  1. I'd be very pleased if it went this way. (it won't)
  2. No problem. *****.
  3. Sounds like somebody is accepting my avatar bet...
  4. Told you already, he's gone next January.
  5. I love Andrew Harris. I've seen his very best as he's been an Argo killer for years. I'd take his head, heart and passport over Wilder's any day. But Wilder is an athlete on a higher level. Willing to avatar bet with one lucky person on this year's production.
  6. Pretty much. One guy changes entire gameplans. The other doesn't. That's the difference, even if you stop Wilder, he beats you by forcing you to always account for him. People that think that cold weather had anything to do with his production dropping off in the playoffs either weren't watching or just plain don't know how to watch. (and he still broke away for 17 and 22 in the EDF).
  7. I keep seeing this meme and can't help but think that the people who wrote it should watch linebackers a little closer.
  8. Toronto under Barker had an established culture of allowing players who could obviously win an NFL roster spot to go and try it. Sometimes it works out well and pays us a dividend (ie: Marcus Ball), other times the player takes his release and burns us (ie: Khalif Mitchell), but in either case as well in many others, I'm sure that was a great recruiting tool which kept our pipeline full and in part explains how Barker repeatedly conjured up premium import players year after year. Do I really think that a handshake deal has taken place with JWJ? Do I think that the Pope wears a goofy hat? I know... it's against a written rule of the league... I'm shocked! Staggered! Astonished!... $130k? I was being my usual adorable self by adding his 2018 Grey Cup winner bonus to his pay packet. I unblock you to see the quote of mine you posted and as a two'fer I also get to see this strawman of yours on SF27...
  9. Poor comparison. Poor, bitter comparison.
  10. Extended him last season IIRC.
  11. I dunno... having his future paycheque down south dependant on a monster year in 2019 seems pretty good to me. He went about it in the worst way possible, but it was always going to end this way with an improved deal for this season and a wink and a nod to leave next winter. We get a guy who legit has a shot at 2000 from scrimmage and he gets to pad his resume and make $130k. Not the best deal for either side, but it's liveable.
  12. You bringing the video camera and coke?
  13. That's a bit unfair. Big physical kid with a good attitude. Ran the short yardage packages with elan.
  14. Also known as "How to get your ride F'd with after a bad game in the rectangle".
  15. I think a handsome poster typed words to that effect while people were planning Ray's retirement party and succession plan back in the first week of January.
  16. If ever there was a forum that was begging to be Morning Big Blue'd, there it is.
  17. Not a "wow" at all. He was always coming back.
  18. That's genius!
  19. He isn't exaggerating much. The Argo's practice "facilities" have been pretty dreadful for awhile. I doubt it stays that way though with MLSE in charge and better organizational cohesiveness. EDIT: And while I will express my support for Butler being able to sabre rattle and try to get a better deal or a release in the same way that I did for JWJ... if I were in charge of the Argo's player personnel I'd double JWJ's salary to get him back in but I'd let Butler sit. Reality check: import D-Linemen, even elite ones (which Butler was sporadically) are easy to find... RBs who have everything JWJ does are very rare.
  20. We used to have 1 year contracts. It did serious harm to the league.
  21. Or maybe his old man or his agent have enough money to float him a loan for a year while he trains and his agent networks. Nobody is saying he's off to go be a sandwich artist or work the lumber aisle at home depot... just that not risking his health for a year is an actual option for him and the Argos had better respect that.
  22. That's a hit.
  23. Into a rookie one? Doubt it. But I guess you could try.
  24. Could you please be more specific...? I have 6 Cup Wins to choose from since your last...
  25. So did the Argos. And having a 6'2, 235 pounder with breakaway speed who can run inside or outside of the tackles, block and run a route and catch a ball sit out their season because they don't want to give him something closer to market value for his potential 1k/1k production just to accomplish what...? Prove a point of principle? No. Our principle always has been and always ought to be: winning the Grey Cup.
