  1. Regina produces a different breed of Saskatchewanian. Edit: Regina is the heart of the enemy, you're in the brain.
  2. Isn't it human nature to release your emotions at sporting events? When the team is doing well, you're happy, you cheer, when the team does poorly what are you supposed to do? Detach your emotions from the team and not care? Of course I just sit there observing no matter what is happening, but for you full-humans out there, cheering and jeering is a two-way street. Perhaps now as his performances have worsened, Nichols will learn this. For those of you who are against booing that's your prerogative, now don't try to take away someone else's freedom of expression.
  3. I suppose the question is which of the following is more important: maximizing the CFL's TV presence or increasing attendance?
  4. If you don't sell out the cheap seats first, not many people will "walk up" and buy $70-$100 seats from a mostly unsold section.
  5. Prestige accounts for a variety variables, and to keep the topic relevant, speaking for Winnipeg and its people's entertainment time/dollars, the NHL is a much larger draw than the CFL.
  6. The opinions of the many outweigh the opinions of the few.
  7. While value works in the Blue Bombers favour, the weather works against them as much as it works for them, people have and/or find more things to do in the summer months, and there is far less competition for the Jets in the winter months. Also keep in mind that the drop-off from the NHL to the CFL is steep.
  8. Given that the location was more central, perhaps those outlets were built with the vision of having high traffic year round. Time will tell if the current location will lead to similar economic growth in the area.
  9. It's those extra steps that could be a turn off. I am not arguing, I am presenting an idea that could possibly explain why a particular poster and those who agree with them feel that way. I have no opinion on the matter, you should know this.
  10. Perhaps he finds it more desirable to eat and/or get a drink near the stadium as opposed to somewhere on the way. Hypothetically, if given both options, ask yourself what you would rather do. For example, Bell MTS Place has multiple restaurants and bars within a two block radius, would you rather stop somewhere on the drive, such as on Regent, Provencher, St, James, West Portage etc. before a game, or somewhere within that two block radius? It appears that blueandgoldguy has a comparable to hold Investors Group Field up to. His "complaining" appears to have reason.
  11. Are there statistics on half-time bands and other "game-day experience" gimmicks and their affect(s) on attendance?
  12. Hello, I am Spock. I have been sent here on a five year mission to explore the many facets of sports fandom in the city of Winnipeg. You may recognize me from another Winnipeg sports team's fan forum (HF). Mr. Spock
