Prukop has been brought in to do one thing...run the short yardage unit like he did last yr...plain and simple....and I guess the team feels he can do it better right now and throughout the yr than anyone else they have....so good on us for seeing an area we can upgrade and pulling the trigger...He's not here to challenge for QB 1 or QB2...nor was Piggy right now....so we are going with the proven commodity and the option the team is more comfortable with....and thats that...

the way we work the roster...we prob go with extra canadian starter and let a weak area hemmorage some more...well just cause thats what Osh seems to like to do for some odd reason

2 qb's on filed at same time....short yardage...and extended plays after the sneak.....packages in red zone....just like before...be ample playtime, and like most on this squad have said...the cuture isnt about stats and playing time...its about team...team success and winning this right here....and more a 50/50 split or even heavily tilty Strevs way...2025 is a long time from today as well...lots could change

Pretty sure that neither of the 3 guys we have/had were the future after ZC is finished...My bet is we see a ZC/Strev combo for 2025 with some rookie 3rd stringer who will never see the field and just is filling out the roster on a cheap contract...so this move here is for the now...nothing more...nothing less

more often than not...unless a team is truly inferior...Hello Elks....a loss that is a quality beat down is a result of one team shooting the lights out and being what seems outmatched from a bad week of prep and more or less pissing the bed...99% of the time...sure there ae other factors that may come into play...injuries...cockiness....etc....but more often than not...it's that reason being argued about...Lions came to play...we shat the bed....from guys on the filed...coaches game plan and team roster if this occurs now for game..after game....then yup...it's a problem and we have major holes/issues/talent questions.....I don't see that...and am not concerned....

smart move and hopefully Piggy stays in the mix longterm.....Cause if Brown got hurt in a short yardage play, and then say ZC goes down after that....Do you really feel good about our success with Piggy as the starter for an exyended period??....I would hope not...he's totally not ready for that

yeah unscripted is just a theory some cling to...so who knows, but also feel it likely wasn't as we did that several times that yr with success......ZC forging thru trying to play when in all honesty he shouldnt have been on the field was the demise there...and even then we still could have won if we had an elite PK I am ok with this...he can slide right in on the weekend...and it saves Brown from getting hurt on a sneak play....cause say he did prior to this signing...Sure Piggy is exciting and has some upside...but did you want him as the starter if ZC went down for an extended time if Brown got hurt running short yardage???...I certainly didnt.....so now lets focus on the Dline and move forward

yup wash the game away...one of 18 and we weren't going 18-0...nobody will...15-3 again is a tough task...for anyone let alone back to back.....and likely wasn't gonna happen. You have to remember teams when they come play us...are pulling out all the stops, and likely adding wrinkles to things we havn't seen before, and outside their norm to try and knock us down a peg....and usually in the previous games we looked so bad, the follow up match was the polar opposite. Some players even said as much when we beat the Riders....in that they did some things they had never seen and was not what they expected, yet we won that one....likely as SASK is not a great/good team....I'm not overly concerned about a game I consider a one off....and almost feel a bit sorry for MTL as they may get the brunt of the team being a bit pissed....That being said....I still wanna see a better use of players and to better utilize the roster/PR and how we manage it for games

4 or 5 of those missing bodies surely will help....that cant be denied....but if they can't stay on the roster tho...then we may have to make some maneuvers

Most times in my experience a good beat down is usually a combo of one team dropping an egg and the other firing on all cylinders for most part....and we have been on the other side of that on our beat downs of teams The funny part of the BC game even tho we played like dogcrap...which we all agree...late in that game we were actually still in it...and could have won it ...so for all the warts ... uncharacteristic penalties...poor play/effort...it could have been way worse and more embarrassing...a point to consider when acting like we are headed to the basement...one point that is still glaring tho and an issue is our roster makeup and management...

No we good with our global punter and olineman....4th american tackle and a useless Szott and Schmeckle...no need here Oh forgot to mention our DI'd american fullback....why would we sign National depth to better utilize the DI spot, and /or take advantage of the new Nationlized rule...It's not the Oshea way...

B.C is basically same team minus Rourke...and Oft injured Burnham....and the defense was basically same obne we owned all last yr...even with Brown playing in his start as he put up 30 if I remember correctly. They were the better team yup last week...they came to play and fed it to us.....were we complacent....figured we had to just show up....or did we just have an off game?.....In my opinion and based on a whack of things I think it ws a case of we were right out-schemed and coached that game....were somewhat not taking them too highly, and yup...got a good fat serving of humble pie....was it a one off?...Most likely...are we the better team....i say yeah until B.C finishes higher than us, and knocks us out at end of the yr I tend to lean toward us...we shall see how season pans out....But we drop a deuce every year....hopefully that was the deuce

man...we played thursday...friday to sun is moe than enough time off when you drop a turd like we did, and need to do some serious roster evaluations....

I'd be scouring their PR for any moves or shuffling they did....typical of a Jones run team...they may park someone there who is actually worthwhile grabbing, and who would say no to being plucked from there??...
