  1. No other QB in this league right now has an arm in the same realm as Collaros. Rourke can throw rainbows if he has time to torque his entire body. Collaros can throw a 35 yard rope that lands like a pillow on a full roll to his left as a right handed QB like the 2nd Schoen TD. Fajardo or Harris or MBT can't make that pass with unlimited time in a clean pocket.
  2. Great add. Like an extra draft pick. Get him in camp before he goes to college to become draft eligible, finally use our territorial exemption. I was coaching in the U16 tryouts/Blue and Gold game when Luke came in off the street, literally had not played football, as a 14 year old Grade 8 and almost made the team against a bunch of guys who had played through their grade 10 year with private coaches and the machinery of schools like St Pauls, OP, VM. Maybe doesn't seem like such a feat but even all time greats like Demski and Harris barely played in high school until they were in Grade 11. He's a natural football player and he's only improved as a receiver in the last 7-8 years with development. Would not be surprised to see him dressed to chase kicks and backup on offense this week.
  3. Didn't think the play with Robertson was intent to injure. It was an OL finishing a play. It was a legal block, Robertson was in kind of an awkward position trying to move forward between the blocks and got his foot stuck under him. I guess now there's sometimes a penalty called for being too far from the ball.
  4. I think Taylor is our worst guy this season by far. He’s constantly in recovery and getting picked on brutally.
  5. If you’re BC and all of your receivers are healthy, does Whitehead even get on the field? They can line up across the board with 6’2 and up guys who can also run by.
  6. Because that’s the primary job of everyone not rushing the QB in a league where 70% of the offensive plays are passing.
  7. It was pretty conclusive in my eyes. The ball is clearly on the turf under Houston. Couldn’t have been a fumble by Houston because it was after contact with Banks and the ground. Banks also drags it across the field when he has it. So INT or incomplete. The only reason why that play has a chance to be a TD is because of an incorrect call on the field and the kind of stupid base assumption of review that it has to prove the wrong call on the field is wrong. We need a common sense rule for review. Just watch the play and make the call that’s correct not even thinking about what the call on the field is.
  8. Maybe. I think Collaros a) doesn’t really have a guy he trusts on 50-50 balls aside from Ellingson b) isn’t trusting the pocket as he’s had a lot of them pushed into him, no time to follow through downfield. Also we’re forgetting the impact that the check downs to Harris made. That’s 50-70 yards a game we aren’t getting although we didn’t get them much last year either.
  9. Have lots of thoughts that I’ll probably add in over the week but the main ones: -We need an RB who can be an effective receiver. We Olivieira can do some hard running, McCrae has some burst, Augustine is a fine sub who might feature better in a 2 back set as in put him out there instead of Miller. Augustine can do some things in space but he doesn’t get out there with the ball on his own. -We need someone to be a deep threat without Demski…who isn’t really a consistent deep threat either. Hard call to make and maybe easier if Ellingson is down, but I think maybe we dress one of those longer body boundary type WR’s (either PR guy) over Bailey soon if nothing changes on O. -Our pass coverage (including LB’s) is really discombobulated. Taylor in particular seems to be really struggling. Still makes some plays but really getting targeted and torched too.
  10. I mean this year with Harris the Argos would have been a draw but the answer to the question is teams want more rivalry games for the gate.
  11. Yeah most of the OL who get here have played tackle at lower levels. But then they need the ability to take on athletes like Jeffcoat and the mobility to force a 190 lb SAM who runs a 4.4 wide enough to hold a pocket. I think Dobson is a force going forward out of his stance but doesn’t look at all like he has the kick to pass block the edge at this level. Like you said he needs the work inside because even there in pass protection he’s going to have to get used to doing more than using brute force.
  12. I like the H. Hate “the hammer”
  13. Dobson is an interior only guy. Think they need to consider that with tight end packages and maybe swap him abd Gray for those.
  14. Wonder if Grant has a bit more of a role on O as well. Pretty thin offensively, we’re an O’Leary-Orange or Wolitarsky nick away from playing two backs the whole game.
  15. Should have about 30.
  16. One team allowed to do anything they want after the whistle the others getting called for everything.
  17. Brutal missed call there. Horsecollar then fumble, back has his leg snapped by illegal tackle.
  18. You need an eye in the sky to call these misconduct penalties. No way in hell 51 should still be in this game. Horsecollar.
  19. What a stupid drive for the refs. Really looking for that one, letting 51 carry on with trying to end careers with hits 50 yards away from the play.
  20. Other than Calvillo being a total mole for Maciocia.
  21. Make sure you back pedal another 5 yards when you know you're going to get sacked Cody.
  22. 14 contain guy for Sask got way too excited and way too far inside, hands over a TD.
  23. Masoli doesn’t have any wins either.
  24. Both teams were constantly running RPO and QB draws because the passing ability was so limited. Wasn't an unusual play in the game.
  25. Don't want the ball in Dane Evans' hands at the end of the game.
