Also, if you start a Canadian RB you need to have a capable Canadian RB so the ratio isn't affected if the starter goes down with injury. Cornish is a special player so the Stamps have to start him as he is a ratio buster.... If Winnipeg uses Volny as a starting back, then we need a Canadian backup which we don't have. Therefore, Volny can't start. The only way Volny would really help us is if we somehow had Andrew Harris starting ahead of him. Over an entire season, Volny couldn't be our starting running back. I agree, find an American back.

Okay, my opinion of Joe Mack's not going to change but I'll knock it off providing 17to85 does as well. Just to clarify one thing. I'm not angry or upset at 17. I don't hate the guy. I have no issue with him. I actually enjoy sparring with him. I think he is a very knowledgeable fan & enjoy his posts. He's stubborn. So am I. Now, maybe he has a problem with me, I dunno. However, I don't have one with 17. We could end this conversation on this thread right now & I'd be fine with him.

Some of the comments they both made about our Canadian content, the way the Bombers have drafted, how the team needs to develop players, how we were deliberately not players in free agency all under Mack. Right from the start they haven't been complimentary about the man as well as how things needed to change

We should have won 4 or 5 with teams we had back then. 1983 was the first year we should have won, instead of 1984. And 1985-7 as well. We had some kick-arse teams in those days. And the one in 1990 was technically a 1990's cup. Then there were all those cups in the 00's....not... We had great teams in 1980, 81 & 82 under Jauch but we'd always find a way to lose in the playoffs to the Esks & Lions. Same with our teams from 1985 thru 87. We just could never win the final game we played in all those years. The 80's was a great decade for the team.

These games should be on CFL.ca, not TSN. They should also have a CFL Archive so if you wanted to watch a game from 2004 you could. The CFL website could be much improved. Too bad we also don't have the equivalent of NFL Films.... The CFL has missed out on its history.

Mack delivered 2 long term starters via the draft, Corey Watson & Henoc Muamba. And a third via free agency in Rory Kohlert. Other guys were in & out of the lineup as starters then backups again... That's it, in 3 1/2 seasons, three long term starters... *** Change that to include Chris Greaves who I overlooked. *** Four players became long term starters in 3 1/2 seasons...
