  1. I dunno...he has the skill if he's healthy...never played more than 13 games in a year ( 11, 13, 12, 13) but yardage total were ( 885, 743, 747, 738) and 22 TD's in 49 games played...whats not to like if he stays healthy??...big if but just sayin...guy can ball
  2. agreed...if he can stay healthy...totally forgot he was available
  3. Marcus Howell..Glen Young as well...quite the former Bomber flair to it
  4. That was Micha Johnson and Daniels
  5. WELL he did have 88 tackles in 15 games last yr..with 4 sacks and a FF...hardly a speed bump...he still has game..If Boozy Hughes can get a 200k extension at 36 coming off elboy/arm surgery for this yr..Soli will get 180-190 easy
  6. funny too with Derek Taylor pulling his best Rod Penison...saying he's not surprised Sask hasn't contacted Willie because they have to be very comfortable with Hghes and Leonard...yeah a 36 year old end who coming off surgery and at around 200k a year and Leonard...a 28 yr old guy who been on 3 teams in 5 years and has had 25 sacks at a whopping 5 a year clip...yup....I'd be super stoked too
  7. prob cause the B.S low ball they pulled on him last year...more than likely know he'd prob not be interested Plus they have huge bucks they still need to allocate for receivers..O-linemen..Linebacker
  8. pretty certain that if some teams makes a crazy 280-300k offer that Willie will talk with Walters...like last time to get something they both think is fair, and gives him the best chance to win, and where he feels most comfortable....the exact same conditions he had last year...everyone and their dog knows the comfort level is apparent...we won...and who doesn't wanna repeat...especially with majority of his team back, and Biggie money, or a shade above is easily doable...I think we are in the drivers seat on this one to be honest If T.O comes at him in 280..290....i doubt it gets to 300 for a defensive guy, then I am confident he would sign here at 265K as that is more than fair..would make him the highest paid defensive guy, and also has a good chance to grab another 20-30k in playoff cash...plus he will be in a football crazy environment where he will be a celebrity as opposed to T.O where he would toil in anonymity, or if recognized more than likely asked what Raptor he is....lol
  9. it's a 4-some..Gainey..Edam..Purifoy and Marshall...4 guys who act like ass-bags...constantly...great leadership group there...yikes
  10. Edam and Gainey are a close rival to that....so well on their way to that
  11. Then it's a done deal hahahaha..Wifey knows best
  12. hahaha...yup re-sign for prob decent coin to take away from other free agents an average and declining DB...with zero to no leadership skills/traits you would want young guys to learn from...as shown in Banjo Bowl as a classic example
  13. McCallister is pretty much a clone of Willie...and 3 years younger and came out of college with more potential...fared well in pre-season and in the game he played straight off the couch..
  14. what sounds you hearing?..Farhan noise?
  15. I bet Willie settles in on about 265k...and that is a number I think we would be fine with....I bet to go to a sketchy team...Hello T.O and MTL he would ask for that 280-290 BC cant afford him...CGY would never pay that...Sask I doubt can make that work consider they still have to pay for an O-line still..Evan's want 200k...and they have holes all over their secondary and linebacking crew as well as D-line..Edm doesn't need him really based on roster make-up...nor need that salary....so I think it's gonna be between us and T.O/MTL..Dark horse being the Hammer...but if they grab him we sign Davis then...or target him anyway and we be no worse for wear
  16. NO WAY we start 3 Canadian receivers
  17. Maybe Petey has let it be known he wants to be out East and we gonna do him a solid...move him out there for a pick...I wouldn't be shocked of Oshea and Walters to do that for a guy, ans Woli and Demski are most likely the 2 National receivers for the next few years
  18. he was brutal as a safety...he was a Chris Jones experiment trying to make a marginal receiver into a DB...cause his physique had him all turned on
  19. odd signing in Guidino....unless we have a trade of some sort in the works for draft position or something and are going to move Peterman
  20. Yeah prob a pipe dream coming here...I actually hope we target a capable guy to play safety, and it be cheaper, and we bring back Nevis, and use the money it would take for Laing to be used to help lock down Willie...that would prob be at expense of Roh but I truly think McCallister is a star in waiting, and if anything offers more upside than Roh. If we don't pick up a National DB for possible safety in free agency, I am thinking they are going to give Hallett and Exume every chance to grab that spot to be honest...if we have that solid upfront push on our DLINE like last year we can afford to groom a National safety not named Hecht...if the guy has speed and cover abilities (which both have) or at least the ability to offer over the top help...we should be fine...and also saves a whack of SMS $$ should someone come free after NFL camps close out
  21. Cause Laing is better than Thomas and Thomas is perfect guy to spell him off...and Griffiths is still an unknown If we move on from Nevis and Thomas and Gruffiths are our tackle combo exclusively..we just become substantially weaker on defence
  22. You have to understand too, a lot of those short passes were basically schemed run plays, to have the runner attack the defense from different spots, if you go back and look at film you will see they were not plays that were last resort/panic/nobody open/lack of confidence in the QB things...routes and blocks were set-up treating it as a running play...many a time the receivers were setting up blocks or already engaged prior to Harris having the ball in his hands...that was a planned thing
  23. we also don't know what parts of the "LAPO" playbook were collaborated parts of Buck's vision/ideas as well...
  24. when you look at it Sask seems to be a team that could be a player in one of the available guys with experience (and former hype) as all they have is Harker and Bennett as depth, and even though the fans there think Harker is a stud in waiting, if he has to take over they are screwed...also, Fajardo still has to prove last seasons success, albeit it average success is actually him...or was an anomaly/one off, and also if he can stay healthy too The issue there tho is they won't have a lot to offer a legit number 2 as they have a whack of work to do as it is to fill there roster with re-upping guys and or replacing talent they have lost, or may still lose yet
  25. Key word tho is last year, who's to say that Buck will base his offence around that, especially with Zack showing he can make the long throws, and the fact that McGuire can stretch a field with the best of them...
