  1. basically what it boils down to is whatever the number of declared Canadian starters are on each side of the ball needs to be maintained...So if you had a Canadian QB as a starter, and say 5 others on offence, and you put in American back-up, then one of your other american starters on offence needs to come out for a Canadian...can be any body just as long as it is somebody, can also be different guys as well, and not just the same guy. Now if you have utilized the Nationalized American rule...which is dumb not to, then it's a moot point for 29 snaps as well
  2. Eli signed for 3 yrs...I believe Dobson's option yr is due...so will be a 10% increase from his entry, unless we extend him for more yup...he makes the tough gritty catches too, and also is kind of a emotional leader for the team...he has a lot of value and not a kind of player u just toss away if its a matter of 5 to 10k
  3. well...we did alot 120k for JA.....so there is that there, and if we don't bring him back, but bring back Mcrae who will be cheap....or a rookie instead of Mcrae...we have it covered....We don't really need a canadian backup to BO as we could shift the ratio...so that saving alone would cover Schoen basically
  4. interesting point to note...all the yip yapping about BC and the "donut boys"....but Wpg has given up fewer offensive points than BC's defence, as well as fewest offensive TD's....funny how the buffoons on TSN fail to acknowledge that...also fewest opponents passing yards against....(as they hype BC secondary)......fewest first downs given up...best opponents completion percentage against...best opp pass efficiency....least amount of passing td's given up...we actually still in single digits (only team under 10)...lowest avg pass distance...1 off lead league in sacks... I guess we are flying under the radar??...lol
  5. BA hard money 101k....and Augustine will max out at 99k...could have made as much as 120k...but wont hit rest of his incentives....Gray no clue but I sure between 110-120k
  6. nor have I....but maybe he is a sign for less than market value guy too...which wouldn't shock me
  7. yeah that one I doubt...But Haba been out since week 4....Hansen on second stint, so I could see him come off early as he on a shittyassed global del and a paperboy makes as much as him...so whoopity do there.... Clements will have served his 6th game after the LDC and from seeing him the last few weeks...he more than ready to step back in if need be
  8. after this weekends game they will have sat out the 6....so they could be back...thats why u let them practices' after the 5th game to get them game ready
  9. where you getting those Neufeld numbers?...BO will max out at 114k...not a penny more
  10. Augustine will make 99k this yr..thats maxed out...he wont hit his other incentives which could have banked him 120K...so basically next yr him off the books is a alloted 120k...tho he only will have pulled in 99k....u have to look at the max price in what we have as the structure.. BO max is 114k...Hard money was 100k...so I assume from what he doing he will make his max...I sure the extra 6k was for another 1000 yard season/or leading league...so he gonna hit both unless he goes down for rest of yr Our highest paid DB is BA and thats hard money of 101k... all in all...we will be able to retain who we want to, and possibly grab a new vet who we covet
  11. yup....Dobson will now be into the 110k -115k range next yr...maybe...I say that as we have Hardrick as the 20th highest paid lineman at 140k (166k max)....and Bryant is at 190k.(thats max...technically tied with a whack of others....none of our other olineman are in top 20, so good guess is that Neuf is prob around 130K and Gray around the same or just under....so small bumps to even Gray and Neuf would still allow us to easily sign Dobson...and we know both Bryant and Hardrick will wait and sign fair deals when we have others locked in...as thts what they do....If we go out with a cup win tho this yr I could see Bryant maybe calling it a career, but thats not a 100% thing your Neuf numbers are way wrong
  12. Augustine is around BO numbers which is bizzare....and likely 1/3 of that will go to BO next yr...the rest elsewhere And yes Bailey and Darby are bargains bigtime....new rookie deals are 71k minimum going into next yr as well
  13. as I thought.....Haba....Hansen...Clements all fully dressed and participating in practice today.....Grant running sprint drills....I bet all 4 could be in the BB lineup...but 3 likely Haba...Hansen..Grant in,,,Mcrae..Jackson...Mauro out.....now wouldn't that be a boost all around
  14. yup Neither of them are actually....they not on rookie/entry deals but we have them at a wicked savings.....That being said I can see Darby gone tho as Parker..Swarmay and if Ford is bck have his role more than covered be the perfect compliment to BA if he was to get knicked
