  1. what about if it was happening in the rumpus room? lol
  2. why do u....the healing process for the most part isnt one u can get ahead of....and no...its not conjecture...your point and opinion is yours and your alone....u have no clue what u are talking about...or inner workings of teams and pro sport injuries...but I do...and not to toot my own horn but toot toot toot....and yeah I called u a name...and in the context it suited u just appropriately....and as for intellectual levels I am more than confident mine is at a much higher level in this respect...and like u said....an opinion can be swayed with facts...but your opinion has none...zip...nadda whether u think it does or not....u like to twist...and or cherry pick aspects of peoples comments or opinions on here continually which is totally fine....its a public forum...so have at er, and u contradict yourself always...like in that post I am quoting...u said "nobody said rourke isn't ahead of schedule" and then you also said its been decided since post 1 that he is ahead of schedule...so which is it????.....and that decision was basically yours...nobody else here said it....or truly believes it regardless what comes out of Farhans yap hole or the Lions themselves...
  3. I almost think a lot of that brace stuff was a crutch and built in excuse for them....or he creay-ted a lot of it to mask his deficiencies If u noticed some games when going was tough...he was over selling it...the limp came out...but when it was going good...well for Faj he raced around like no issues at all....the one game he was playing it up...threw a pic and then all of a sudden took after to try and prevent the pic 6 with no issues at all and one game...not sure which one but he was getting just owned and smothered...then out of nowhere he was out there...no brace...trying to be his 2019 self...I even commented on it in the game day thread that he removed the brace...looked no worse for wear...but next game it was back.....total loser
  4. but Fajardo had a brace...and guys knew it...there is that too hahaha
  5. YUP...Good and unproven as of yet....it wasnt sustainable and as season progressed it showed...he ripped some bad teams a new arsehole for sure...but not the league...and for all the rippin he/they did...were never a 1st place team....
  6. seeing as it a meaningless game...I'd send the house play after play while he in there....just for funnsies and to see what happens...I bet he is yanked as quick as he was trotted out....if Campbell had and common sense and brains....but on that note...I dont think he has a lot as he has done a lot of dumbassed things as a HC
  7. he had an 11 game season where he had early games where he feasted on garbage...got some unworldly luck receiver work...legit and penalty missed aided...and had some games where he was average at best....looked confused and made errors....so yeah the Canadian part of it was a lot of the hype...the media wanted a story, and there is a lot of as of yet inconclusive hype and rah rah about him...he hasnt proven anything yet....he may....he may not....but 11 games does not a HOF player make....u do recall guys like James Franklin...Jonathan Jennings...Fajardo....Arbuckle...heck even Pipkin and Printers....looked like world beaters out of the gate...the next big star...cant miss....then teams got tape...things plateued...and where they now....even in the limited time this yr...once teams seen what he was doing and got success from...then took that away...well he was all of a sudden just a regular QB...so keep the hype train rolling media and fans....it aint affecting the Bombers...Or the Stamps in the least...and to be honest I bet they could care less who is the QB as they know what to do, and how to go about the game yeah...tonight is gonna be pretty staright forward vanilla, and am 100 percent certain in WF u are gonna see some new things that sumbfound the opposition...we did it last yr too....interesting for sure
  8. thats the thing...which is big...we have 2 yrs now under our belt with knowing what to expect...how to win, and not be flustered...with basically 3/4's of our roster...will take an epic bed crapping in my opinion to blow it....and we did that in last yrs WF and still won....don't see it happening in back to back WF's at home
  9. I just hope we don't have to put up with Suitor slobbering all over Rourke.....and man what If it was Suitor and Farhan...hahaha...I'd prob drive a knife through my ears
  10. this could also be a test too...to see if he can actually play in the WSF....and if he is not 100% he prob is one and done....but who knows...they wont get past CGY anyway
  11. tossing a ball under no diress, or having to run in earnest or have the weight of another human yanking u down is a different scenario...wish him well, and we pound him within the rules but if he gets hurt I will have no pity or sympathy....nope....none
  12. well if u look at the timelines...dates....and when hardware comes out ....which is the healing period....he is well under it...and obviously not totally healed....but is "pain free" but deosnt mean healed...pain free with tossing and skeleton work....big difference....and u can be ahead of the schedule....sure..happens with injuries...but not with structural fixation procedures using hardware...of which needs to be surgically removed to complete the healing, and that hasnt been done The second study the one with the NFL players...where it states the timelines...and averages...also the propencity for being back to normal after the healing...which is very rare was pointed out to me from a staff member of the Arizona Cardinals strength and conditioning and rehab team...whom I do camps with and is a guideline all teams basically follow. I ran by him this lil scenario and whats happening...and the time lines and he said thats crazy, and is a recipe for disaster, and can't even believe the team orthopedic physician is even halfway ok with that. I will stick to my opinion, and from the mouths of other who know WTF they talkin about on an NFL team as opposed to google and assumptions...he may not get hurt...he may get re-hurt ans never be the same...who knows, but fact of the matter it's a desperate rush job and frankly quite stupid... based on?...u are so full of crap...did you not read the second study...with NFL PLAYERS..and their return to play....obviously not, and also read my other post on actually asking a NFL team rehab and strength person about it....not just a google search and or assumption to continue an argument....good grief
