  1. yeah, that's the question, who is making the player personnel decisions there? I don't think Lapo is helping them any, but I think the problems with the redblacks go miles deeper than him. Flip it around, if you gave MOS the Ottawa job would the blacks be significantly better? They'd still be a free spot.
  2. what coach in the CFL could win with that talent? Vince Lombardi himself couldn't shine that shinola.
  3. love the note of fatherly disappointment in Matty's voice when he calls out a team for playing shitty, re that three times Ottawa has punted when they're just ten yards out of field goal range...like it genuinely makes him sad to see a bad team playing bad.
  4. aren't all scoring plays and turnovers reviewed by the command center?
  5. good news for Als fans is that they played much cleaner tonight than usual. They were giving away more than a whole field in penalty yards earlier this year ... this game, only 60. that first Lewis TD should've been OPI tho. Have no idea how that survived review.
  6. crunch of the game: Brady O windmills Elks 45 after a first down run. It's at https://www.cfl.ca/games/6174/winnipeg-blue-bombers-vs-edmonton-elks/ starting around 4:29
  7. apropos of nothing, I really like how TSN is shooting field goals from behind the kicker now. It really brings home what an athletic feat kicking is ... those goalposts are tiny at 40 yards...
  8. It's not just Nichols. Their offensive talent is just putrid. Their best receiver is a holdover from their 3-15 2019 team. They rolled out Flanders as their starting tailback fer chrissakes. Nothing against stupid sexy, but he's not a feature back. And in a historically bad year for CFL OLs, they have the worst OL in the league. Player personnel on the O side of the ball is ridiculously bad. It's like they're trying to get Lapo fired.
  9. fer chrissake TSN don't call attention to your inability to pronounce the big long unfamiliar player names. get a producer to call the Stamps gameday people and get the pronunciation straight. stop looking like ******* rubes.
  10. Montreal so undisciplined, they'd be a couple games better without all the bad penalties and turnovers. Sloppy birds. it seems like in the CFL this year, even as bad as the OLs have played ... a three-man rush on 2nd down is basically conceding the first down.
  11. Lapo has been reading this forum ... 2 straight 2nd-and-4s he's thrown the ball downfield.
  12. Week 11 Blue @ Antlers Edmonton again? Feel like Bill Murray watching Groundhog day football Elks do seem to play harder for Cornelius. it doesn't matter. Fourth quarter is here. The dark tribe side hones their daggers. Time for sacrifice. Playoff ticket punched! Will Blue be proud or hungry in December snows?
  13. Fajardo and it ain't close. Adams hasn't blown anyone away this year but he's at least capable of putting a 30+ yard pass somewhere in his receiver's catch radius. You could give Fajardo a corps of Burnham, S.J. Green, Arsenaux and Milt all in their primes and the Riders would still have no deep game. Give that same crew to Adams and the result would be at least fun to watch.
  14. Toronto was clutch today on a short week, credit there, but also their three-game win streak is all against eastern opponents, and they've got a super soft schedule from here on out, they don't play any teams with a winning record, or Calgary. I think Calgary's wins over the Riders are more indicative than the Argos beating up on the East.
  15. Bede had 10 or so yards to spare on that kick. just a beast of a leg there.
  16. such a CFL game ... fifteen points scored in the first three quarters then 23 so far in the fourth. remember #noleadissafe? wow, that pirouette catch by Daniels with the little toe touch to seal it at the end -- TSN top ten for sure this year.
  17. man why do you return that kickoff out of the endzone? a five-point lead really isn't that much better than a four-point lead.
  18. Nichols has a masters in sports management at Gonzaga and from what I've read he's got his eye on front office / athletic director / player agent roles. -- "I don't know what he was thinking there, he probably wasn't." love it when Dunigan's in the booth.
  19. Stamps worry me most. They've got some solid receivers, they got a running back who is finding his groove and Paredes is his usual self .. if Maier delivers on his promise or BLM somehow rejuvenates himself they could 2001 us.
  20. Week 10: Stamps @ Regina Stamps win was well done, They left Bo Levi Mitchell on the grill too long.
  21. damn you guys are ahead of me. just got to the drama
  22. why does Dave Dickenson always look like he's asking who farted.
  23. man two picks in the second half of a tie game .. BLM playing like an automatic transmission: no clutch
  24. Dustin: "Well that's one way to silence the Mosaic Stadium crowd!" Suitor: <somehow keeps talking>
