I wouldn’t. Judge and Bighill are a wash. Teitz isn’t anything special. Awe racks up tackles but a cheap shot artist. Herdman-Reid and Konar are meh, rather have Kramdi than either of those guys. I’d take Wilson and Cole over anyone over there.

Right. Montreal were putting Walby on and off the PR without telling him. The first couple times, he cleared waivers and they re-added him to the AR. Someone from the Bombers caught wind of it and swooped in to sign him.

Overpaying for Nic Moore that offseason was a big deal for the turnaround too. He wasn’t the greatest or anything but it showed the club had changed mentality and was willing to open the wallet. It was the first time in like a decade a sought-after FA didn’t turn them down.

Haven’t heard one way or the other about Clements, but he’s another guy I’d like to see them bring back. He’s been steadily improving.

No particular reason. I’m a football nerd, and I’ve thought about these things far more than I’d care to admit. For example in my head, star DBs should wear 21 or single digits. Nasty interior OL should be in the 60s. Tall WR’s= 88 or teen numbers. No reason why, it’s just an aesthetic thing for me. When I played minor football as a kid (Safety/DB), they gave me 46. Drove me nuts. That’s a fullback’s number lol. John Madden actually had a whole chapter on it in one of his books, he had the same system in his head. Probably the same reason I care about uniforms, turf, stadiums more than the average fan.

Not that it matters but I was hoping strev would take #16. It’s just such a perfect QB number, I can’t explain why. Same reason fast RB’s should be #22 and power backs #32. It used to drive me nuts that Freddy Reid wore 32 lol

What’s your take on losing those interior DL? Is there enough depth there to replace 2 studs + possibly Oakman as well? l see Ouelette as a huge loss as well, The announcers talked about Kelly but I saw the Argos running game as the harder aspect to deal with. No one was able to pin their ears back on the QB until the EF. I was actually really hoping to see him in blue & gold when it looked like Brady was gone.

Brandon Barlow to the Ticats. Low-key great signing by them. Speaking of Ticats DL, we’ve talked Kongbo/Bennett to death, Malik Carney is a name I’d be interested in if he makes it to FA. A 3 DE rotation of Willie/Carney/Haba would be cool.
