  1. The depth chart doesn't matter, it's for media. The only players reporting for subs are the DI's, that's who the team has to designate to the refs along with the 7 Canadian starters and which side of the ball they are on. If you start 2 on D, you always need 2 Canadians on D minimum, but if you want to put 5 out there that's fine you just can't sub DI's (the non-starting internationals) in for Canadians on O and D. On special teams there is no count. The DI's are the players who have to report in when they sub so the refs can ensure the ratio is followed.
  2. Not an extra DI. The only imports designated are the DI's, the rest are technically starters but you can always sub a Canadian in for one, can always play extra Canadians but limited to number of internationals on each side of the ball. I'd guess we are going 5 NI's on O, 2 on D as our "starters" but could pretty easily go 6 and 1 based on the OL this week.
  3. I'd cut Hajrullahu for Castillo 10 times out of 10 and Medlock 15 times out of 10.
  4. Harris doesn't fit Montreal's offense at all.
  5. I'd rather trade Gray than a high pick. Those picks are more valuable with the rookie contracts now. Personally think it was a major screwup to not have 2-3 guys up here on the bye week so they'd be ready to play by now. Put the best one on the roster.
  6. Sunderland must be on the firing line here soon.
  7. No contain there, guess they didn't expect run.
  8. He better make a kick soon to keep his Canadian work visa as a professional kicker.
  9. The coverage on the missed FG's has been pretty good so they've basically been punts.
  10. Shouldn't you miss these kicks right if anything? The ball has to go right to have a shot. Something is seriously wrong with the approach.
  11. Have to ask Steve Daniel but I'd guess that 2/3 times the team with the choice takes an end to get the advantage in the long quarter, 2nd or 4th. So yeah you see quite a few games with one team receiving both kickoffs in the 1/3 where one team doesn't take an end.
  12. See it a lot in Canadian football. Teams usually choose the wind for the 4th quarter if there is any.
  13. Each team gets a choice for a half. From initial coin toss the team that wins it can choose in first half or defer to second half. Choice is direction or ball. Teams usually choose the wind in the long quarters, 2nd and 4th, which was likely our choice tonight when it was ours, not sure 1st half or 2nd. Guessing Edmonton took the ball in the 2nd half to try to get on the board.
  14. Adams and Bailey are not making contested catches. Maybe time to rely on others more.
  15. So that's the standard? Burn the rulebook.
  16. Incredibly bad call. Textbook PI. DB does not play the ball and blows up the receiver so he can't make a play on the ball.
  17. Pretty damp out there. Harris is throwing crappy balls too.
  18. That's PI. 0 is face guarding.
  19. I don't like the long stretches we go without running because it knocks some of the physicality out of our OL. When we are ahead there's no reason to do anything but kick ass.
  20. Our short-yardage plays couldn't be more obvious pre-snap.
  21. Buck has got to move down the play sheet to beat these blitzes. Quick game is not a strength of Collaros, but time to work the middle of the field.
  22. Man, McKnight is getting the worst calls.
  23. What a patient play by Collaros.
