If you are naive enough to believe that is not a widespread issue in society let alone the CFL then have another toke .why do you think the CFLPA would not agree to texting for "recreational drugs". JH issue will now become is admissibility back into Canada if conflicted of a criminal offence, potential terms of parole and the quantity of the drugs.
It's pretty widespread here in BC that's for sure. Unbelievable how many
loserspeople here in Kelowna get high all the time. Maybe Hefney should be traded to the Lions, and then he can get on the BC bud. At any rate, this isn't much of a surprise. I'd be shocked if the entire DB corp wasn't getting lit on a regular basis. -
#Bombers DB Jonathan Hefney charged with marijuana possession in S.C. the day before he reported to training camp: report.

Day? Or month? Possibly year.
PS - how do I respond to more than one quote? I hit "multi-quote" and it gives me only 1 quote as an option. How do I change that?

i wonder if Freddie Harris' yellow goatee at 1:06 was a rookie hazing?
edit: and the ball on the hockey stick was pretty righteous.
yeah the yellow goatee had me LOL'ing all right.

When the Crow has an effective O running consistently......then I'll call him a "guru".
Frankly, midway through the season....that O, still looked like a LaPolice production - which probably irked Mack (after demanding radical change). We still slipped into some bad habits, near the end of the season - like not using Simpson in the redzone and falling back into that stupid "horizontal" passing attack, at times.
But its a clean slate, this year.
That last game especially, we went 100% with Volny....what was Crowton thinking???
-
i see that we've de-valued the word "guru" somewhat...
you are right, making the Argo defence look stupid wasn't really that hard.
-
No kidding, Burke calls out the veteran dbs for not showing enough intensity, well there's your intensity.
nice to see them bringing it in TC, but what we really need them to do is show it during the season too. Party in the off-season guys, or on the bye-week.

And just what is wrong with trying something over and over and over again?....it's bound to work sooner or later.
Sincerely, Paul
well they are having another baby so that philosophy seems to be working in the bedroom at least!

Suber and Pencer?? Talk about the mouse taking on the elephant! LOL!

Crowton's offense got progressively better last year. You could see him making adjustments as far as dropping plays that weren't working, etc, as he found his groove. Looking forward to see what he can do with a full year of his own offense.
Yes that at least is one big improvement, dropping plays that weren't working and were never going to work. Lapo seemed to have all the characteristics of an extremely stubborn person in terms of not wanting to give up on plays that the defences of the league had seen before, knew were coming in advance, and were not going to work anymore. That 20 yard out to Kito Poblah standing still at the line of scrimmage was a perfect example. Lapo called that play over and over again and Kito got murdered every time. The defence knew it was coming. By the time the ball got to Kito there were 3 DB's and an LB standing there smiling waiting to destroy him. I'm glad that Crowton has looked at the playbook and simplified it. When you get too complicated, guys make mistakes. And QB's and WR's get hurt.

i wonder who's receiver was involved?
wouldn't it be funny if it was Etienne?

Intensity rising at #Bombers workout as a fight breaks out. Looked like Alex Suber took a swing at one of the WRs
Near brawl at #Bombers camp. Punches thrown. Looked like Suber lost it. Burke punishment drill follows.
Another fight breaks out at Blue Bomber training camp. Coach Tim Burke responds by making entire team do man makers over length of field

Thank you. Montclair state Redhawks, wasn't that Kevin Glenn's alma mater?
Illinois State Redbirds.

would have been nice to watch Hall and Clement in the game next week that was SUPPOSED to be on TSN....oh well...

A lot of people would rage in an epic way. You think Mack is unpopular now the shitstorm that would cause would be a sight to behold... but I personally would be ok because I trust that if they say he's not good enough or not showing the required effort that there's a good replacement who will put in the effort. You remember how people reacted to Clint Kent being cut? Turn that up to 11 and that's the reaction if Hefney got the boot because he is a name and he's popular.
I don't think they should cut Hefney out-right, but if he's dogging it and not bringing it then at least put him on the 46 man and make him sit and think about his bad attitude and lack of effort for awhile, and see if THAT finally wakes him up.
-
Well then, why bother with a player having a valid contract or even having the CFL then? Why are we even here discussing football??? Let's just blow the CFL all up because we obviously underpay our players & the league is therefore a POS.
yikes - a bit of an over-reaction there - it's 5 pm in Calgary Iso - time to start pouring the Crown Royal eh?
-
-
sure did. glad the contract was upheld.
doubt Williams will play though... there's just not any incentive in it for him.
he'd probably make more this summer working on the new stadium as a labourer.

I am going nuts trying to figure out who this guy is...

Hefney Busted For Pot Possession Day Before Tc
in Blue Bomber Discussion

In 1980 kicker Bernie Ruoff was convicted of marijuana possession. Blue Bombers didn't want Ruoff back and were going to trade him.....
Ruoff retired instead - only to come out of retirement a few months later and would end up with the Tiger-Cats......
So if it wasn't for marijuana, we'd never have hired Bob Cameron.
