  1. You missed Jake on the untouchable list
  2. Is there a philosophical question, because as far as I can tell we don't have recievers
  3. Should have just let it bounce into the end zone /s
  4. Did someone say Mike Kelly
  5. I appreciate this new information that you have definitely never mentioned before
  6. To be fair 95% of posts on here are complaining so some of them have to come true in game
  7. Basic football question here from someone who has never played organized football. I see lots of bashing O'Shea for roster decisions. From a typical responsibility perspective, how much of the lineup decisions is head coach vs coordinator? Same question for in game decisions. I would assume the coordinator decides how to use the players he's given. Same way I would assume not cutting a guy like Thomas is as much on the GM as the head coach. So not trying to absolve anyone of blame, more trying to understand where the decision making typically lies in football between coach and coordinator
  8. Let's focus on the positive, I just got fantastic odds on the bomber comeback, bet has been made
  9. Jokes on you, the game summary I read that was negative about everything raved about Jake Thomas blocking the entire line by himself, already forwarded it to coach for his bulletin board
  10. I'll be happy if we win wire to wire but I put my money on BC being up after the first quarter and the bombers still running the game. Got 5.4 to 1 on that
  11. So basically the best and worst stadiums
  12. Is this a trick question, at least 5 people besides bluto have. I don't have a serious answer, the only places I haven't been to a game are Montreal Toronto and Sask.
  13. Not really bomber related, but last week I was in the US for work and something about football came up and someone was like Chris loves Canadian football. I said something about the bombers and he was like I won a grey cup in Winnipeg which was 2006 and the only grey cup I've gone to in person. He was playing for BC at the time.
  14. Unrelated to the bombers but tangentially related to football. Look up a recent picture of Ethan suplee. He was the fat lineman in remember the Titans. And generally always played the fat character in everything.
  15. When I went for the football game I did a hockey game as well
  16. Best game day experience I've had was surprisingly Ottawa. BC is my favorite stadium (Winnipeg second). Going to a game in Ottawa was actually a really fun experience though, I never thought I'd say that about Ottawa in any capacity
  17. You may be right but I'll never say anything nice about him. Even if 2007 wasn't his fault
  18. I started watching the bombers when Ritchie was coach. There's a long list of things I wanted to see but didn't A win in Regina in my 20s. It just didn't happen A grey cup. Got there after almost twenty years of watching. Online fans being happy with anything the team did. Winnipeg Heights, OB MBB, anywhere I've seen football talk it's as negative with 5:grey cup appearances in a row as when Mike Kelly or Jim Daley was coach. Online fans being happy with who is picked for coach and being right. Tim Burke says hi. The closest was being happy when we got O'Shea. Is he perfect, no. But the man changed the culture of a losing team not respected by the league. Then we started signing guys who said they came to Winnipeg because of O'Shea. The day will come when he's fired because that's just how it goes in sports, but even when that day comes show some damn appreciation for the turnaround of a team that was absolutely terrible top to bottom.b Swaggerville was fun. Roberts and sellers was fun. Khari to milt was great. But this right now is the only stretch in decades where the team is consistently in contention, when it's a surprise to lose rather than a surprise to win (unless you're booch, who is surprised 10-14 times per session). Guys like Danny Maccocia(sp?) and Chris Jones keep getting jobs. There's no excess of great coaches out there. I'd rather lose with O'Shea than win with a guy like Jones.
  19. Haven't been on much to see this and reply the ones that came to mind for me that I was referring to are when he was coming back early in the season and was #2 on the depth chart for a game. I don't remember what he said but I remember thinking I'd prefer if he had just kept quiet. Everybody knows he's the guy, and he's going to be the guy, but at that time no need to publicly question coaching decisions. Behind closed doors go for it, but no need to do it in the media.
  20. Some of his public comments last year indicated he's more of a me guy than a team guy. But that's probably just O'Shea's fault
  21. That's just budgeting though. I have a breakdown of where I expect my entire budget to go at work, but I still underspend in column B because I overspent in A all the time. If I hit the total budget nobody cares, but that doesn't mean I didn't start with an idea where the money was going. I'd say he's a terrible GM if he was black and white staying only within his positional budget. They job is field the best team for X dollars, not allocate x dollars perfectly. Not saying you're wrong, but I think it's crazy if he's that black and white about it.
  22. You sound like a Montreal Canadiens can who says every French player is going to sign in Montreal in free agency, and then they never do
  23. Once you're old and crotchety, you only focus on the negatives. Whether it be the D or three head coach or something else. So the D was bad because we ignore the secondary because we can't complain about it.
