They were rendered in 480. They would look awful in HD especially 4K. Enterprise was the first series to be made in HD.
Not much future proofing was done. When they restored and upgraded TNG it was Painstaking because the original film might have been easier to scan in HD but all the SFX weee rendered in sD so they all had to be recreated. Very expensive.
Supposedly with DS9 the original creators included extra detail on their modeling to try and future proof it abit but the clip above was a complete re-do from scratch.
Was TNG/DS9/VOY shot on film? TOS was which is why they could HD it.
-
The FX in DS9/VOY dont need much redoing IMHO.

Been meaning to revisit B5. Was there not movies between 4 and 5 or were the movies after 5. Regardless that show the way it was written was pretty incredible.
They should redo the FX like Trek has done.

likewise, I think owning a lot of the Alien toys as a kid also helped knowing about the host traits being encompassed into the alien (there was like bull aliens, gorilla aliens, scorpion aliens...etc).
Didn't scott originally deny there was a connection between Prometheus and Alien? I may be mis-remembering but I thought he said something along the lines of while there are similarities they are not connected. But seems that's changed
During production, he said something along the lines of there is alien dna in Prometheus. So that was a clue it was a prequel that would answer questions about the alien ship in Alien and for most part it did even if diff planet.

Seriously? Where did you see that?
Was not part of line rushes so 4th line is Dano, Copp, Thorbs.
Not surprised. Dano needs to get back in and Reeves will dress hence Thorbs will dress.

Thats an interesting way to put it. Hutch and Pavs?
Guessing Pav/Helle. Even when Helle was in the dog house he was backup to Pav.

Paul Maurice says Pavelec will be one of the two goalies dressing Friday vs. St. Louis.

It had been many years since I saw Alien but Premetheus was a prequel...and the Aliens on that planet were the Alien aliens? But didnt the alien at the end look different? And was with the humanoid looking aliens at the beginning (and the dead pilot)...what was the point? They seeded earth? Or they created the Alien aliens?
Also, this company is the same company that owned the ship in Alien, right? And in "our time" in Predator vs Alien? They used that same actor as the founder of the company who was later the android, Lance Henrickson
Here's the explanation.
The planet in Prometheus is not the same planet as Alien. Diff name.
The "aliens" are a hybrid of the "alien" creature and the host. Hence in Alien & Aliens same look. Alien3 it came out of a dog. In Prometheus the alien came out of an "engineer" guy.
Weyland/Weyland-Yutani tie into everything from Prometheus to A3.
AvP is not part of the canon of the franchise.

That's because Prometheus wasn't originally intended to tie into the Alien universe but they figured that they had to shoe horn it in some how, probably in an attempt to sell more tickets.
As it stands though I don't think you have to put too much thought into the movie, it's an Aliens movie, just watch people be terrified of the monsters.
Prometheus, Convenant(+ one more according to the director) are all prequels to Alien.
TUP, you did not get the connection to Alien? It was like the same alien ship.

True. Perreault was playing hard and hustling awhile before the points started coming. He's been playing like the guy that earned that contract.
Well the contract was after a near 20/g season which is about right but he's been 10g/season since then. That makes him overpaid now.
-
Really good trailer IMHO. So that probably means it will burn. Even calling it the final one.

Perreault has been fantastic for a little while now.
Little should be bolded. Helps to play on a top line.
-
Only thing that really surprises me is Stafford. Otherwise the other stuff I could see coming. Expected a down year. Perreault about as disappointing as last year.

It wasn't cancelled. It was always going to be a 5 year run.
I always thought of it being 4 years then JMS got cash to go to TNT.

Carolina is irrelevant
How is it irrelevant? We're talking about how low we can go. Caroline just needs 4/10 points in 5 games to have more points then us at the same number of games(64).
They got a point tonight. Just need 3 out of 8 pts in the next 4 to be ahead of us,

Everybody does, and yet, he continues to play. Melchiori would be a better option at this point.
Not really want #3/4 LHD playing #3 RHD. Bad enough without switching sides as it is.
