ok yeah now that I read your post again I see what you meant.  Totally agree Hendricks should have stayed in.

Hendricks was up to around 93 pitches when they took him out but I think he could have finished off that inning & Maddon put in Lester too soon. Chapman was really struggling & almost lost the game for the Cubs. Will Indian fans now look to the sky & curse everytime it rains?

Hard to believe that there is no one on earth alive who saw the Cubs win their last World Series.  I really hope that its not 2098 before the Bombers win their next Grey Cup...

On the news, I saw a 108 year old woman in Chicago in a senior's residence who said she's very happy the Cubs won.

The irony is funny... 2013 we are absolute hot garbage but pick 2nd in 14 cuz Ottawa joins the league... 2014, pretty terrible again, but not as bad as Ottawa, 2nd pick in 15... 2015, team still sucks, but doesn't suck as much as Sask (I know this one is moot b/c we didn't have a 16 first rounder).... now in 2016 we have a 10-11 win season... and NOW we are likely to get 1st overall next year...

    Just lose Argos.

  4. It has really become difficult to post on this site. The regular season discussion thread & others slide down the screen so fast that I can't keep up with it. It's impossible to read anything or post on the topics being affected. It's random threads. Not all of them. What can I do?

Hypothetical. What if Calgary loses the Western Final and Or Grey Cup. Would it be a great season but all for not?

I think that it would be thought of as a wasted season. Just like the undefeated Patriots losing to the Giants in the Super Bowl. I wonder if you talked to Tom Brady about that season, would he just refuse to talk about it?

  6. Could you imagine the Jets with Hawerchuk & Selanne in their prime playing on the same line? That would have been scary. How different would the hockey world have been if Rudy Pilous wouldn't have told Micheal Gobuty that Wayne Gretzky would never last as a pro hockey player?

Lukowich played with Bobby Hull.  Gave Bobby a big shout out during his interview.

I loved the old school goaltending. The 2 pad stack. Staying up on their skates rather than doing a butterfly on their knees & sliding across the crease. Ranford on his back with the puck underneath him. Great to watch.

  8. Kris King looked in great shape as well. Has Tikkanen put on the pounds. I felt sorry for Mike Ford & Willy Lindstrom. Only Ford &  Lindstrom played in the WHA with Bobby Hull. It would have been great to get their takes on the game & playing here 40 years ago when it all started. Didn't even talk to either of them. Nice to see Eddie Olcyzk & Numannin back as Jets.  It was exciting to see all these all those great players.

Great play by Chick, hard to fault Henry on that one.

Burris took his hand off the football like he was going to throw then changed his mind. Instead of bringing the football back to his chest & holding with 2 hands he just left the football hanging down in his arm & it was swatted out. It was a split second decision that coast the RedBlacks the game.

  10. Henry Burris did what he always seems to do, His fumble in overtime. In crunch time he seems to make a lot of mistakes that cost the different CFL teams he has played on dearly. He knew the pocket around him was collapsing yet he was sloppy protecting the ball with both hands.  Thus allowing the defensive player to swat the ball out of his right hand and leads to the loss. He throws for over 400 yards & the fumble is all people will be talking about.

Hey, who wouldn't want 18-0 and Mr. Dickenson's team is damned close to it, aren't they?

O'Shea, to me, is like any other member of this football club right up to Wade Miller. If we can get better in here, do it. Is anyone better than O'Shea available? Not that I know of. Was anyone better available 3 years ago? Not that I know of. All I'm saying is that IF someone better was available, like a Dave Dickenson, I'd replace O'Shea with him in a heartbeat, not because I don't like O'Shea or think he's a bad coach, but because I can't ignore Dickenson's credentials. The only reason I'd extend O'Shea is because I don't see better available NOT because I'm so awed by what he has accomplished in his three years here.

That isn't the way things are done. You don't fire O'Shea as he got a playoff spot. You need to reward him. Not punish him.  Also, there's no guarantee that another coach would do better than Mike as he might do worse.
