  1. Idr that, I do remember his wife being reeeealllly peeved off with his being fired here previously. Buck married a pegger.
  2. Nah its their defensive backfield. Their DL is solid, but its not a big threat normally to our OL. The previous 2 games we gave up a total of 1 sack. With nuef at tackle rector and costigan took turns whipping him like a rented mule while the other got handled by bryant. Sayles and hansen would start for them. Imo they have the most over rated batch of ends in the league.
  3. Short of brady getting hurt too, I think his best shot at cracking the line up would be if grant wasnt able to go. Then he could DI as the KR. Other wise if we used a DI on mcknight and grant again we could sit mcknight and DI shaq. But then we'd have to have a strong package planned for him to make that worth It and I dont see that happening. Especially when demski can run the ball too as needed.
  4. the picture was hilarious. Looked like it was gonna explode. Yoshi gonna yoshi. But I sure hope he's back after the bye. But even more I hope we dont roll neufeld at tackle again. We got away with it once narrowly. BC is gonna game plan for it and exploit him bad if we dare do it again.
  5. I think you have to 100% Di one guy and rotate all of them. That is if Taylor is good to go. If not you move guys around to the best set up. Other wise it really comes down to who can play what other positions. Alford is in roses' CB spot. Can he play inside at hb? Mike jones is randle esq on his corner. With every one healthy I think you have to have Taylor, rose, darby and mike jones in. For the other spot, Nichols was better early on but alford has been better since the first couple games. He's shut down some of the best wrs in the league. So maybe you DI nichols and move him in with the NI Wil package for kyrie. And maybe you rotate some dbs. What a fantastic problem to have. We could get the extra db on the field with kyrie when if we use jake and kongbo at the same time too. A lot of options. Makes me worry about hardrick though.
  6. It's true the right team could well take a flyer on a guy like stove or Eli based on skill set and pedigree for Eli. It's not always star players who get the call. I think size haunts stove though. If he was 6 3 and 320 he'd never have seen the cfl. Yeah the dui could really haunt Lawler. But if he has some 10 catch 100 plus yard play off games he's got the size and skill set they want. I'd love to have him back. In a full season next year I think he'd be insane. Yeah at his age his play is un real. I can't even imagine if he improves next year too. They guy is just always getting better. He's soo hungry and driven. True. I think buck could get a look in a couple years. He's shown great flashes of Adapting and adjusting. Some great prep for ds too. But some times he gets in a play calling rut. And some times he fails to see adjustments like helping neuf or that he needs to get collaros or the run game into a groove. If the flashes are polished and he improves he will go far.
  7. I think he's also a guy who really fits the bombers target RB. He's very versatile both as a runner and with his positional skills and return ability. Its very rare to find rbs who have that kind of quickness, with a top gear, and who get low and run hard behind their pads. Not to mention he's made some sick grabs. The plays that stick out the most to me for him is 1, trucking the pants off some riders 2nd level defender, and 2 cutting back and out side boundary run and beat the entire argos D to the first down marker on the boundary side. It was some keith stokes level escapability.
  8. Idk, I think lawler could get an nfl offer. I dont think we would lose him to another CFL team though. Really depends on how he finishes the season. I think stove would need to finish like a man on fire to get an NFL offer this year, hes missed a lot of action. Eli I think has too few reps. Desjarlais would be a sleeper pick to get a deal. But I dont know if he really fits size wise down south at G. But he's soo darn young another season or two like this and some one will take a chance on him. I think the boat has sailed on kongbo for now too. Hes still young enough that he could have a monster year in the next couple and get an offer. But hes seen a lot of reps this year and while hes gotten a few pressures, he hasnt finished many plays. 10 games, 5 tackles, 0 sacks isnt gonna get you an NFL offer.
  9. Cooper is also a guy who returned some in college and is the right type of runner. So if Grant is banged up and the love affair with nelson is over, it could make sense to DI cooper to return and have a guy who can run the ball and catch the ball. Especially if harris is out. Cooper is a guy who hasnt seen a tremendous amount of carries, and would be good as a change of pace back. His quickness and speed would off set bradys bruising style well.
  10. at some point we cut the imp rb we had on the PR, dunno when. Honestly Id chalk it all up to lack of an OL (the lions some how have a worse line than the riders) and touches. 33 carries in 5 games in a joke. 4 carries in the last 2 games.
  11. Makes sense. Dont see any way any bomber would miss the GC due to a shot. Cooper is a talented runner, quick, fast, strong and tough, and has good hands. He hasnt gotten much of a chance in BC with that OL and 3 touches a game. I dont think he sees the roster or action unless some thing awful happens to brady though.
  12. Arent they talking about possible eastern travel restrictions for none vaxxed people in November? Bob irving says we also added RB shaq cooper. Boy that doesnt bode well.
