I likes the previous options shown better. This looks arena/college ball to me.
good call.. it does kinda seem shoddy and weak for a CFL team..
*shrug* but like Mike said, our W is pretty basic too lol.
-
awesome to see he user list grow, hopefully it continues and those of us willing to, will have 3 sites to keep us all entertained all day
-
getting fugly outside... they moving indoors or dealing with the elements I wonder..

Just an FYI which could be a larger problem for some peeps.... I'm viewing this from work which sadly does not have the latest browswers (ie8) and unfortunately we also have our javascript setting set somewhat tight.
The end result is that the page looks like this for me ->
I'm sure it won't be the norm for most people, but definitely a chunk of folks who slack at work will have issues viewing the site.
Thanks

ouchie. that ain't good.. No way to use chrome or firefox?

need.. more.. reports..
come on mike, appease the masses!

aaaaaaand it begins. Just let it slide, Spuds......ignore.....
yea yea yeaaa.. I don't know the full scoop but just thought it was a funny post. I'm stunned if the entire group of guys who came over here were outright banned..
**edit**
I'd also like to point out how cute it is that Bluto blocks me then continues to talk about me.. class act I tells ya, hide behind an ignore feature. if he wants to discuss me, at least man up.
-
as to the main point of the thread, excellent concept.. hopefully it works out that way.. I know myself and many others are going to post here, there and the "official" board and hopefully without any issues..
I also know that Colin did say he was willing to allow the folks that moved over here to come back to OB.com as long as there is no shameless self promoting of MBB.
Take it for what its worth I suppose but I can't see why we all can't co-exist.. More bomber sites the better, I can't see having a new one will cause the death of the other guys..
-
if you're banned and you know it clap your hands!
you have to admire the boldness of the strategy though: ban a group of posters who produced the best content on your site.
no offense but pretty high opinion of yourself eh?

So apparently, according to what I heard, Carmon asked for his release.
well thats a shame.. too bad, thought he had some solid potential.. was he better then Douglas or January or would he have been strictly depth?

im in if theres enough for group 2

footage of the QB's throwing and interviews from Day one is up on the BB site. Max Hall really puts heat on the ball! I've never heard people cheer after a throw into a net before!
Said it once, probably gonna say it again.. Hall is one QB who I think is going to make some noise.. Goltz might end up being 3rd again

I’d pass. The NFL sensationalism is something that some people hold too high a regard for. The money to get him can easily be spent elsewhere. Good defensive ends are not terribly hard to find.
Not to mention that Chick’s stock value has dropped for reasons already mentioned.
Not that I wanted to get involved in the sweepstakes at all.. but after hearing his injury woes AND his lack of playing time in general.. yea, heres hoping calgary signs him

Bob Irving saying Rifles junior Brett Carter doesn't look out of place at all at camp so far.
I'd agree with that. He didn't do much yesterday but today he made some nice catches in traffic and held on to the ball. Michael DiCroce also had a pretty good session. He missed a couple but also had some nice catches. He caught a nice 20-30 yarder from Chase Clement. You can definitely see the potential there. Carl Fitzgerald still looks pretty raw but he's getting a lot of work since he's the only running back or fullback at rookie camp. He has to work on being more aggressive catching the ball in traffic, because that's what he's going to be doing if he gets the chance to catch the ball in game... still, I like the potential there too. He needs to realize he's bigger and stronger than some of the guys out there, even though they are older and more experienced... needs to use that to his advantage.
As far as the import receivers go, Doug Pierce caught a lot of balls today and looked pretty good doing it. I didn't notice Anderson much today. My guys are Wallace Miles and Trevor Kennedy... both look good. Miles is the most polished looking receiver, catches almost everything, kinda reminds me of Denmark in 2011 training camp.
Not a whole lot more to say. I thought Goltz stepped up a bit today and looked pretty good. Again the linemen were just doing drills but I liked Zach Anderson's intensity and heard him getting some praise. Started to rain near the end, I'm guessing they end up in the indoor soccer complex this afternoon. Unfortunately I can't attend, so this is it for today.
awesome, thanks for the synopsis..

Any reports from today? Gotta be done, right?
Surprising lack of coverage thus far but the first thing I heard was essentially "goodbye Mike Renaud"
Cameron looked good. Real good.
Sounds like Renaud might be the Pete Best of Bomber punters this camp
Sad but true.. Unless he cranks it up a notch somehow.. his directional punting is probably not going to save him from the boomers that the new bloods are hammering..

Bob Irving @BobIrvingCJOB 20m
Max hall pitches a beauty to jameze massey--fans applaud
That makes me smile - two exciting players to watch.
woohoo. lets hope we keep hearing that first part and other receivers all camp long

As always, a .500 mark should suffice to make the post season..
in the CFL 8 wins gets your into the playoffs guaranteed, 7 is even good enough some of the years. 10 wins had you in contention for top spot I think so there's not as much ground to make up in the standings as people might think.
oh I totally agree.. Burke is right, if we hit 8-10 we should be in playoffs without question.. 7-8 would make it interesting.. kinda like missing it by one game
-
I hope he goes to Calgary
for any reason in particular?
(i mean, besides the fact that it would be a huge middle finger to the Riders?)
That's my reason.
that works for me.. anything that gets the riders in a tizzy is a wise move in m books

hope that mack doesn't do much else then try and drive the price up for the guy.. Hes not horrible but I'd rather see what we have with Anderson and Hyde before bringing in someone else's find..
Hall on the other end should continue to be a force..
-
Poor James Carmon, I really liked him.
Well, I nailed 3 out of 5 earlier today. Not bad.
Wow you stud
bow-chica-bow-wow...
wonder why Carmon isn't here.. Mike, any insight?
-
Nice that he elaborated and he hinted that Brink would probably be on speed dial if needed..
-
Hall will outplay Clemment but I don't know about Goltz right off the hop.. For some reason something tells me Hall should be a gooder..
I'm not too worried about our protection schemes or our offensive game plans.. Crowton seemed to have the offense clicking for the last third of the season and I expect it will only continue to improve..
-
As always, a .500 mark should suffice to make the post season.. Hopefully its at least that or better for the bombers this season.. we do have a lot of turn over taking place on the roster and our QB spot is still murky (less confusion if buck stays healthy and upright) but D-line, LB and to a lesser extent o-line still all need to shake themselves out..
I do like the depth we have built up so far but to see if any of it pans out AND if can gel with some expediency.. that will be the biggest questions..
-
my word that guy is huge for a QB..
-
possible real time chat for game days or maybe even anytime?
Definitely in the works.
nice. other then that, keep up the good work, board looks pretty solid so far.

yea, pretty sad choice, truth be told.. I didn't realize the ottawa team would be playing by aussie league rules..
