  1. Sucks more for SASK and WPG who do not have that capable veteran backup like BC (GLenn was their starter anyway this year) and Calgary have. Glenn & Tate have a history of folding in big games. Their question marks are as big as the Bombers & Riders IMO.
  2. Not at all. If Sunseri continues to play like he did yesterday then you may have a point, but like many QBs before him, you can't judge after a QBs first game as a starter because then guys like Calvillo, Allen, & Willy would've never seen Game 2. If it doesn't work out with Tino then Doege or Price will step in. One of the greatest QB/offence minds in this leagues history (Cortez) says that Tino has what it takes, Chamblin said this morning that they aren't bringing in any other QBs, that tells me they think they can win with what we got. I think CC & GC know what they're doing.
  3. Drew Tate is himself made of glass and a lot of his teammates can't stand him. He also folds under pressure as evidenced by last years WF. He's got the mental toughness of a bag of jellybeans, sorry but I'd rather stick with what we got.
  4. One thing I find amusing is that many nonRiders fans say that Durant is overrated & average at best and then as soon as he's out for the year they say the Riders are doomed. Lol
  5. Reilly has a history of injuries as well, be very interesting to see if he can stay healthy.
  6. Simply because of QBing, BC has a competent QB and Sask does not. We can make the game up against BC true but I still think the Riders are on the verge of a big tank and they will be the ones we catch. It's still tbd if the Riders have a competent QB to step in, Sunseri didn't look good yesterday but he has shown spurts against BC & Wpg. Also it's tbd if Price or Doege can step in positively if Tino fails, we shall see. One thing that I am glad about is that our OC has coached some of the best QBs to ever play the game, it's a marathon, not a sprint. With BLM out & with lots of injuries in CGY they are catchable considering we still have 2 games against them.
  7. So you missed how losing your qb can change a teams fortunes huh? Well let me help you out. http://www.cfl.ca/video/index/id/102817/autostart/1 It was one game, our QB needs to be better no question. Thankfully the supporting cast around him is among the most talented in the league. Also with other starting QBs like BLM & Willy out for several games puts the Riders in a better position.
  8. That's an odd post. Aren't you using the I internet to defend Winnipeg?Truth is, Sask & Manitoba are like KitKats & Wonderbars, both great treats just different tastes. Given what's going on around the world we are all pretty lucky to live where we do.
  9. Blah, blah, blah...why do you always need to prove you were right? Blah, blah, blah...it's so exhausting. Blah, blah, blah... What's wrong with patting yourself on the back? If you make a good call, there's nothing wrong with it.I agree Perfect. I was was right when I said we'd go 3-0 against you guys this season.
  10. Blah, blah, blah...why do you always need to prove you were right? Blah, blah, blah...it's so exhausting. Blah, blah, blah... What's wrong with patting yourself on the back? If you make a good call, there's nothing wrong with it. Not even about patting myself on the back, it was just incredibly obvious. We all knew it. I guess I should have said what *we* knew was going to happen. Re Sunseri. It was one game, no question he looked aweful but so did many good QBs in their first game as a starter, ie Willy, Calvillo, etc. Good thing is that if Sunseri doesn't pick it up quickly we have other options until Durant gets back.
  11. If you recall, Willy's first start a couple years ago vs Mtl he struggled big time as well. That said, Sunseri's performance was very disappointing, it's like he just stood there like a statue. Easily one of the worst Riders QB games I've seen in over a decade. I think he gets one more shot to prove his worth then it's time to move on to Doege or Price. With the very good team that we have, it's tough wasting time on a QB that might get better. Good news around Regina though is that it sounds like Durant could be back in time for playoffs. Fingers crossed.
  12. Kind of like a small Winnipeg without all the potted plant crappers eh? Haha we have an nhl teamJust what we need, a less then adequate NHL team. What's next, are you going to wish the Leafs on us?We are also a short drive from cottage country. We are close enough to vist mlb or nfl on a weekend and I'm pretty sure the building I live in is taller than anything in regina's 'downtown'After visiting regina for the last 3 years I'm shocked anyone can live there. It's painfully obvious the riders are the only thing to do there. You do realize that the Riders draw from more then Regina? It's a little known fact that everyone growing up in Saskatchewan longs to live in the sophisticated urban paradise that is Winnipeg. ( where is the sarcasm smiley) Anyway, I am sure you are quite happy there so good for you. I know that. It is literally the only thing to do in sask. Winnipeg isn't that sophisticated but sure seems that way compared to combine land. Lots to do in Regina, parks, festivals, theatre, museums, galleries, sports, etc. Add to that a booming economy, what's not to like? http://reginainpictures.blogspot.com Fact is both Winnipeg & Regina are fun towns. Not sure why there is so much hate. Hate for Quebec however, I get that.
  13. Durant, Lulay, Mitchell, & possibly Willy out long term. Hope for the best for Drew, sucks big time for the league.
  14. Give. Me. A. ****ing. Break. No kidding. All teams hold closed practices, if they don't they are doing a disservice to the fanbase. Like Cortez has stated before, yes some teams actually plant fans to scope out opponents practices. Aren't all NFL practices closed to the public?
  15. Learn to embrace and love the hate. It is there because the Riders are a winning team. See... it's comments like that that really rub me the wrong way. Makes me gag, literally. Hate whomever you want. I'd rather cheer for a winning team that everyone hates then the loveable losers. Have fun cheering for the hated loser with no qb I like the long term prospects of the Riders as well. They have been built the way a team should be; along the lines. Plus, with all the awesome support they will continue to thrive. The good news for the Bombers? With IGF they will become a choice destination and will start to make some serious scratch. Great days ahead for the Bombers. Finally the Riders will have a worthy Prairie rival because the Stamps are November bed crappers. Good post. IGF & the new Mosaic Stadium will be the envy of outdoor stadiums in this country.
  16. Kind of like a small Winnipeg without all the potted plant crappers eh? Haha we have an nhl team Been looking moreso like an AHL team however.
  17. Assholes like Migs could easily come here. Everyone should be lucky he hasn't because he is a hell of a lot worse than me or franc. Excuse me? Who exactly are you and how do you know me? I am a diehard Riders fan but as I've said on other forums the fanbase that closely resembles ours is the Bombers fans, loud, commited, loyal, and passionate. I got nothing but 100% respect for the large majority of Bombers fans. That said, I am a Riders fan first and I enjoy some good online jousts between rivals so I'm not quite sure what your issue is son. PM me if you'd like to discuss
  18. Go Bombers! I hope they blast the Lions into smithereens tonight. The Lions never learn to shut their mouths before big games. Bombers 38 Lions 13