  13. yes thats why I think he is a prime candidate to take over as the GM in bc with the new owners. I can see how my wording of that could be a bit un clear though.
  14. mmm Im guessing its a starting NI. Maybe neuf or jake, or demski. In the end I dont see any way any active bomber would not get the shot and miss a pivotal game.
  15. Am I crazy or was harris wearing a mask on the sideline when he had banged up his knee?
  16. I wonder if we put him in jones spot and slide jones inside, or if we disrupt the amazing rookie side.
  17. https://3downnation.com/2021/10/20/roses-are-blue-winnipeg-agrees-to-terms-with-all-star-db-winston-rose/ oh hell yes! This secondary is gonna be scary, especially if taylor gets healthy.
  18. It looked like from his twitter that he is vaxxed. Also I dont see any chance the bombers would trade for him and bring him up if he wasnt vaxxed and wouldnt be play off / gc eligible. This is possible, fifo you would think would have a PR guy sent packing. Unless, its a guy on the 6 game who wont be back this year, like crapinga or maston. Both of whom I believe are recovering at home. Or, it could be Carlton agudosi. Last week (iirc) he was moved from the PR, to the suspended list. We never heard why that happened. Could be he informed the team he didnt intend to get vaccinated and he was put on the suspended list. Maybe they wanted to activate him for the game too, but he wasnt vaxxed and the bombers werent willing to do the full hassle of the isolated room bringing him food etc.
  19. So the XFL has been having some meetings with no news breaking which has had me thinking. They just parted ways with their former president, who was supposed to stay on. I think itll be interesting to see when news does break from them. When the talks broke off with the cfl, the XFL announced they would try to come back in 2022, with some people currently speculating 2023 is more realistic. The USFL scooped the XFLs fox tv spot, but fox is investing 150m to the usfl over the first 3 years. I suspect the XFL will need to partner with either the USFL or the CFL to get any traction. Building roster, front offices, coaching staffs and support crews is very intensive and some positions like experienced scouts and pro head coaches are kind of limited. If they arent partnering with the CFL, I could see them making an announcement around and before the grey cup game. Especially if their announcement is a partnership with the USFL. If they make an announcement and start making official moves after the grey cup, I think its likely that they return to the table and establish some sort of CBA and partnership. Even if its just access to players coaches etc or even shared advertisement fluff stuff. With out a president, or much of any football minds involved they are pretty destabilized for a spring league aiming for a 2022 launch. Making 1 big announcement with a new president, some football types and maybe another media type would be a big step towards starting again. (before probably folding yet again after 1 year)
  20. DONT YOU PUT THAT EVIL ON ME RICKY BOBBY!
  21. 100%, manitoba has a bit of every thing to offer. And while Mos had a great career in TO, he's pretty entrenched in winnipeg. It took a long long time to fully build the culture top to bottom, I dont see him leaving that easily. I dont think walters is a threat to leave either. He, wade, and mos have a synergy and shared vision that is crazy to try and replace or replicate. Similarly this role is exactly what the Mac attack wants. He gets to spend his time with his family down south, and has a lot of input on scouting and his hours. Ted goveia, is going to be a GM and or president of another team though imo. As will rigmaiden at some point, maybe with the lions as soon as next year with the new owners in place. And I could see goveia bringing a coach or two like younger and costello with him in new capacities. I could see edmonton wanting to get away from this toxic crappy culture they have and bringing in a guy like goveia in the off season to run the elk.
  22. This is an interesting quesiton. Im hoping its some one who is on the PR and who wont be traveling or playing in the play offs either way.
  23. JWJ to the xfl 3.0 in the off season.
  24. agree 100%. I think he could be very effective in a lot of short route wr/sb play to off set his carries too. Mesh concept, outs, screens, hitches etc. I wish we'd involve him in the passing game more this year and split his carries.
  25. I wouldnt be surprised if we lose an ol, likely bryant or neufeld to retirement. Neuf isnt as old but he's had a lot of injuries over 10 seasons. Nick taylor will be 34 next year. I too hope we move on past darvin adams. He isnt a no2, or even a no3 wr any more. WIth injuries, I could see harris wanting to try next year but likely we've seen the last of harris as an every down every game back. I think the NFL may come calling for alford and nichols. They may well come for lawler too. If not lawler and even bailey could be prime FA targets in the cfl. Collaros, and all our OL bodies will be prime targets in free agency, for those who dont re sign. We've gotta keep Eli and Desjerlais. Jeffcoat and Wilie would be hot commodities in the FA market too, they may have aged out of the NFL window now and might want long term high paying deals. But I could also see them wanting to stay here together. They are real close, and are great together. The mafia will have a tough off season. Not just in re signing guys who took cuts this year, but in possibly replacing a handful of starters who are nfl / retirement bound.
