All this coming from guys who have yet to become fathers.   Sure the timing sucks but these things don't always happen when you want them to.  But if you've gone thru the whole birthing process you'd know it's not like in the old days when women would squat in the field and then go back to work.   
 
Maybe she had a caesarian section which makes it difficult for the mom to be the primary caregiver until she's had a chance to recover.  
 
So get off your high horses and let him deal with this very personal matter in the way he needs to. 

They weren't "cheering for the opposing QB." They were cheering for a really good, classy guy who loves WPG who was just traded from our gong show of a team 2 weeks ago.
 
Its not like they were giving fricken Darian Durant a standing o. 

The thing is people (especially the media) like to mock or critisize these small moves.  But I don't see it that way.  It's about getting better one player at a time.  Its going to be painstaking and lengthy.
 
Kelly is a little better then Anderson.  Peach is a little better then Harris.  So on and so on.  And one day you are a .500 team and then you find better players again bit by bit and one day you are 12-6.  I hope.  So yeah these moves are meh and most of these players have less then stellar resumes.  But they can still be an improvement over the guys who got you to 1-7.

Crowton showed a lot of class. He could have dumped on a lot of people but didn't. I wish the man well wherever he goes.
