Rory Kohlert to "test free agency"

At this point, I'm really expecting him to re-up with us. The comment by Desjardins in this article kind of sums it up.

“At this point, it doesn’t look like he is somebody that we will be able to sign, based on what was offered to him before us acquiring his rights and what that number is, which is not unexpected,” Desjardins said, “We kind of figured that was going to be the case.”

I like it.

Kohlert can be a very valuable receiver for us.

Here is CFL.ca's take on the top 20 free agents:

20.  Chris Milo

...

3.  Keron Williams

2.  Shea Emry

1.  Nick Moore

How are Nick Moore, Keron Williams 1 and 3 ?

Actually I'm a bit shocked that Simpson and Ford are both in the top 20 as well.

Stegall and Simon won their Most Oustanding Players awards when they were 31 or 32.

did you just compare Getzlaf to two of the best receivers to ever play in the league?

Nope.  Just making the point that players can still be at their best in their 30s.  There are plenty of good receivers who can dominate in their 30s.  Those two just came to mind first.

It's funny that Noeller likes all your posts.  Guess you two are BFFs.

Great players can be productive into their 30s, but it's rare that receivers can dominate in their 30s.

Now being a NI yes Getzlaf is quite likely to play well into his 30s, but if you expect him to maintain a high level the whole way....

He said two or three good years.  Getzlaf just came off a 1000 yard season... what is so hard to comprehend.

Funny, how no one mentions that Watson is 'pushing 30'...

You've been in a mood ever since the whole Burris thing came up - relax, breathe... he's not coming here.
