  1. Lawler, hopefully takes that into consideration... the cost of living in BC, the team moral here, the positives of playing in Wpg,,, all, I can say, still ... Wow to the offer
  2. Probably bring in Harris at 350 - 400.... and have 2 QB's under 500.... but, have they done anything to their O-Line...
  3. Wow, that's some serious investigative journalism by Dunk... who's the source?
  4. Zack Williams has resigned with Calgary... Yes, would have been a very good option, here...
  5. I'm sure Moncrief will get a lot of love from Sask... I hope we get our own here....
  6. hope your right Booch, wearing out my "mouse"... hope something breaks here this afternoon with some news of a signing or two...
  7. Honestly, this is one guy, I don't care to hear about. It's all about Henoc and leave it at that!!!!
  8. The end result will be the same as it was for Charleston Hughes for Purifoy..... His days in the CFL are numbered!!!!
  9. I don't know how many saw or picked up on this, but at the conclusion of the Grey Cup game, cameras running... while many were celebrating all over the field, there was AH33 sitting alone on the "W" logo on the playing field, just deep in thought. I always wondered what he was thinking that very time or moment...
  10. Honestly, he's not ready to retire. Look at his last two games he played. Saskatchewan couldn't stop him and Hammy keyed on him during the Grey Cup game. He is to valuable to just let go/retire. Now, is there an opening in the coaching ranks on the offensive side? We lost a coach to Toronto..... My thoughts, we go with Oliveira & Harris with Borsa on the roster this year. Sadly, as he does deserves more playing time, Johnny Augustine is given the opportunity, elsewhere... Unless, the situation from last year, works for all, AH33 takes a shave, Borsa looks elsewhere and JA27 & BO20 have further increased playing time.
  11. So, when Zack arrived here, the fan base had concerns regarding him being able to play week in and week out (health wise and if he had reached his expiry date). Walters and company did their due diligences & I believe hoped for the best. The result has been a winning quarterback for the organization. The cost of getting Zack was a first rounder (Theren Churchill) plus a 3rd round (Dylan Giffen) for Zack and a 5th rounder (Marc Legghio). At the time in my opinion it was costly, seeing what Toronto gave up a unknown 4th rounder (Kian Schaffer-Baker) to get him from Saskatchewan, just a couple months prior (sweet deal for Saskatchewan). Now here we are today. Zack is back at the top of his game and should be paid accordingly (top paid quarterback in this league). A fair deal to both the player & team is warranted, as both parties have done what was required (no need to explain further, its a good working situation for both sides). So a silly Michael R. salary that was given in 2019 or a out of line contract such as the one in the province next to us, should never come to play. Many of the posters on here have debated salary for ZC8, which I agree with many. I have provided my thoughts on the subject as well over the course of the past few days. But as I sit and watch things unfold and read many of the posts on here, I think: Could this team be successful without ZC8? How would this team look & play without him? Can this team 3peat with another veteran CFL quarterback with the same core of players that we have? Would I as a fan sitting in the stands, know that we are going to win at the conclusion of a game i.e. Western Final versus Sask, 2021? A few years back, I never had that feeling, it was "how in hell are we going to find a way to lose the game". The two vet quarterback currently available are they able to win with this group and can they win the big one? Can they walk into this locker room and display leadership, team attitude first & fit within the locker room? Some negative things being said, is that talk or the real deal? At the conclusion, my hope is for a return here sooner, than later by Zack and his family, with a signed 2 year contract. But, if things go south, "due diligences" will be needed, Kyle & company.
  12. Banks, in my opinion won't be a "good fit" in Wpg. Should Kenny Lawler leave Wpg, our guys (Rasheed Bailey, Drew Wolitarsky, Darvin Adams) need to be re-signed, sooner that later. Free agents, if available, such as Jaelin Acklin, Jake Wieneke, Kamor Jorden & Bryan Burnham need to be looked at. Question to all, have we got someone within our current signed recruits capable of replacing Lawler?
  13. Where's Farhan's up to minute contractual update followed up with Naylor's insightful commentary.
  14. I could see this as an option, Harris when he's on, the passing yards are there and surrounded with the core Bomber team, that would be scary as well..... I'd exhaust Zack Collaras discussions, before we go Trevor Harris.....
  15. I believe that Zack Collaras is a reasonable individual, but perhaps there is an agent involved here. As has been stated by many on here, the benefits of signing here in Wpg, outweigh going elsewhere as far as football in the CFL. Now, if the Collaros family are making decisions based on family opportunities/health, location may be the driving factor in this decision, money maybe a secondary item. As far as numbers, here in Wpg, 475 to 495 thousand has been mentioned, which is reasonable for both parties (Zack and the Bombers), over 515 & plus is reaching. Now, I mention agent. There is a contract to the west of us, which in my opinion is not reasonable and out of line. Based on the performance of this player to the west, for starters, 20 games of starting CFL games, doesn't make elite top status pay standard. Now, the scribes and fan base will say different that follow the green team, but a contract similar to what was signed in Hamilton this past week, would be in line. Hopefully, this isn't the starting baseline that is being used by an agent in Zack's situation. As far as Zack, the numbers mentioned above for him would be reasonable and fair. The salary market for quarterbacks is adjusting and correcting the silly stuff that was given to Michael R., BLM & Trevor Harris, 2 or 3 years back. Zack Collaras has been in the league for years, shown he can lead team(s) and has attained the elite top status pay level. He should be paid accordingly, which is fair to the player and team.
  16. Nope, watch the football sail over your head into the end zone or stands and have the ball spotted on the 20 yard line after a kickoff. Or better yet, raise your hand and catch a punted ball... now that's excitement!!!!
  17. And there you have it.... life in the fast lane in Saskatchewan.....
  18. Hopefully a do-able contract can be done here with Collaros and the Bombers, but I have to ask "is this a media thing to get the fans stirred up"? The QB contracts throughout the league are being restructured or made to meet the teams salary limitations or capabilities. To the west of us, there is a contract that truly doesn't reflect compensation that is warranted in more ways than one.
  19. Do any of you know how Liam Dobson's season went for him this past year? Will he be available for us this upcoming season, would be my question. I really can't find much on him..... Geoff Gray will be the logically choice to slide into Desjarlais position (he's paid his dues). Chris Kolankowski has been with the team this past year & resigned, correct? Agree, O-line pic in either the first or second draft round make sense, but think we need to think of a defensive tackle as a pic for down the road as an early pic as well. Just my two cents....
  20. Nope, just creative accounting and massaging the numbers for the "FIT"
  21. Couture, B.A,. Bailey, Darby, Woli & Collaros this week.... next week early Bryant, then Rose, Oliveira, Biggie, Briggs, Gray & Benson
  22. Remember, Glen Young started the year in Toronto as their DC and knew the Bomber team/players very well as far as strengths/weakness. In my opinion, that played a role in the Toronto games. Now, the 2021 Bomber run defense for the whole year, wasn't quite that of the 2019 run defense in my opinion. Do agree, that once Stove came back, there was a improvement and showed as well.
  23. Yes true, but hosting the Grey Cup Events also requires following past practice and exceeding the CAP
