipped by Moore 44 so the DB had a right to the contact. Was a last ditch effort by O’Shea.
  18. That Rose PI is pretty blatant IMO. If he made a more aggressive play for the ball it might have been less noticeable, but he got beat and just grabbed onto 11’s left arm and held it. If he isn’t holding the arm 11 has a chance to catch a fairly accurate pass with two hands and it’s probably a TD. I think that one needs to be called….I’d expect the call if it was Schoen running away from another teams DB.
  19. Not so much the protection scheme as the get the ball out of Zach’s hands scheme. Thorpe basically has one zone blitz layered with another delayed blitz on most passing downs. The fumble play was a good example. No one is ever going to read that 37 will rush from a short zone, but they need to know Thorpe’s scheme and not expect to sit in the pocket for 5 seconds, Collaros and Buck. Bryant had a real hard time with Moore.
  20. I’m wearing shorts until Liegghio makes a Grey Cup winning kick.
  21. And he did make a Grey Cup winning kick. I think a point to be made here is that pretty much all kickers have these games. Medlock had one against us in 09 and it’s the entire reason he was up here to start with because he blew it in KC and Carolina later on. Anyone got an idea of kickers that are available right now? I mean the NFL guys are hanging around waiting for someone to screw up to get another shot. Who’s been cut this year? Is Crapigna healthy?
  22. There’s basically one kicker I’d trust in the league right now and he’s in Calgary. Whyte is good but his range is getting shorter. I don’t know if bringing random Americans in solves the problem. I would have liked to see some guys in for training camp not Mourtada. Now anyone in and on the roster is going to be under a 1000x zoom microscope and every missed kick will be a call for their head. I don’t really want to pay Castillo more than what half our starting receivers make to kick 80%, although yeah he was big in the Grey Cup game. Liegghio gets to have this feeling and hopefully builds from it because I don’t see a white knight with a big leg in our future this year.
  23. Already have guys here. I'd certainly rather have an American who can block in the interior than Greg McCrae out there to flip the ball to Grant immediately if he touches it on kick return.
  24. Less worried about the OL and more worried about Buck's ability to scheme for pressure, and scheme in a way that Collaros will run it. Collaros has a lot of blame here too, he has a way he wants to run a pass game and it relies on having a lot of time to move the ball downfield. Have to adjust to the D a bit sooner than the 3rd quarter.
