this...also is true.....but in regards to an overpay...it's not....do we need to pay that much for our top 3 guys...probably not, and again ratio wise....one of any of our canadian starters isnt neccessarily needed to make the ratio...As it stands with BO...Demski...now Kramdi..we are paying a premium for 2 Canadian spots that technically we don't have to, and that couple hundred grand in savibgs paying an entry level Import or a guy who is coming into his second deal, but isn't in elite status yet who would give you better production at SAM and likely equal at worst value in a slot reciever or RB is huge yeah I wasnt a fan either and when numbers were being thrown around in media I wanted to walk away....I get the reasoning for making it happen...but also with solid scouting, or landing a diff free agent RB we would have been alright too....

yeah...Brady makes 65k more than the next highest paid runningback.....To me thats an overpay regardless of Birth Certificate and any awards....Demski and his hard money has him behind 5 other guys...and in close proximity to 4 others...which seems right in line of what someone else would have paid....Some probably more as I am sure he took a bit of a hometown discount

Thomas could have filled multiple roles..Wil...SAM....Even safety...just had a nose for the ball and had that sideline to sideline pursuit that a young Wilson...I don't recall him even really messing up Petrishen to me was meh...Moses was raw...and rusty but had all the tools, and made plays...He just needed to learn the Canadian nuances...why he wasn't kept...even for just aprt the yr on the PR to see if he could put it all together was puzzling too..I know he got hurt near end of camp...so maybe he gets brought back?...Dunno

we dont even need to flip the ratio tho....W e can function just fine with an import RB and 5 canadians on offense (3 ol and 2 Rec) and 2 on defense...so this ratio flip is moot...We choose to maintain it as Canadian...And paying BO what he wants which to me is an overpay...and carry a serviceable RB to back him up in Auggie costs us around 350k of cap space. Really if we declare a 5 and 2 designation for where we use our Canadians, we can easily back BO up with Smith...or any other American back we roster as an in game replacement, and a multi game replacement The fact we allocate about 1 million in cap space to ZC..BO and JA is bad salary management in my opinion. Rosary could have filled JA role for just over half the price, and offer more in the passing game...and getting a back like the one in Ottawa ...or a Carey type...Mills....Pre-injury Standback is not a hard task as there are literal 100's to choose from in the States...so entry level deal there for a bruiser with more athleticism could of easily off-set some of that albatross of a contract that ZC has us over the barrel with now. Same with the dumb money paid to Kramdi for basically average at best production...and still after 3 yrs brain fart after brain fart...And again...a Canadian isnt really needed there either....another example of poor allocation of sms for production you get....toss in Biggie and Ba's money and you see why right now we appear to be in a bit of cap hell This also leads right back to clinging to guys....over valuing tenured vets, and not having the foresight or the willingness to look forward..transition, and continually get better...we been to content at looking back and being content on past success and showing loyalty to players past their usefulness In the last 3 yrs...where have we actually gotten better or restocked the cupboard with top line talent...with big upside? I will say Adams/Woods/Fox/Garbutt....then again if Walker wasnt looking for bigger money he would have basically be pencilled in the lineup...and Bennett not being hurt or whatever the issue is there...he would have been seeing likely Jake Thomas reps too So Likely 2 of the 4 mentioned wouldnt have been kept, and Hubert probably would not have gotten on the roster to develop and show potential (he has done more in 3 games than Bennett did all yr) We'd be watching heavy doses of WJ...having to work with Thomas...and Walker eating most the reps...and not sure who off the edge to compliment WJ but an insane amount of Bennet spelling off whoever it was...There would have been no need in Osh eyes to keep any of the best interior guys we have had out this yr because ...heck we have returnees Walker..Thomas..Schmeck..Bennett...so we good and solid...and just the thought of that scenario is enough to make u wanna puke

Thing is we don't need to play the way we did with Strev as only way to win. We need to have Buck tailor the scheme to him and let him grow as a passer...dude can pass, and would have had better numbers last game if not for some brain farts by 3 raw receievers, as well as some penalties negating s few plays. There not a lot of QB's up here who thrive as a pocket passer....not even ZC now...as when any pressure...or threat of it happens...he basically screwed now. There are lots of guys tho who would...and do thrive with moving launch point..roll outs and sprints....and Strev would most certainly thrive with that....especially when you have him roll out to the edge,,,It will become a pick your poison scenario then and defense's will get gouged. It's all in Buck and Osh's hands on how to morph things, and allow us to be sucessful, and that means with the right personell. This style of offense also makes a weaker line look way better...much like teams that used to use the veer....was a ways to odff-set a poor line...we dont have a poor line, but with a system where you wanna move the pocket and launch points and have oline guys sliding and switching blocks....You definately need to pooch Kolo right outta there....he can't as it is pick up moving parts and any defender that causes him to have to make a decision, or realize when to dis-engage off a tandem block he's so useless...will say it agin that center is a spot that is really hampering the line in general, and why Osh cant drop this loyalty to certain guys isn't helping Lawler I expect back within 3 weeks max...and with him and Lucky added to things...and some scheming to focus on what we have and what we can be succesful with...I can see a major turn around...now the fly in the ointment is how long do we keep expecting ZC to turn it around?....If he looks much the same again this week...and we look just useless on offence....they need to sit him down...plain and simple. Even if he does look half way decent, we still need to do a lot of Strev series...that he isn't just a gimmick...but running an offence tailored to what he can do...and the issues he can cause

