  1. All I'm saying is its time to move on. The Riders have a vision. Their vision is to go young. Will there be growing pains, absolutely; however, you're crazy to think Jones doesn't have a plan. The Riders will be ok. Durant hasn't done anything in two years. A lot of us aren't willing to watch him sit on the bench anymore. I'd rather see young talent try and solidify a spot.

Jones and the Riders are a complete and utter disaster. This couldn't have happened to a better fanbase.

Really. And why do you think that? Because they're in a rebuild. Hmmmmm aren't the bluebombers doing the same? Last year the Bombers fans were about to run the Coach O out of town until he started winning. Sorry but your team is no further ahead than the Riders. And you still have yet to sign Nichols. So your QB situation is currently the same as the Riders.

Does it suck to be a Riderfan and realize that every team in the West is better than you and BC and Winnipeg have two firsts next year and you have limited picks?

Not really. to be honest most of those picks go to the NFL anyways. I'd prefer the Riders trade their pick for a starting o lineman or QB.

They are just so awful. The good news is, the Lions don't look all that great. Riders are just sofa king bad. . .

What are you talking about? the Lions look amazing lately. they are peaking at the right time. sorry to say but your Bombers are going to be in for a good game. it won't be a cake walk.

Anyone have an idea how the Riders can break the CFL record for going through the most players in one season and not violate the salary cap?  Sure a lot of them were only paid for a game or two but when you burn through 120 plus signings in a year, little by little it eats up the salary cap.  Add this to the $26,000 salary cap deduction for earlier roster violations and the financial damage done by numerous retirement after cashing signing bonus scenarios they went through, there can't be much room left.  The auditors better take their fine tooth-ed comb when they go through the greasy green bastards books this off-season.

It's already been said several times by credible sources that the Riders are currently the top of the league in respect to financial security this year. they'll be well below the salary cap.

    More transactions for the Riders.

Which makes me ask the question...

I heard the riders are going to have a healthy stack of money to sign players for next year. I also know that the Riders were close in many games this year. But, if you put those two facts together, it makes me wonder why Jones couldn't have paid a couple of players the money that might have pushed them over the top, and kept the fans more engaged..
Chick, Dressler, and a couple more vets, maybe get them closer?

Would the CFL West division have been even tighter if Jones had followed a more even approach to building a roster?

I have to wonder if he didn't outthink himself...

I think people don't realize how many key injuries the riders had to starting players this year. That's why they were able to have some extra money left over. It will be nice though when we can sign a few more players next year. However, free agency didn't go well with us this year.

Of course if we did get the home playoff game, everyone will be at the Jets game so 24-25K would probably be an absolute maximum in terms of attendance.

I completely disagree. If the Bombers get a home playoff game, I can assure the game will sell out. You don't go that many years without a home playoff game and then have an empty stadium. Have some more faith in your fans.

Hope they are paying Muamba big money for those 2 special teams penalties

First game back for Mumba. Paid 160k + potential bonus. Good deal for the Riders. Just remember how much some of the Bombers get paid. I think it's easily what he's worth. He will get better and he will eventually be more than a special teams player.
