  1. Our D has to be stellar for us to win in the playoffs. That is my entire point.
  2. Never happy with a win? Don't talk stupid ****. Stick with the Jets.
  3. We gave up a 15 point lead late in the fourth quarter & went into OT. Ottawa was marching in for a score. Bighill came up with a big play to win the game so props to him.
  4. If this is our best ball then the same thing will happen in the playoffs that occurred the past 2 seasons.
  5. It was better sure, but LaPo is LaPo & he always makes strange calls or gets conservative when it's crunch time. In OT he had to get aggressive & it resulted in a TD. But he only did it because he had to. And don't worry I feel the same way as you do about Hall. Looks like last week's D was an aberration. We went back to what Hall always does & has for 3 seasons. I'm glad we won but I saw a lot of things I didn't like.
  6. LaPo playcalling inconsistent. Shows some imagination on some plays rolling out Nichols or misdirection. Then goes entire series into a shell when the game was on the line in the 4th qtr. Stops using what works. Some bad playcalling in the Red Zone results in FGs instead of touchdowns. Hall being Hall with his soft zone in the second half let Ottawa back into it. Both coordinators have to go.
  7. Based on the replays I saw there wasn't enough evidence to show it was a completion. Yet the CC overturned it. Total BS.
  8. Of course they overturned the incomplete pass to complete even though it looked totally inconclusive.
  9. If we could have scored just 2 more TD's we'd be up 27-11. Underwhelming.
  10. We get 3 first downs to get to midfield. They take 3 plays to score a TD. Not a great start.
  11. Simonise panics & nearly fumbles away the opening KO. Bad field position.
  12. Buddy Tinsley (left) & Hamilton's Steve Oneschuk shake hands just prior to kickoff of the 1957 Grey Cup at Varsity Stadium in Toronto. The Head Referee is Paul Dojack. Just look at Tinsley's pants. Very interesting.
  13. I love the fact our OL are mean & nasty & don't take **** from anyone.
  14. Nah, Thorpe is the DC. You can see it on the sidelines with the enthusiasm he shows when his defense makes a big play. Nelson meanwhile coaches linebackers & is safely ensconced up in the coaches booth upstairs far away from the team below so he isn't a distraction.
  15. I also think Claybrooks needs to go to another CFL team & also find success as he hasn't coached anywhere else with his limited experience. Then he'd be in a better situation & wiser as as Head Coach. But that's just me. I know some team like Montreal would snap him up in a n heartbeat. I keep waiting for MOS to show me he's the man who can bring us a championship. I want the guy to succeed, I really do but I just don't know if he's the guy to do it. I think we're spinning our wheels with him. He's not a bad coach buy hasn't shown he's a great one who is capable of winning a Grey Cup. Maybe he also needs to go elsewhere to find success as well.
  16. So would I based on experience. My problem with Claybrooks is that he is recently retired. Shorter than Steinhauer. Yeah, it's been about 5 years but I think a quality coach has to gain experience coaching not only with his own team he's with but with others as well as Steinhauer has done. Claybrooks is with a top rate team as a Stampeder DC with literally a genius running the show in Hufnagel. He's a born executive, knows how to build a winning organization & to be honest how good would Claybrooks still be once he leaves the confines of the Stampeders? I think it would be a hard adjustment for him going from the Stamps to even a team like the Bombers that have a lot of the building blocks in place. he's also been recently diagnosed with diabetes which is a life changer. can he handle the stress of being HC so soon after dscovering he had the disease?
