Week 2 - The Champs @ RedBlacks - GDT
Ottawa is definitely much improved from last year but we saw the good and bad out of both Masoli and LaPolice. Masoli had a ton of yards but couldn't get it done. They waited for him to make a mistake in both games. LaPo throwing the hail mary challenge flag and losing the timeout was a major mistake as well (hilarious that Ferguson and Suitor both said the game was pretty much done after Ottawa's turnover on downs, then realized their mistake). The Bombers are slowly starting to figure things out. Offensively the OL and RB spots are hurting us still. Collaros with versus without pass protection is a huge difference. Need more run gaps from the OL and for Oliveira to step up his game. Augustine is definitely the more explosive back. Richie Hall and the defense continue to save the team in my opinion (despite their own flaws too).

Als v stamps
Vernon Adams is a really fun player. If he can stay healthy, he is going to be good for both Montreal and the league as one of the league's next potential QB stars. Also, I like Montreal's new helmets and that the Stamps are staying red/white only for the home jerseys.

Pre-Season Game 2 - Winnipeg @ Saskatchewan - Tuesday May 31
That was a nice throw by Prukop, but not sure its worthy of the love its getting from Suitor. Quick progression and hit the wide open seam route. This is more of an expectation than an accomplishment, but it is definitely nice to see him connect on a deep ball.

Pre-Season Game 2 - Winnipeg @ Saskatchewan - Tuesday May 31
I'm pretty convinced that Suitor is an active deterrent for fans, both new and old. I would love for someone to actually break down the play (correctly), instead of rambling on about something.

Seems pretty odd. I assume it's just them talking up the players.

Agree that Brown has won the backup spot. Better accuracy, touch, still plenty mobile. Been impressed. He worked the middle of the field really well for someone with limited experience. It is really weird seeing Bailey out there with a bunch of guys unlikely to make the team.

2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
Mostly that the CFL isn't the top football league, the product and coverage can be bad, sometimes things like rules or reffing. To these folks, who only want to watch "the best," it doesn't matter if there are 7 or 0 Canadians playing. They aren't going to watch and the league is unlikely to draw them in, in my opinion. The CFL should still try to attract new fans obviously, but you also don't want to lose the ones you have.

2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
I know many, many people who aren't fans of the CFL. None of those people complain about the Canadians. To me this would indicate that if you want to attract those fans, you are looking at the wrong problem.

2021/22 - CFL Offseason - Non-Back-to-Back Grey Cup Champion Thread
I think the CFLPA royally screwed this up but at the same time I am completely in favour of keeping the Canadian content. I also like it kept simple (no snap percentage) as that makes it easier on casual fans. I very much enjoy watching the best players compete in the NFL but can still enjoy the CFL for what it is. Take away the Canadians and you're left with a weird copy of the USFL and XFL, both of which I have no interest in. I like that our team is run by a bunch of Canadians. Reducing the opportunities for Canadian players has a downstream effect on a lot more than people think.

2021 Grey Cup GDT - Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats
Yes I was, but again from that first glimpse I wasn't 100% confident. The camera angle was hard to tell if there was air under the ball/hand.

2021 Grey Cup GDT - Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats
TSN botched the ending for sure. Watching the interception live last night I didn't even celebrate, I thought Rose may have had it touch the turf. Everybody on the field was going nuts and I was waiting for the replay... Don't know how they weren't ready for some big play (from either team) that deep into overtime.

2021 Grey Cup GDT - Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats
Complete "C"FL on display. Rouges were game-changing. Overtime thrilling. A team down 12 still had a chance to win in the fourth quarter. Sell new fans on the excitement.

2021 Grey Cup GDT - Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats
I get that we are all Bomber fans and so not completely neutral observers, but there will be no convincing me that pretty much all the TSN media folks were cheering really hard for Hamilton.

2021 Grey Cup GDT - Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats
Think Osh for sure is in the conversation now. For fans like me, Osh is the greatest Bomber coach ever and it isn't even close. That's what happens when you go through such a long Cup drought.

HOOOOOOOOOOOLY GEEEEEEZE I CAN'T BELIEVE IT

2021 Grey Cup GDT - Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats
Not sure a FG does anything. Should have gone for it. If you fail they're still pinned deep against the wind. Bad night all around.

Hurts worse than 2001. Buck took the week off planning apparently. Forgot about the rest of our players.

Zach determined to lose this one. Man we need a miracle play.

Collaros likely cost them the game with that point swing. Just doesn't feel like our night.

2021 Grey Cup GDT - Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats
They've got to adjust for Masoli. I don't think Evans had anything against this defense, but Masoli gives them a better chance.

2021 Grey Cup GDT - Bombers vs. Tiger-Cats
What a brutal half. Buck wasting most of our possessions trying to run Harris on first down. They look flipping awful on offense and there are no excuses for that. But man, hard not to see this going Hamilton's way now. The fans and TSN sure seem to be rooting for the Cats.

CFL Awards (Still Schenelys To Me)
I'm still baffled TSN has five channels (and "bonus" feeds available in their app), and can't put this on one of them. Kudos to all the award winners tonight. Particularly happy for Osh given the work needed to get this team to their current level.

Problem is I think I say this after every game. I have absolutely, positively no faith in the CC.

Early chat- Ticats vs Champs Grey Cup Thread
Playing Hamilton in Hamilton will certainly be a challenge, because neutral observers will default to "it's their turn this time." I expect a few big, soft calls to favour the Cats.

GDT - Western Final - Riders @ The Champs
Brutal half when we should have beat them early. Hope they wake up soon because they're lucky to be in the game with this many turnovers.