316 for 481 for 4134 yards 32 TD passing..8 ints isnt a run heavy wildcat offense...not sure where you get that idea from....thats his senior yr stats...he also rolled up 720 yards on the ground as well...avareaged 13.1 yards per pass as well

yup....we have a guy who can grind out the shorter stuff...also with Strev...we have guys around him now who would make the jet sweep...or the fake of it...and the RPO that much more effective.... Oh I agree...definately will be some ups and downs and growth into the spot...but we have seen a lot of real bad QB play of late with ZC...and he is a one trick pony...so he is very limited in how he can manage a game with sub par support....Its gonna be an interesting dynamic...and if anything his leash should be ultra short...

a qb wouldnt stick around down there as long as he did, and get as many looks as he did if he was flawed and deemed a guy who couldnt pass...His throwing style is funky...but so have been a lot of other QB's who did just fine. He came into the league as a guy passing the ball....but his extreme brute running got coaches here all googoo gaga over it and they pidgeon holed him

I'm not yeah....kinda true...But Strev also got a win behind that same line....even worse recievers than what ZC has had....and that was his first start really in 4 yrs...Strev is equiped to win right now with poor oline play...and minimal weapons...with more starts...improving line play...some weapons back...whats to say he wont be even better...and still possess thatthing ZC doesnt have...and will never have...escabaility and serious threat on the ground? Thats my take as well...He is and was way more a better established passer before Lapo almost ruined him....and possess's a lot more in the intangibles...as well as better running than the Faj...Given time...reps...and yup an offence designed to NOT make him a pocket passer exclusively....he would be extremely good....we put time and effort...most of it wasted on sub par and pointless players under Osh...Maybe do it with one with serious upside and future ahead of him

have to agree...Defence is their big issue....and I'd flip BLM for ZC right now...unless ZC shows some kind of massive reclamation of himself in the next third of season....I not very confident in that tho from what we seen so far

Canadian Denny Fortney....and yeah...a lean 280 even...be easyto do with his body type and age....could prob increase his speed as well with more lean weight and some speed training as bizzare as it may seem...we have been giving up the second fewest points per game in the league...and thats with an injury riddled lineup...some early growing pains with ford....and some piss poor front 7 personell and usage.....we dial that in and get anything at all above average from the offence...the ship can be righted fairly easily on the fly this yr, and hopefully next yr is just some tweaks and a few free agent adds ...as opposed to wholesale overhaul from a bunch of dead wood.....gotta make some those transitions here now in the 2nd 3rd of the season to align nicely with the guys we will have back from injury

there is none....as usual and yeah...Pointless carrying all those guys, as Lawler will be back sooner than later.....And really there no reason Clericius can't take on the snaps for an import in case of an in game injury...Guy has been getting beter each snap and brings a lot to the run game with his blocking. We also can use Smith with offensive snaps too.... When Lawler is back, we run Lawler..Demski..Woli...Whitehead and the best out of Johnson/Wilson with Clericius also in the mix...thats not too bad a unit...even better if Wheatfall gets back too...Gives us a nice mix of filed stretchers...50/50 ball guy...some nice big bodied possesion guys and some shifty multi purpose ones....

I have no issues with Wilson either...still can go sideline to sideline and make plays....his 2 partners back there tho make the group pretty weak....shore up MLB and SAM then evaluate the group

I would like to see Wj...Adams..Woods...Garbutt get lions share in 40 and 30 fronts....Then Use Hubert the most....out of the 3 Canadians...and would have Kept Fayad and Schmeck...and if he continues to not progress give Samson a go...No need for Thomas really...why waste reps on a guy who has no future past this season, nor any real influence on many plays...let alone the game Thats the best we can put out there in my opinion with what we have available unless we pick someone up Ideally would be nice to roll out WJ..and 1 or 2 of Woods..Fox..Adams and Lawson up the gut...depending on the front with Garbutt and Hubert being seasoned, and if roster allowed Fayed (for now) rounding out the group.... give us a real versatile DL rotation and at same time eliminate some dead weight...will that happen...nope...not with Osh Oshin'....but if we did...we'd be looking good....then correct that LB group on the fly We solid with Ford/Bonds/Nichols....Holm I still think is weak and wayyyy better suited as a true free safey back there and I like what Griffen brings and would I think do well at HB...and brings a physicality there we need

he definately knows where to go underneath and when/where to sit down to give a QB a target. I dont think he was brought in for a deep threat for 50/50 balls....Moreso for intermediate stuff....use in the option...je=t sweep game and running crossers and intermediate seems...if for anything to take a defender with him to clear out zones...and if he does gets the ball in space...he definately will be an issue to contend with

yeah a lot of people are really under appreciating what he can bring, and what It may will allow us to do with the offence, especially in the Strev offence. Part of whats ailing us is having bsiclly 3 gys right now at any given time that are as green as green can be, and don't have a grasp on the nuances yet...an where to go when theysee certain looks. That and they have to actively think and then make their decison, whereas with Lucky it will be instinctive muscle/mind memory moves, and those fraction of sections are huge

Exactly this...and if Buck schemes for this and we run an offense predicated with this in mind..with the right collection of weapons it would be a very tough offense to defend..and then the majority of Strevs runs are less physical...but the physical aspect is there if and when needed.
