It's hard to understand the state of denial the Riders Dickenson is in RE penalties. Penalties: -Cost you field position -Keep your defense on the field -Take your offense off the field These outcomes take points off the board for your team and set the other team up to score points. They only contribute to losing, if you win you've overcome these deficits and you probably aren't facing an equal opponent or your opponent has also hurt themselves with penalties and turnovers.
-
Yeah I'm not really sure why these moves weren't the initial ones.
-
I mean maybe Mourtada sticks around in case Castillo pulls a hammy at some point, but Castillo is a borderline NFL kicker, can also punt if needed with a long track record of solid play.

Yes and no. There's a difference between getting behind the ball carrier and pushing/dragging him or pushing the pile. Especially when the team we're assuming will score 0 for the rest of the game in reality scored 10 points after that play and likely would have scored on another possession if not running out the clock. 3-4 possessions left after that play.

Week 12 Lions @Champs pre game talk

You might have forgot who holds tiebreakers in some scenarios? -
This too TANDEM BLOCKING It shall be illegal to assist the forward progress of a ball carrier by providing impetus from behind or in front of the ball carrier.

It was a contact injury. He was stumbling on his own then the DB speared him on the turf in the endzone.
-
Maybe. I doubt he leaves the sideline. Shiltz is decent and Khari likes a little mobility plus the run game and playaction. Harris has never run an offense like that, more of a west coast/spread type.
-
Don't really see a need for Harris in Montreal. He's been awful for some time and is reportedly toxic in more ways than one.
-
Harris was running up and down the sidelines the entire second half. If there was any concern about structural damage that wouldn't have been happening. In terms of McGuire, why not give him a few series in the first half of games and maybe the first one or two coming out of the half? We're going to have to gear down here soon and give guys a rest, we're already at the point where we'd have to lose out and have someone else win out to not be first. Maybe we flip that on its head and do it earlier in the season around the bye and play the last game of the season as more of a tone setter for the playoffs.

Lapolice is a supposed offensive guru. As a head coach, in parts of 4 seasons, he's presided over the worst or 2nd worst offense in every season in terms of PF and yards per game. The 2011 team was slightly over .500 and made the Grey Cup. Other than that his teams are winning less than 30%. He's a terrible head coach. We can debate his work as an OC, but there's no disputing he's a historically awful head coach. He's in the conversation with the Tim Burke's, PaoPao's, Reinebold's etc. Him and Jim Daley might be the only coaches this bad to get more than one job.

Any "should have lost" narrative is remarkably ignorant. It's a stupid what if game. The Bombers easily left two TD's on the field with redzone turnovers and FG's, plus another TD on a "shoulda" pick six. Alexander drops a pick at midfield that probably would have led to more points. Add it up, 10 point win with another 24 points that easily should have been scored. We're saying Edmonton should win the game based on one play with almost a whole quarter left? Get real. Agreed. The blitzing worked for one quarter and then the Bombers went up and down the field against it. The only reason Edmonton was in this game was unforced errors.
-
Only because we haven't seen life without Bryant.
-
How does Edmonton not clean house this week?
-
Uhh...why did Edmonton choose to run some kind of bizarre rugby play with no one behind the ball carrier with 25 seconds left?
-
Throwaway on 3rd and 1. Great awareness for a guy who is 6'5.
-
Nichols leads with his head and does himself in.
-
At least he missed it across the uprights. Moral victory.
-
Bombers OL targeting 95.
-
We need a bit more than that with almost 3 mins left.
-
I don't have a lot of hope for QB's who can't anticipate that out being jumped in man.
-
How the hell was that not No Yards?
-
Another way late hit.
-
Put two or three guys onside for our next punt and make the Elks poop themselves a bit.

Collaros mobility is wasted in this scheme. Should be running lots of read plays with legitimate reads to rollout passes and even the odd QB run. Otherwise the rush will just tee off.
