Lapolice is in his 10th season as a primary play caller in the CFL. Exactly once he has coached a top 3 passing offense, and that was his first year in 2002 when Milt had the best season by a receiver in CFL history. Doesn't matter what collection of players he has. At some point the guy has to go from being a "genius" to a guy who can't make an offense work, and can't figure out how to utilize talent week after week.
