  1. The missed convert kept us from "potentially" going to overtime. Toronto kneeled the ball with plenty of time on the clock.
  2. My bigger issue with leggs then the 1 point we missed was his punting and kickoffs in the Grey Cup. Especially when the other kicker is a beast. In terms of Placekicking/Converts Bede cost his team more then Leggs did.
  3. I would like to see the team free up some cap space so we can go after Kenny Lawler who i don't think will get a 300k offer again. I assume that Schoen is gone to the NFL and that's extra painful due to the production we got out of a rookie minimum salary. Players who could be traded/released to save some cap space. Johnny Augustine. I believe he was signed to a deal that paid him more or less the same as Brady. With the Canadian depth we have we don't need a 90k a year backup runningback who hardly plays. We could find a league minimum Canadain backup for situation where we don't dress an american backup runningback like with did with McCrae. If Brady is injured going into a game we have the canadian depth to start a league minimum American back. Jackson Jeffcoat - He's a good player but his injuries hurt the team this year especially in the grey cup. The only other knock on him is he's one of the more undisciplined players on the roster in terms of taking penalties. He's a good player. But i think we need to get back into the mode of have higher quality backups and maybe take a reduction in the quality of starter at this one position. IMO we lost the Grey Cup because he went down and we had no backup on the roster. Kelly had nothing and should not have produced a TD but that loss of contain doesn't happen with Sayles at DT and Jeffcoat at DE. Bighill - Can come back at a lower salary. He's still solid and has been durable. Kyrie Wilson - Injury history a risk. We should be able to find one linebacker. Stanley Bryant - Retires. Replace him with a league minimum replacement. I though that the offensive line we dressed in the late season game in BC look shaky in the first half but in the second half they played pretty well. Hopefully Desjarlais is available. Rose - underperformed. Would only bring back at a significant pay reduction. Couture - He's a guy you could probably trade for a high draft pick to a team like Edmonton or Ottawa and replace with Kolankowski. Use this high pick on an offensive lineman who can come in on a rookie deal and add depth behind the starters. Nick Taylor, Matson -No need to spend up on defensive backs. With everyone healthy we discovered quite a few good young defensive backs like Houston, Parker, and Lawrence. Alden Darby worth bringing back on a reasonable veteran salary. After what happened i think he will be more interested in taking a decent offer from Winnipeg this season. Ellingson - Would save that money and take some of the salary saved from other subtractions to focus on Lawler. If Lawyer can't be signed maybe we look at bringing back Ellingson on a reduction and another vet such as Burnham. I personally think Bo Levi Mitchell wants to test free agency because the job in BC might be available. If BC goes that route they won't be able to spend like this at receiver. Burnham most likely to be released due to age and salary.
  4. maybe it wasn't easier but it could have been a lot harder had he rushed for 3 touchdowns and won the MOP and Most Outstanding Player. There's going to be a nice rivalry going forward with Toronto. I hate them like you wouldn't believe.
  5. They were solid until Jeffcoat went out at we had no backups at defensive end. That hurt us on the first down run by Kelly where we lost contain.
  6. At least Andrew Harris was a non factor.
  7. Never said I was a moderate. I'm left wing. Just curious if any of you think you are moderates. Just curios if the "anyone I don't like is a facist dictator" crowd views themselves as moderates?
  8. I was a big fan on Bernie Sanders because he wasn't afraid to meet with dictators. Certainly didn't make him a dictator in waiting. Its really a shame the democratic party subverted democracy to stack the deck against him twice. We could be in a much better position today had they not. But the democratic party is simply too right wing to allow that.
  9. Yes it is important to listen to views from everywhere. I stand by that. We can never challenge our thinking if we refuse to even hear an opposing views. Like Christians who refuse to watch Bill Mahers documentary ect. If you know you're right then what are we scared of. Yes personal freedoms are important. Taking them away is the first thing that facist dictators take away. I'm assuming I'm the only person here who actually knows what it's like to live in a country led by a facist dictator? I do agree I should have versed myself with him before posting the link to provide context.
  10. I didn't quote anyone. I posted a link for discussion. I don't know much about Viktor Urban just that he's modeled after Singapore leadership. I also think that Putin is a fascist dictator and that Russia is even more corrupt than Ukraine.
  11. You guys are incredible. I did no such thing. I simply posted an article link. It would be nice if we could return to the days when people could calmly discuss issues rationally.
