Free Agency Day - Bombers Moves
That's the most baffling aspect, kept Kola who plays at the edge of his abilities and lost Gray who has unlimited physical abilities plus versatility.

Free Agency Day - Bombers Moves
O-line depth has gone from deep to shallow, I imagine Tui takes over from Gray and Dobson remains the 6th man. More than one critical injury and they're down to using a CFL rookie to protect Zach. I can see Walters addressing this situation later in FA with a cheap if not great pickup like he did with Jeff Keeping, MB. boy Landon Rice is available and is at the tail end of his career.

Nope, Rhymes asked for his release, it's not a coincidence he landed back it Ottawa where he spends the off-season, owns a house and has a fiance that works for the Feds.- Free Agency Day - Non-Bombers CFL News
BC has done the best job of protecting their existing roster so far, other than Rhymes who was going home to Ottawa and Betts to the NFL, the only other player they lost was Cooper.- Free Agency Day - Non-Bombers CFL News
All things considered, having a flush toilet "is a pretty good deal for the Riders".- Free Agency Day - Bombers Moves
A meeting with Dickie and grandpa Huff, a quick tour of the facilities and a retreat out the door, concluded with a "**** no" before he got back to his car.- Free Agency Day - Non-Bombers CFL News
Thought Exume could have done more here if given the chance, terrific athlete and hard hitter could be a good candidate for Safety.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
True, I would say for at least half the players coming out of US Colleges, a degree in football is the only thing they graduated with, and they haven't prepared well for any other reality.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
I suspect this is the type of player O'Shea and Walters are always looking for, the guys that have a passion for football and love the game, those are the players that eventually step up and become leaders.- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
Haba was ok, he's quick but doesn't have the size to overpower an OT which might be a problem trying to maintain the edge when containing the QB. He played in 8 games last season with 12 DT's and 4 sacks and missed a few games due to injury, so he has a decent base of experience to build upon.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
How the mighty have fallen, Stamps scrounging through garbage bins, trying to patch a roster together.- Which Vets do we cut next season
Not a lot of job openings for Natl. receivers unless they accept a backup role, Nate Behar is probably ahead of BOLO on the waiting list.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
I believe the NFL window for Holm and other CFL players under contract closed Feb. 3, so we can assume he'll be back for the start of TC along with Ford. Without a contract Betts can do whatever he wants, whenever he wants.- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
I remember Ivy from the pre-seaon games, he looked both slow and clumsy, but perhaps he didn't know what he was supposed to be doing.- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
That's pretty hard, perhaps they should consider hiring a Director of Player Relations that can handle his job, instead of fumbling the ball whenever the going gets rough.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
Bighill was a special case, he was still engaged in finding work in the NFL when he made the decision to come back to the CFL permanently. I think everyone was shocked when the Bombers signed him, especially Sam Hurl. Sorry, I was thinking of Bear Woods, he was woody too.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
Clements is 3 years younger, probably less expensive, and more versatile, pass.- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
It would be pretty sad to lose Bailey and other B and C grade players like Clements and Gauthier, as it wouldn't cost much to retain them and their contributions are unheralded but significant.- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
Wrong Danny, I think you meant Petermann.- 2023/2024 Blue Bombers Off-Season Thread (BRADY’S BACK! DALTON’S BACK!)
Demski played okay, but it was clear he didn't have the overall speed he exhibited earlier in the season when Zach was hitting him on those homerun throws.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
Might as well accept it, it's been the reality of the situation for the past 5 seasons, Jeffcoat has played 12-14 games in every season since arrival, other than his first when he played in 16 games. When on the field he gives 100% effort and has been a game-changer, making the entire line much more effective, including Willie. In all that time off, nobody has stepped up in his absence and demonstrated they are the rush-end that could replace his contribution. I think the crux of this situation is that Walters has probably offered Jeffcoat a reduction commensurate with his playing time, and he's balked at accepting it. For people who think Walters will be able to afford a proven stud, good luck, with a limited budget the replacement will have to come from within.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
I don't see it, DE's in waiting are probably coming off the PR on ELC's earning half what Jeffcoat makes. 6-gaming him deducts his salary from the cap, not that difficult to plan for if it's intentional and not accidental.- 2023/2024 CFL (Non Bombers) Off Season News
Agree, it sure looks like he was game managed last season for what is likely a chronic hip injury. If they can sign Jeffcoat for one more season and he spends 6 meaningless games mid-late season on the IR, it saves valuable cap money and it's the perfect opportunity to find his replacement and get him up to speed, be it Haba or someone else. - Free Agency Day - Non-Bombers CFL News
