World Juniors

There has really been no discussion here on the World Juniors this year (of course this may be because the site was down for most of the tournament)

Looks like Canada is about to lose to Sweden.  We don't look to have a very strong team this year.

Have to admit I haven't watched or followed a whole lot of the tournament, especially with so few Jets prospects out this year.

Has anyone been watching?

At least they aren't standing there like stone and a WJC loss means nothing to them..... if they were crying, it meant a lot to them.......hated the Russians since 72 series....don't care for US, Sweden or the Czech teams either.

Canada and Russia are special. Before this tournament Canada and Russia have accounted for 30 of 40 gold medals at the WJHC. Canada 17, Russia 13. Canada is 4-3 against Russia on home soil in gold medal games. The U.S. has won 8 medals, 3 gold. Sweden has won 18 medals, 2 gold.

If you hate the Russians, watch this video from 1976, where the Flyers beat the hell out of the Russians.

They're going home!!!
