    I’m sure there will be vets floating around after the first day or two of free agency. I am not as high on Metchie as others - but I like safeties who can play physical and he doesn’t strike me as that kind of guy.

    The Gappers have agreed to terms with Auclair. Once again leading the league in the only thing they ever will - overpaying free agents.

    It is just classic Farhan that he rarely gets into contract specifics when it involves the Lions - yet always seems to know the contract for every other team’s signing.

    They just pay the maximum in every signing. It is glorious (and understandable). Nobody takes anything less than the max to play there.

    Teams can up their offers to guys who have agreed to terms with other teams still. Would be hilarious to see guys back away from Sask.

    It does to me. I’m expecting a TJ Heath like disappointment level in CGY. It is all relative though. Each team has a different context.

    And Sask got Thurman, Hardrick, and Ouelette for that. I truly want Sheed to get more opportunity and money - but man would I hate seeing him somewhere else.

    I love Jeffcoat - but we need a guy in the lineup every week and he just hasn’t been able to do that. We can get younger and find a guy like Davis II at his salary from last year let alone a pay bump.

    List is way longer than those two but your point stands. They have to use free agency and to overpay.

    Let’s just assume the usual culprits - Edmonton, Sask and add it Toronto, Hamilton, Montreal, and Calgary because it makes enough sense.
