When I was a Bomber season ticket holder before I moved to Calgary I always left 90 mins before a game. I lived in Riverview & later Southdale & the drive north on Kenaston was always a concern. The big difference of course was parking. You always knew you could find a parking space around the stadium. Well, those days are gone now & that ha sparked the panic & frustration of today. People who normally would have driven have to take Transit now. To underestimate the number of people taking the bus last night was sheer stupidity by whoever makes those decisions. Glad I wasn't a part of the scene last night. We have rapid transit here in Calgary & it moves tens of thousands of people everyday. The C Train stops right at McMahon Stadium. Moves people to & from the games efficiently & easily.

He was awful last night. Didn't appreciate his waking up from a coma remark during the post game show or the lipstick on a pig comment after Brent Carter's last play catch... In reference to Irving showing happiness with the effort Carter put in last night. Irving was getting exasperated with him at times. He needs to take that huge chip off his shoulder.

Only the Bombers marketing department knows why Buzz & Boomer were changed. Better get them in the buffet line so they can morph back into their former selves.

Carter's as good as Etienne now after only just one preseason game. He'll make this team. Good thing Jade worked out this off season & got into the playbook as Carter might have taken his spot. And good on Jade for finally realizing he's a pro football player & really does belong.

Oh yeah and as good as my actual SEATS are, holy **** is the environment around me AWFUL. I think my section is being sponsored by the River Ridge Nursing Home. The most excitement I saw from other fans was a dude shaking his cane at the field. For real.

Ok I somewhat take it back, Doug mentioning being waked up from a coma wasn't really appropriate. Kind of sounded whiny and that was unnecessary.
That's exactly what I was talking about. There's nothing wrong with telling listeners that the game wasn't good as an analyst because that is what he is getting paid to do. But he was starting to get stupid & I mean STUPID on the air. For Doug to start referring to the game as waking up from a coma is just ridiculous. Or Carter's catch as lipstick on a pig?? I don't want hear that. Even Bob irving was sounding exasperated. At one point, Brown made a reference to something Bob had earlier said & Irving says, "I didn't say that!" That's the point when someone should've sent a message to Doug in his headset to shut up. Doug wasn't being an analyst. He was being a jerk. One thing, I didn't hear a lot of why a play worked or not. Just a lot of whining from Brown.

Just what is Doug Brown doing in the booth with Irving? Bitching, complaining, negative.... How about some analysis after a play? That would be be a start, Doug. His comment that Bob "Effectively put lipstick on this pig" after commending Carter's last play catch made me want to tell him to STHU. Go back & play if that's all he's got to say.Yeah, it wasn't pretty. Not saying that the CJOB announcers have to be cheerleaders but if that is what fans have to look forward to listening to CJOB it's, gonna be aa long season.

Game 1 of the Stanley Cup final is also tonight
And there are people out there that want the CFL to start the season a month earlier than they do now so the GC can be played last Sunday in October. People, this is why training camps should start now, not June 1st. So hockey is over & done with by the time the pre season starts. Can you imagine the CFL starting the regular season in early June competition with the SC playoffs if the season ended in late October??

I take it burners mean users? I've never heard people who smoke weed referred to in that manner before. If marijuana is legalized then corner stores as well as major retail chains will sell it eventually. It'll be heavily regulated at first but laws will be relaxed as time goes on.

I got laughed at last night after playing flag football for saying I was going to listen to a CFL preseason game on the radio... no one understands just how good Bob Irving is... We Bomber fans are damned lucky to have that man calling games for us.
Why would someone laugh at you for listening to a game on the radio? As you're in Calgary like me, it'll be the same morons who'd listen to the Flames pre season games on radio even though the team is garbage.

I was wondering myself if that was ArgoDave. Funny how Access_Blue just showed up when this site started. That's just not coincidence. Something was up. If that dude shows up here under any name & acts up then I predict that he'll have an even shorter shelf life than he did over there. The new mods over there didn't know how to take the guy so they let his hijinks get carried away,

If you're impaired, you're impaired be it weed or alcohol. Doesn't matter to me as it is the same. People feel they can drive under the influence of weed instead of alcohol are asking for trouble. For themselves & others.