  15. Rourke also went U.S prep school for his senior yr prior to University ball...and from experience that 1 yr alone in prep school environment would have gotten him more training and and experience, as well as quality teaching than all his football experience in Canada combined...Then 4 yrs of U.S training and coaching in College, which makes the Canadian equivalent look like a joke....so yeah he played some minor football here and a few yrs of highschool ball, but it in no way shaped him and prepared him for the pro's like the route Ford has taken
  16. Yeah I think this yr we get the best olineman available with our first pick...It's time to groom the next Eli/Dobson.....and keep that cupboard full with top talent...Next pick best be a high upside defensive guy on the line, as the 2 guys we drafted last yr...ain't gonna be anything, and Bennett won't really be either...unless he makes some dramatic turn around this yr, but he will be turning 28 next yr during the season...so not like he is a young development project I do like Cole tho, and can see a role for him...christ see one now, and he has been getting more and more reps on defence when the game still matters, so obviously the team see's it too. I still think he would make a killer safety or SAM personally, same with Ford, and this was his one time shot for the NFL...guys like him are dime a dozen in the NFL talent pool coming out of school every yr, and with U.S football experience, I was shocked he got a deal, but it was based mainly on his testing numbers....so hopefully we lock him up after his rookie deal...He also is a real good returner, so would be extra valuable on the game day roster
  17. I can see Augustine being moved on from....what we basically use him for is ST's and as a backup...just in case.....and we have a good track record of drafting ST demons, so he's likely gone, and maybe next yr we actually keep a true legit RB that is a rookie import, whom can be the backup returner, and have use in game on offence if we choose... i can see us locking up a impact vet for defence next yr on a 2 yr deal for the grey cup at home run
  18. yeah forgot about those 2....Both could be replaced next yr eh....I don't see any issues regardless for us keeping who we want...Bigger question is there someone we have as a potential target, that may have a ripple effect on someone no longer needed here.
  19. yeah he will need a bump....and really if Ford s back....He will easily supplant what Kramdi gives us...which is average play at best...plus seems to be hurt alot
  20. yeah you have to replace them...but you will be replacing them with entry level deals, or just a tad over league minimum as opposed to 3...and 4th contract guys...so the cumulative number adds up...Best bet for next yr vet deals likely to be off the books will be Darby, Lawrence, Thomas, Augustine, Briggs, Hallett, Kramdi, Kolo and maaaaybe Neuf as we need to integrate both Eli and Dobson into the starting lineup or risk losing Dobson, as Eli is locked up into 2025. Not sure what plan is for Cole and Clement moving forward, but likely one will see the road, and we replace with a rookie...I could also see Bennett not making the cut next yr, especially if we are able to land one of, or both of Bennet and Kongbo from the Hammer. Bailey I doubt we move away from as he is pretty key to the offence as a whole and he is dirt cheap...so bumping him up for next yr wont kill us, and he has done nothing to play himself off the team...Unless they make the decision to actually give Agudosi a real chance and see if he can fill the Bailey role, as his rep in the NFL journey was the same type of tenacious player, especially on ST's...But u can bet next yr that the Lawler/Schoen/Demski/woli quartet will be back
  21. Yup...was a bad game all around...defense balled out tho...loss not on them Booch Posted November 20, 2022 Loss isnt on Leggz...was on offence and poor game.plan...plain and simple u can ball out and still be undermanned you know...not their fault they had a less than adequate roster funny
  22. yup....there no reason we cant move on from Kramdi...Kolo...Briggs..Thomas..Cadwallder...Hallett contracts that are not league minimums and replace them with cheaper and the same if not better talent, and use that surplus for a Schoen and whomever neds a bump....Looking at roster he is the only one requiring a significant raise
  23. Expect to see Haba ... Clements and Grant practicing this week...if they get on roster...that's the question....all 3 should tho if healthy and ready to rock
  24. parents has sex in Canada one time...may have been his inception??..was basically not much more than that...I think his mom had some canadian relatives tho was the reason... oh that Bruno ...he'll get cha everytime!!
  25. Gord Miller was lingering around there for some reason...Bud is still out front last I heard a Chad hang down
