Hmm lets test this.

Lets take the best GM in the league (insert who you think that is) and pretend he has Ehlers and Laine on his Jets roster. Then lets ask ourselves, would this best GM in the league trade these two players for Connor and Roslo who play on another NHL team?

Imho if he does make this trade, Nuefeld for Babych becomes the second worst trade in Jets history.

*Yes I'm overstating and yes I like Connor and Roslo,  but Jeez Louise.

Connor for Ehlers I can see as a trade but I also think it's a wash.  You're swapping a red delicious for a gala.

Put Ehlers back on the top line and he's better. Put Perreault back on the top line, he's better. Put Larry Hopkins on the top line and he scores 20.

Roslo for Laine? At this point that makes Selanne for Tverdovsky  trade look good.

Hey we also ended up with Hall of Famers  Chad Kilger and Per-Anton Lundstrom in that deal.
