  1. By all means enjoy your August Grey Cup run, I know its been awhile.
  2. Who's disagreeing with that? Fact is the Riders have the point differential over the Lions.
  3. I was referring to your win over the Argos.
  4. Last 3 years is irrelevant to this year, unless of course you are willing to go back 26 years and discuss success.
  5. That's true but the records don't always tell the tale as to who's the best team, especially 7 games into the season. Lets talk after LDC.
  6. Already said the Bombers are a good team. Denying that the Bombers have been fortunate in some of their wins this season is silly, like both games vs Montreal, the OT game in Regina, the game in Ottawa. One thing the Riders haven't seen though is a blowout at home, unlike the Bombers.
  7. That's funny, other than the very close OT game in Regina in week 2, who have the Bombers beaten on the road in the west?
  8. Like it or not the Argos are the first place team in the league and have the leagues leading passer at QB. Don't discredit the Riders dominant win over them because I don't discredit your win over them.
  9. Dennis was struggling at T for whatever reason. Last week at OG he dominated Brooks (whom IMO is top 3 DT's in the league). Case in point the Marshall TD from the 1yard line where he pancaked Brooks who was injured on the play. And yes the Riders did lose big against the Lions the week previous, good teams rebound after tough losses and win big. That's what the Riders did.
  10. No question the Bombers are a good team and have had some fortunate bounces go their way in many close games. When the Bombers blow out a formidable opponent then I will be convinced they are as good as their record. Until then we shall see. Next 3 weeks are Uge!
  11. Tonight will be a very big one in telling us what this years Riders are all about. Are they the team that blew out the Lions and Argos or are they the team that got spanked in Vancouver. I'm expecting a very close game.
  12. Tell that to the Lions and the Argos whom the Riders dominated. Tonight is a big test for the Riders getting a road win against a western division team, they gotta be more consistent.
  13. Id be very surprised if Sewell is at 100% the way he was injured 2 weeks ago. It'll be interesting seeing him go up against Derek Dennis who's now playing inside at G.
  14. It is debatable, both teams have been in very close games and also been stomped on by the Stamps. The next 3 games will tell the tale IMO. One thing is certain though, the Bombers are good team this year. I have zero problem giving them full credit.
  15. The majority of last CHL season the Regina Pats were ranked #1 in Canada, that is a fact. Many junior hockey pundits say they'll be even better this year since the Memorial Cup in being held in Regina. And your point about sports teams to follow and support is irrelevant, especially when you compare the difference in population sizes between Regina and Winnipeg. Saskatchewan has a strong support for CHL hockey (5 teams) while Manitoba does not. (1 team).
  16. Its debatable whether or now the Bombers are a better team than the Riders, 18 games will dictate that. Right now the Bombers have played 9 games and the Riders have only played 7. Riders and Bombers went to OT in their first game against each other and the Bombers had to rely on a missed FG in OT to win. Props to the Bombers. Both the Riders and Bombers got stomped by the Stamps, happened to the Bombers at IGF. Riders haven't lost at home in that fashion. Both the Riders and Bombers were in very close games against the Alouettes than could've gone either way, props to the Bombers for pulling those out of a hat. The LDC and the rematch in Winnipeg will by dandies!
  17. Right now its pretty tough to gauge where the Riders and Bombers are at comparatively as the Bombers have played 2 more games than Sask. They are only in the 2nd year of the rebuild but if the Riders can be more consistent then they can still sneak into the playoffs.
  18. That is correct, I was one of them. Won't make the same mistake a 3rd time unless the Jets can actually build a team that has a hope.
  19. Haha post of the day. You get it. Love love this time of year. I remember last year at this time many of you wanted Oshea and Walters toasted. Gotta love the CFL
  20. Seriously? If that's true then the Argos have nothing to worry about attendance wise.
  21. Are you ok? Why do you suggest the Riders win over the BC Lions was fluky? We dominated them in all 3 phases. As far as the modern CFL, well I'd say the last decade since all games were on TV.
  22. Speaking about today's CFL is not cherry picking. Do you want accolades for you Grand daddy selling out Winnipeg Stadium? Props to you guys
  23. The tone of your post is quite ironic. Lots of things to do in Sask sports wise, watch the Riders, watch the #1 rated junior hockey team in the country, the Saskatchewan Rush, the Brier is in town, the Memorial Cup, RedSox, UofR Rams, Thunder, etc etc. But then again we could drive 5 hours east to watch an NHL team that rarely makes the playoffs, but we got better things to do.
  24. Another good game by the Bombers, itll be interesting if they can keep up their good fortunes in the 2nd half of the season. Thankfully for the Riders there are still 2 games left in the first half of the season. Bombers won their game in Mtl and full marks for that, too bad our FG kicker shanked our game winning FG attempt in Mtl. IMO Medlock is the Bombers MVP
  25. You just proved my point that in the modern CFL the Riders lead the league in attendance at home and on the road. Punting the NDP was the best thing this province ever did, turned everything around, especially the economy.