  12. You guys should step outside of Canada for a while. Wanting to have more rights is pretty much universal but in some countries they are not free to express that for fear of the government killing them. Believe me the stories that people told me after I built trust with them when i was living in Nicaragua were heart-wrenching. Having rights that some government can't take away everytime there is an emergency or an emergency they create is extremely important. I agree with that needing to react to emergencies. The problem is what happens when a facist dicator is in charge. Society at large will not realize what they are until it is too late. At first they will manipulate and make everyone believe there is a real emergency and be granted special powers. But the time there is a push back it will be too late especially with how comfortable so many people have become with the granting of special powers.
  13. Have you ever disagreed with someone and not resorted to Trump style personal attacks?
  14. Off the top of my head Freedom of speech is pretty important especially if you guys are right about PP and he gains power. It would also be important to have a list of rights that a time of emergency doesn't negate. Because by definition facists are militant and a facist could be elected and then create a way and then invoke a time of emergency to gain further dangerous powers.
  15. I haven't once said that I'm going along with him and there's zero chance I'll vote for him due to Ted Falk being my local rep. But even without that it would be unlikely that I would vote for him but not impossible. I'm merely point out to you that there is a large swath of Canadians that like the idea of more rights. A group that goes way beyond the whacky protestors.
  16. Again you're really jumping to conclusions. It was no accident that I used the word "seems to be". I don't trust him at all.
  17. I have many clear medical issues. That's why these things not being available to anyone but government workers was so horrific for my life. Yeah I acknowledge that i misinterpreted and that im not fighting for rights that exist but rather for new rights to be created. Surely you guys would be on board with limiting government power considering you think we are on the verge of being run by fascist dictators. We could act now and courts could limit their power once they are in.
  18. Define undemocratic things? Keep in mind I know very little about him other than that he seems to be standing up for struggling Canadians and claims to want to fight for more rights for all. And what exactly are you going on about. Like i fully understand if for business reasons such services don't exist. If no ciropractors want to work they should certainly not be forced to.
  19. I thought i could take for granted that the government wouldn't disallow me from exercising at the gym (especially during winter), going for massage therapy, chiropractic and yoga. I guess i misinterpreted my free ability to do basic things as rights that i didn't know i didn't have.
  20. I wasn't talking about the convoy. I think i made it clear that I was talking about the larger group of canadians who are fighting for the things i said they were fighting for. For example the federal party which has the highest numbers in the polls supports what im talking about.
  21. I've never stated that this was about me. I was first in line to get vaccinated which almost instantly restored some of the things that I need in order to be healthy. I know things will be conflated so i'll expand my statement. What people want is to get rights in writing for things that we all took for granted as rights but it turned out to be that we didn't have any of these rights. Im not convinced i agree with all of it but I'm just staying that there's no appetite whatsoever for a right wing dictatorship (facist) in Canada. It's quite the opposite. The left wouldn't want it because its right wing. And the right doesn't want it because they're more focused on freedom from government. It's actually quite laughable to suggest there's an increased appetite for facism in this country.
  22. Jokes aside. Literally what is being fought for is an expansion of personal rights. Or at the very least a return to the normal rights that people used to have in this country. Wacko's exist. No doubt about that but absolutely everything would be painted by wacko's if all positions were defined by the character of the dumbest person who supports them. There are of coarse wacko's who actually believe that the vaccines were killing people in large numbers. But there's a large segment of the population that actually have some level of empathy for those who were not privalaged with the same level of intellect as you or I and feel that people should not be punished for making a medical choice beyond the punishment of the natural consequences they will face for making that decision.
  23. I don't think people are yearning for fascism. There's actually a big movement in Canada for more personal freedoms.
  24. It's important to pay just as much attention to what views are from around the world when it comes to a war like this because of how much propaganda exists at a time of war.
  25. I'm not a Faj supporter by any means but I think the argument could be made that the team around him especially the offensive line is worse then what is was when Fajardo took over for an injured Collaros. Fajardo has put up respectable numbers considering the pressure he's been under. He's a bit of a warrior type guy but I do think his upside his limited by his lack of touch on deeper passes. He'd be a nice backup guy to bring in on a team who wants to go with an injured prone starter or a team looking to give a young qb a chance and want a plan b. They will need to address their pass protection if they want to go with a guy like Bo Levi Mitchell next season who's body is already wearing down considerable under the best of conditions. I'm reluctant to call Fajardo a game manager because I don't see a lot of game managing skills there. But he's more consistent than Dane has been this season. Dane when he's on makes the ticats tough to beat but he's laid too many eggs this season.
