  1. @SpeedFlex27 you might find it interesting that Cactus Jack Wells was a an old friend/drinking buddy of my Grandfather. Dad woke up one day as a kid and heard a really familiar voice. It was Jack Wells drinking coffee at their table, showed up to give Granddad an emergency ride to work. Would be like waking up to Bob Irving in my kitchen hahaha.
  2. Anyone else love the fact that the 2019 WSF broke Calgary as an elite franchise?
  3. Agreed. Driving more than 5-10 over is unnecessary. Just follow the speed limit and the rules of the road
  4. Yeah a lot of folks when they do want to hit the gas, don’t do it at the right time and it turns into a race you to the red light situation, which is no good either. What gets me the most is people who won’t use the middle lane to drive the speed limit. Going 10 under with no one in front of them, or unnecessarily braking when simply taking their foot off the gas will do.
  5. My weakness as a fan is tall WR’s. If a guys 6”6 he should lead the league in receiving every year and that’s that.
  6. My grandfather’s brother, Doug. Granddad was a huge fan too. They both moved here from Virden after the war and started going to games at Osborne Stadium.
  7. I hate driving in this city so much, specifically Regent avenue. It’s 60 kilometres per hour. Not a day goes by where I don’t have to sit behind a 3 lane wide row of cars driving like it’s the middle of bloody winter. Putting along at 40, forcing everyone to sit at the light at Lag, and the next one at Stapon. Why are people in this town so afraid of the god damned accelerator?
  8. I think he would have made even more of an impact here if Lapo hadn’t had him running 5 yard hooks all the time.
  9. This is just it. With a- how poor our coverage has been and B- running plays designed for him, not just expecting him to do whatever Lawler does.
  10. That’s very true. Hell of a point. I still say Stephan Ali could have been a big time player.
  11. I thought the same about Terrence Frederick! He had that great stop on a 3rd and 2 fake punt by Sask to seal the banjo bowl
  12. Yeah beat out Brandin Bryant in 2019 camp. Stove was taking reps from the start, but he became the starter after Nevis went to the Argos
  13. Good thing we have to roster 17 linebackers and couldn’t find a way to get ADS on. The Agudosi one kind of bugs me too. I know we’re stacked there but you have to find a way to use a 6”6 WR.
  14. He’s the ugliest man in our sport today…Juventud Gurrerra everybody!
  15. Lmao! You’d sooner see him take over an expansion team in Halifax.
  16. I’m pretty sure they nominate the punter for ROTY. It’s either him or Bennett, who hasn’t done much.
  17. For fun, what’s everyone’s knowledge level of involvement playing or being around the football? For myself I’m basically just a fan. I never had the frame to play the game past minor bantam (15). Dad played/coached HS and Junior ball. I’ve been going to Bomber games him since I was 3, taught me a lot from a very young age about how to watch football, especially the defensive backfield. My expert area would be more so when it comes to the history of the game. I’m a massive history nerd on all levels, and I’d put my memory vault up against anyone in the world (besides maybe Stats Junkie)
  18. It’s when they block #50 on the other team
  19. Re: Kolo. While not a huge fan, a huge part of his position is making calls. Since OL are never micd up, we don’t know how poorly (or well) Kolo is doing at that aspect of his game. One could speculate at a reach, that the sometimes erratic play of Collaros could correlate..
  20. His older work aged so well too. Just a treasure.
  21. Some of y’all take football opinions way too personally lol
  22. 1. Brady- A machine. Also saved the game by chasing down the end who made the fumble recovery. 2. Willie- Couple of timely knockdowns early to keep it from getting out of hand. 3. Parker- I don’t think Houston would have made the plays he did. The tackle at the end of regulation was my Bomber play of the year. Honker goes to Bailey for destroying that DB after the BC players were lowering their heads to hit on almost every play.
  23. After rewatching, that was objectively one of the all time classic CFL games
  24. That was cool to see. I don’t recall them going to that 30 as the base before. Not for more than a couple of plays anyhow.
  25. Legit turned it off twice. Glad I went back lol. This team is infuriating but I ****** love them