  13. Not sure if u being a smart arse and or are legit...or what your deal...But I know the surgery he had, it was also in media as well sometime back if u look, and it's the one requiring 2 surgeries when all said and done....and also know the timetable well as know of guys who went through it...there was also a Bomber years back who sustained it....never played again either
  14. Yeah lots of options to move guys around if need be That's the beauty of Darby's versatility..can play sam...safety...hb...corner
  15. Najee Harris had a.minor strain..came back fast yup..and is a shell of what he was Rourke had surgery..with hardware to correct bone and tendon...one worst case scenario for Linsfranc.. so no way in hell he is ahead of schedule as it's not possible for that particular healing process...sure maybe plus minus a week or so...not months...and how I know what type...I asked someone I know in lions organization who told me extent...so him coming back before hardware out..and minimal heal time regardless how he "feels" in a non game situation is pretty dumb
  16. is that facts enough that BC medical team is obviously skirting the healing issue? whoever says no is frankly an idiot and just arguing otherwise for the sake of arguing and or just hearing themselves speak
  17. a little more to chew on as well as to why rushing it is just plain dumb and could severely hinder his future production League participation and game performance were collected 1 season prior to injury and up to 3 seasons after injury. Statistical analysis was performed, with P≤.05 being significant. A total of 47 athletes (NFL=35, rugby=12) with Lisfranc injuries were identified, having 23 ligamentous injuries and 24 fractures. Thirty-five (75%) were treated operatively. Among NFL players, 29 (83%) returned to play, taking 10.0±2.9 months to do so. Overall, NFL players started fewer games 2 and 3 seasons following surgery (P=.002 and .035, respectively) and showed a significant decline in performance 1 season after return compared with preinjury levels (21%; P=.05). Offensive players had a significantly greater decline in statistical performance compared with defensive counterparts (P=.02). Although professional NFL athletes return to play at a high rate (83%) following Lisfranc injury, their league participation and performance is significantly decreased on return. Ligamentous and bony injuries have similar prognoses; however, offensive players show greater declines in performance compared with defensive players. To best guide therapy, players, coaches, and team physicians should be aware of the impact of Lisfranc injuries on career performance and longevity. [Orthopedics. 2018; 41(4):e479-e482.].
  18. to put into context that injury, and timeframe....17 professional soccer and rugby players were studied in recovery the time from injury to fixation ranged from 8 to 31 days, and hardware was removed at 16 weeks postoperatively. One athlete retired after a ligamentous injury; the remaining 16 players returned to training and full competition. Excluding the retired player, the mean time to return to training was 20.1 weeks (range, 18-24 weeks) and to full competition was 25.3 weeks (range, 21-31 weeks). There was a significant difference between the mean time to return to competition for rugby (27.8 weeks) and soccer players (24.1 weeks; P = .02) and for ligamentous (22.5 weeks) compared with bony injuries (26.9 weeks; P = .003). Three patients suffered deep peroneal nerve sensation loss, from which 1 patient did not fully recover. Conclusion: Return to competitive elite-level soccer and rugby is possible after surgically treated Lisfranc injuries. Return to training can take up to 24 weeks and return to playing up to 31 weeks, with bony injuries taking longer. Now do the math...Rourke had his surgery the week of Aug the 21st....thats what...10 weeks at most from initial surgery, and not including the hardware removal at 16 weeks post surgery....so how is he totally healed and at no risk for serious re-injure....do tell....so obviously the BC doctors are NOT adhering to the proper recovery time...let alone even taken out the hardware as it's not medically proven to be removeable until 16 weeks...which is around the 3rd..4th week of Nov at earliest....and before anyone even tries to dispute and say...yeah thats one study....that is different...blah blah blah....that is the timeline for this healing process in all studies, and occurrences so based on that either 1) Rourke is not human 2)B.C has a secret sports medicine program for faster healing or 3) they rolling the dice and being less than ethical 4) Rourke is just a dumb tool and signed a waiver to play...and likely ruining any NFL shot in the spring I think I will go with options 3 and 4...
  19. well u know....u can lead a horse to water eh?...... there is an option...or not.....lol
  20. I just don't get how some...well one think that an injury requiring surgery, and has a known recovery time of longer than what Rourke has had done, and has likely not even had the second surgery done yet, to actually complete the process, so likelihood of serious re-injure is anywhere close to the same thing as a different player who had a strain/sprain lingering soft tissue injury which basically just required rest, and no intrusive treatment for it...regardless of age/position....explain that one to me...how is that similar in any way? And from experience, and circumstance there are many times a "team doctor" will give a player the go ahead if they choose....but always with a caveat (which we will never be privy to btw) doesn't make it right...or doesn't mean it's wise...but it happens...I do know that the staff here won't even if the player says he good, but I do know BC staff has...Lucky asked, and was allowed to re-enter a game with a broken hand, why Campbell allowed that, and didnt say sorry dude but no certainly raises an eyebrow or two. I hope that if BC gets here he does play...so there no "ya buts" cause there surely will be if/when we beat them, and am not concerned who is at qb as we mainly handled them just fine with a lesser lineup than what we will field come WF...
  21. yeah...this team isnt built and or have the mindset of the other teams that cruised through playoffs to only lay an egg...its the fans around here who are the ones who have that mentality...and it's just excited, over zealous fans...which is expected...not the team...no worries
  22. this is exactly it...right there...case closed. They can not pick it up...and sign him to whatever.....time to move on now...geeez
  23. if they were to do a new extension and extend him...that option yr stuff is out the window and moot
  24. hodge is not too bad....not like some of the others...but was basically just a fan....who really had no inside knowledge...or insider connections when he started...he has got better, and is not overly biased
